As someone who used to use Android, I’m not one for customization anymore and unless you’ve made the switch like me before you’ll probably not know what I mean. I like the elegance of iOS. At least they’re doing customization the “Apple way” and not going crazy.
Current android user. Am thinking of switching to iPhone next. Maybe for iPhone 17. Apple is slowly implementing all of the Android features that I loved and kept me in, so now I don't see much of a reason to stay with android. Especially with samsung which is going the apple route- not innovating enough and keeping prices high.
Yeah, I got over that when there wasn’t even that much to customize. Made the switch a few months before the iPhone 5 was released and I haven’t looked back since. My androids always had battery problems and crashed unexpectedly. So I gave up the “cool” features iPhone didn’t have at the time for the reliability I didn’t have with android. I had my iPhone 4s for several years even though I upgraded because I wanted the 6s. Used it as an iPod for a couple more years and then gifted it. I had never been able to pass down a phone before that.

This is the first iOS beta in last 2 years with not too much bugs and problem with battery, it’s pretty stable. I’m not on iOS yet, waiting for beta 3 but I searched on internet about this update and people are happy about it
I didn't like the tinted icons design not feature. It's super good. However maybe an option for changing the app background color or just the background and the icons remains in white. Cuz they will probably look bad on top of light wallpaper. Also there should be option to use color codes to find accurate color.

I done it on my personal device, iPhone 15 pro max running pretty smooth, battery life is still good. Go for it I reckon just make sure your phone is backed up just in case.

*The Biggest Update to IOS Ever!* There’s just so many changes it’s honestly overwhelming 😂 *I think my favorite features so far are* 1. theme based icons 2. Linked calendar and reminders. 3. The new widget features also look incredible! Im also curious about what changes there will be in shortcuts. I’ve been hoping they add new shortcut actions for notes. For example: so you can easily duplicate notes (like a template) and maintain the formatting - without having to convert to rich text markup. I can’t wait to explore this new iOS 18, it’s gonna be a lot to take in
I like some of the changes, but omg I hate so many things about the Photos app! I just want a simple photos app, not a whole freaking production of movies and slideshows on the same page as my photos. Also why does it look like the instagram dm photos, with the rounded corners and it not filling up the whole screen? It’s just so stupid! 😭
Just to add to the health app modifications in 18, I use it to track the medications I use daily. I take meds at two different times a day. Usually when I've taken the meds in the morning, the bubble for the day would be solid. I notice now, after taking the morning meds, the day bubble is only partially solid. When I take my evening meds, the bubble for the day is completely solid. Minor but something I noticed.
You do know that all the functions in the new calculater app was already their in older versions, right? Just tilt your phone in the wide rotation and they will pop up.
How can I put the calendar in the way you have it in the beginning of the video in the Lock Screen. At the 30 seconds of the video shows the numbers of the calendar. I would like to know how to do that please
I downloaded it yesterday the second it was available and I have been loving it so far, the control center is so much better now and I love how we can click on an app icon and choose a widget right from there. Apple Music still don’t do the full screen color or animation when playing a song for me or the blurred background.
As soon as I saw the buttons popping up on the screen in new animation (16:35), this seems to me like Apple is planning to replace physical buttons with possibly haptic buttons. Overall this visual queue would at least make sense for that.
One never seen any of these features told anywhere else so thank you so much Brandon, and second wow these changes are every complaint about the iPhone is solved. LOVING iOS 18. There are like 2 bugs that I’ve seen and battery is not too much worse. 9/10 Beta and it’s Beta 1!
How much worse is the battery? Is it still bad, or close to release levels?

I done it on my personal device, iPhone 15 pro max running pretty smooth, battery life is still good. Go for it I reckon just make sure your phone is backed up just in case.

I just want a simple photos app, not a whole freaking production of movies and slideshows on the same page as my photos. Just to add to the health app modifications in 18, I use it to track the medications I use daily. I take meds at two different times a day. Usually when I've taken the meds in the morning, the bubble for the day would be solid. I notice now, after taking the morning meds, the day bubble is only partially solid. When I take my evening meds, the bubble for the day is completely solid. Minor but something I noticed.

You do know that all the functions in the new calculater app was already their in older versions, right? Just tilt your phone in the wide rotation and they will pop up.

I downloaded it yesterday the second it was available and I have been loving it so far, the control center is so much better now and I love how we can click on an app icon and choose a widget right from there. Apple Music still don’t do the full screen color or animation when playing a song for me or the blurred background.

As soon as I saw the buttons popping up on the screen in new animation (16:35), this seems to me like Apple is planning to replace physical buttons with possibly haptic buttons. Overall this visual queue would at least make sense for that.
