Hi, thank you for the video. I agree with your thoughts. No one cared when there was RMLT and IMG doctors was struggling for years to get into 'undesirable' specialities which left over for them because of not being able to apply in the first round. Having said that I am planning to apply to IMT in November and my application score is 14 out of 30. I am quite stressed as I am afraid that I may not be able to get an interview with this score. What do you reckon the cut off score for this cycle would be?
@@Burak-ng8hc it's honestly hard to say! If you can't bag an interview this year, it's not all said and done. See what can be improved in your portfolio for the next year.
Thanks again Dr Ibreez for your thoughtful insight. Please, could you do a video on the new pilot CT3/IMTY3 Standalone that is starting Aug 2025? I am very interested in it but so far info has been scarce. I, and many others interested, would be very grateful if you could shed light on the programme, in particular eligibility criteria. According to the IMT recruitment website, it is targeted at more experienced IMGs, which form the bulk of your audience/subscribers. Thank you.

Mam ,I am a UG student in georgia. My university is placed in list of overseas medical qualification we may accept .Am I eligible to take plab exam.please reply mam
Hello. Can you please guide me. I am currently studying in some medical university first year and I want to take transfer to some another medical university to my 2nd year so this transfer won't create any problems if I want to sit for ukmla exam right? Transfers are allowed?
Can i get a spot if i score high in PLAB even though I have 6 yrs of experience working as GP and that’s it? I haven’t done any research or any sort of extra training
I don’t get why anyone would be mad at IMGs. I just think it’s silly that so many good applicants from everywhere are turned away due to a lack of training places at a time when the NHS needs more doctors. If we need more specialist doctors then we need to increase training numbers not just medical school places. Then we can accept more UK grads and IMGs. At the end of the day if you’re good enough to be a trainee then you should be trained so we have a better workforce. The competition is nothing to do with IMGs, if they’re gonna add something to the NHS then we should train them. This is coming from a uk grad F2 trying to apply for IMT next year btw
He is asking if competition is more while applying for FY2 non- training jobs after passing PLAB or when consultants from home country applying for ST3 level jobs in uk after passing MRCP?
I am still an aspiring Img wanting to give PLAB to get GMC and i want to do my residency training in uk despite what the uk grads say 😊 I like your video ❤
I dont understand why they are mad with IMGs too. I mean if you are working for a company as an expat like engineer , do they ask which country you are graduate from. like sweden, germany or etc? of course no

Sure thing!
Is there MSRA exam for general surgery?
But does this mean that the people I'm gonna work with in the hospital will be bitter and will discriminate against me if I get in as an IMG?

No, in NHS people are mirror respondents, if you are good, efficient and know your job they will be very friendly with you.
Nice explanation Mam
Thanks a lot!

Greetings mam! Can you please clearify the pathway to work in UK after MRCGP intnl? Can you work in uk by becoming member of rcgp via mrcgp intnl?
In which scenarios is there not an interview?

Your PLAB scores mean nothing. Each speciality has its own recruitment criteria and scoring that you need to meet.

Are you talking about general drs applying for plab or specialist drs already done their md/ms from home countries
What do you mean?
I meant are u talking about imgs right after mbbs or imgs after pg from their home countries??? which one them is facing backlash from british drs?

@@tehreemazmat2929 aw thanks! 😊
even GP ratio has shot up almost 1 : 4 not to mention job saturation with addition of PAs
welcome back by the way hope you all are fine
But as we said- the competition ratio means nothing in this context. Additionally, PAs have nothing to do with the training pathway.
