U saved my hair from dryness - I ve been trying different products for years and no one work. - Honey hydrate game changer for mine hair. Thank u very much🙏🏾
This video is right on time! I use the Manuka Honey Mask, Curlsmith bonding salve, & the multi tasking conditioner…..there is way less shedding when I wash it or even handle it. I also bought a shower head water filter
Undoubtedly the best video I’ve ever come across for high porosity hair. Thank you SO MUCH! This gives me so much hope for my hair (it’s been a loooong road with high porosity).
Fatima, can you do a video showing your wash day routine? You recommended some great products for high porosity hair but im not sure when to use them. I have 4c high porosity hair as well and its so hard finding youtubers.
You are just beautiful and you have such a calming voice......its almost impossible to not agree with you. Thanks for the product tips. I am thinking of try out the Aphogee line as well cos I've heard so many positive reviews on it
I’m so glad I found you!! I haven’t seen anyone with similar hair to my own! I’ve been stuck at a certain length and have been wanting to try new products, so thank you!! ❤
Thank you for keeping things straight forward and giving us a detail of how you use each product and what they're for. It was really educational and I watched from beginning to end. I have big chopped and have had super long hair before, but out of depression I had stupidly cut all my hair off. Now I am trying to regrow it again but I feel like my hair growth is taking longer bcz I don't have a solid hair routine. This has given me a good starting place. Thanks again! God bless.
I use so many of these products. I have to try mixing that CR Honey leave in with some other conditioners to see how that works. The only brand out of these I cannot lose without losing handfuls of hair is anything from Curlsmith. I must be allergic to something they use consistently in their line, because I've tried 3 products form them and all cost me hair right from the roots. Also instead of the Aphogee protein 2 step system I use henna, because I also need to dye my greys. Such a great roundup of products. You're encouraging me to try the Aphogee shampoo. The only things I would add that you might try are k18 as an alternate for Olaplex 0 and 3 sometimes (used between shampoo and conditioner, not before shampoo like Olaplex). And also I noticed a huge, huge difference in the effect of every product after doing a detox shampoo with a chelating shampoo. It turns out my hair had gradually become practically coated in heavy metals, making no product quite work right. A single shampoo and everything seems to be doing what it says it's going to do now!
I am extremely grateful for you taking the time to help us dry hair girls out! 😂 This could be life changing for me. I was already using the honey hydration but that alone was not it. Now I have friends to add to my hair routine.
Whoa disclaimer for anybody reading comments and watching she may say olaplex isn't a protein treatment and it may not be promoted as a protein treatment but read the ingredients yall there's protein in there so careful how often yall use olaplex
I moisturize like once a week on average! Sometimes 2 times a week during the winter! I do either a protein treatment or the the olaplex every 2-3 months.

While transitioning, one thing highly emphasized is to get hair products that are sulfate free. Aphogee has sulfate in it, how do you work your way around the products you use and hair care routine to overcome the effect of sulfate?
Hi! So I’m completely okay with using shampoo’s that contain sulfate in them because I use very thick and heavy products on my hair. Good quality Shampoos that contain sulfate in them don’t negatively impact my hair or scalp.

You’re are welcome!! My hair is not fine at all! It’s pretty thick and high density except for my hairline maybe. I mostly wear medium braids or twists with no added hair!

Soultanicals and all other haircare brands are not all natural because they use preservatives, cationic surfactants, fatty alcohols and other ingredients that are made in the lab. They may claim to be 70-80% natural
I enjoyed your video. It’s funny…you’re high porosity with fine, thick hair (looks like, anyway) and use quite a bit of protein and strengthening treatments on wash day. Well, I’m low porosity with fine, thick hair and I just found out that though I’m low porosity, my fine hair craves protein and strengthening treatments like your hair does. I was so scared like you to try protein treatments until I read a few articles online, stating fine hair, regardless of porosity craves protein more frequently, to help retain moisture. That’s why my hair was so dry and brittle the 2nd or 3rd day after wash day.
Thank you for watching! I actually have thick thick hair but I was terrified to try protein too but it’s what my hair desperately needed! Once I incorporated it into my hair routine I was able to retain moisture for longer and I was also able to retain more length. Protein is definitely a game changer, I was missing out this whole time. What protein products have you used? I’m also glad you enjoyed my video!
@@fatimaxfarouk My hair likes hydrolyzed wheat protein and Ayurvedic strengthening treatments like fenugreek and hibiscus powders in my diy conditioners. Try Kinky Apothecary or Tasalahq. Don't waste your money on Olaplex. Just do good hair care practices and eat balanced diet and make sure you are not deficient in calcium, iron and other relevant body stuffs. Also, incorporate good protective styling into your regimen and trim when needed. Don't follow product bandwagon, use what is good for your hair; if you live in Nigeria especially in Lagos, the weather is always hot and humid so, I'll advise you get products that can create hold, moisturising products under the ones that create hold, and a good clarifying/moisturising shampoo.
Beautiful Hair! Can you please post a monthly routine for your hair? I feel like there is so many products i wonder when you use it or how your routine looks like.
What should I buy to start with. I'm a man with about 6 months of grown hair ha. I can't afford everything all at once here but just need some starters. This is overwhelming me
I’m a man who’s been growing out my hair for 3 years now .. I could help out. I was in the same boat 3 years ago. What would you say your type is? 4b?4c?
Why do you think your hair is such a high porosity? When hair cells are in the hair bulb in the follicle, they are living. The haircells are constantly splitting and dividing in the hair bulb and they eventually form together to make the hair strand that grows out of your scalp. When it grows out it is dead. Porosity is generally thought of by scientists as damaged hair, because from their extensive studies, hair does not grow out porous. Now, it can get porous over time due to many factors. So I'm curious what factors you think caused your hair to become that level of porosity? Especially since you seem to take such good care of it.
Hi! It grew out of my scalp like that. It’s just naturally on the more porous side. My hair has been like this since I started transitioning to natural hair.
