The front is high pros ( fastest to dry - easy to let moisture in and out ) & the middle / back is low pros ( slowest to dry - harder to let moisture in but once it's in it stays in )

I LOST A LOT OF HAIR BECAUSE OF HARD WATER HERE IN BEAVERTON OREGON . IT DOEST EFFECT WHITE PEOPLE OR ASIAN OR EURO LATINO HAIR LIKE IT DOES OUR HAIR. I THINK IT IS A CONSPIRACY .

how do you keep your hair from unraveling in the shower
I think it's the way you twist them will determine if they stay in or not, regardless of being in the shower. If you twist them in the wrong direction or without enough friction it will unravel immediately.
For wigs, it’s also a good idea to wear natural edge wigs or wigs that match your natural hair texture. Then you can wear them as a half wig behind your hairline. I also recommend wig tape or wig grips over glue!

When you say twists and braids is this without extensions?
No I usually use extensions. However, the routine is still the same even when I choose to not wear extensions and do braids/twists only using my hair.

I just wanted bra strap length. It really hit me however (i kinda knew this but was trying nit to think sbout it), after watching a hairtuber's length check video that technically if i wanted bra strap length hair, my hair was going to have to grow way longer than that like waist/tailbone length hair. Sigh- i don't want to deal with that much hair tho lol Anyways we'll see. Lol Rn I'm actually slightly shoulder length and in shrunken it's about neck length or shorter (depends) Doing the whole mini braids thing, it's been like 8-9 months now i believe.
Yeah that's the sad reality of our curly hair. I want my hair also to sit somewhere around bra strap length or even waist length in it's shrunken state but that's A LOT OF HAIR to deal with b/c it would really be like thigh length or so when stretched at that point. 😭 So I def understand that sigh lol & good on you for having mini braids for 8-9 months ! I hope you retain as much hair as possible and reach your goals ! 🏆

Tbh ... not really. It depends on how often you're re-braiding it because the point is to not touch it as much as possible. I would consider braid outs more of a low-maintenance style.

Plez oh Plez … if your low porosity be are when washing your hair with twist in my hair Matted and loc’ed immediately I was able to save it … but it took 8 hours to detangle .. I’m mid back length and I thought I would have to cut it off … I been wearing twist on and off for 2 years with no issues .. but I let them go maybe 8 weeks without retwisting the back , then used a protein rich shampoo and it was devastating ..
