Ibreez and Ibrahim , you guys are fantastic! Even at your vacation in the beautiful Honduras, you took some time out to make a highly informational video for us! Thanks a bunch!
After surgical residency and mrcs from my home country can I join gen surg residency(mrcs pathway) in the uk after mrcs and gmc registration ...are the plab students preferred over overseas applicants...what all should I do extra to make my portfolio better
Ibreeze and Ibrahim… thank you for all the guidance… you are doing a fantastic job… I needed to ask you, I have finished my MCh cardiothoracic surgery in India with an additional year in the field(4years in total)… With direct entry into ST3 training in cardiothoracic surgery now abolished, what options do I have in the UK?
Hey there from Kolkata, India. Great work guys. I have one question. Does the publication of a case report count in my CV? It has been published in a PubMed indexed journal and I am the second author in it. Also, the case report is the field of cardiology. Will that be relevant to my CV for entering IMT training? Thanks again guys for all the wonderful work.
Hello. I saw a video about uk graduates being placed in reserve lists and having to wait for the goverment to open more slots because there are not enough places for fy1 doctors ( meaning that junior doctors are oversaturated ). As an IMG planning to train in the UK does this mean that less IMG graduates will be accepted to UKFP?
@@RoadToUK in the upcoming years do you think that they will continue the practice of opening and providing places for all accepted foreign interns ? Or will they start to limit IMGs ?
What is "Rubric" that you mentioned where I can find the requirements or scoring points for each specialty? Sorry I don't know it and tried googling it and searching but still didn't get it
After doing 3yrs MS in orthopaedics in India and completing MRCS is that person eligible for applying for an ST3 Level in orthopaedic surgery or does he need to go through CST?
Hi, very encouraging and informative video thank you so much....... I have one doubt. After my internship, I am currently working in a private nursing home under a surgeon as a duty doctor will that be counted as experience... As I want to take surgery in the UK
Hey ibreez ! Thank you for all the information .. also can you please tell that from where can i download the self assessment forms for speciality training ?
Thank you so much for the information. It is very helpful. I have a question. I have completed my MD 3yr Residency in Internal Medicine in India. Now I wish to apply for speciality training in UK. Which way will be better to enter speciality training like in Hematology or Endocrinology? In India we have DM(Doctor of Medicine) hematology/Endocrinology etc for speciality training. Is there any similar course there in UK? And how to get into it? Thanks. May God bless.
Thanks for all these tips. Im just dropping by here to state out the sad truth of: neurosurgery in my country is very NOT competitive. Yub, well. That’s that.
Can't more agree with you!
Only self doubt is keeping us back!!
Exactly!

Each specialty has a website dedicated to it's recruitment that outlines what is necessary or looked for in the application process.

You'd need to apply for the specialty training programs separate i.e. one application for hematology, another application for endocrinology.

The UK system is set in a way to make you unspecialised for a long time.
