Funny how you bitter misandrists are bashing Q for understanding that he's still in love with Monica and he couldn't go through with the wedding knowing that his heart belonged to Monica. It wouldn't be fair to his fiance. I'm so tired of you dense reactors bashing this film because you guys missed the damn point.

Quincy *was* wrong sometimes, but Monica was in her own way 95% of the movie lol. Huge chip on her shoulder, making it harder to express herself than it needed to be.

    🔥 Nice reaction! This movie is great bc it shows the true ups and downs of literal lifelong relationships, through a black lens.. It aint always gonna be perfect. Lots of intimacy and love, lots of breakups and arguments, reconnecting and questioning your own decisions.. but there can still be romance there, if it means enough to you to grab at it.
    There are no great movies with perfect characters and perfect relationships, by the way..
    The whole point is to notice the shortcomings as an audience and learn from them, not judge them 😂😂🤦🏾

    • @HD00957
      @HD00957 5 месяцев назад +2

      Multiple storylines are definitely tough to do.. but I think today's generations of young ppl's whole "thing" is to kinda side-eye things that came before them, just because...
      There's a reason why only the older movies get reaction videos made, lol.. because 98% of new art (movies, tv, music, etc) is not very good. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Them getting together in college was a waste of time because he wanted to be a player. After his dad got caught cheating, he just got in his feelings and took it out on her success. Jealous and petty since they met. He didn't even want her frfr. If he didn't get injured and wanted to use her as a cash grab, he would have stayed with Tyra, Gabrielle whoever. MONICA STAND UP!

Not sure how that movie is seen since it has an interracial couple and it has some racial conversations that are a little awkward but well acted. Not sure I I love the quarter structure in this. Love & Basketball is overrated in my opinion because BET, MTV & vH1 played it to death. It's not a romantic movie. Quincy was a narcissist. It was a trait he inherited from his father. He treated Monica the same way his dad treated his mom. Monica deserved better. Fun facts: Omar Epps & Sanaa Lathan were also in The Wood, Sanaa Lathan & Alfre Woodard were also mother & daughter in Something New & The Family That Preys, Sanaa Lathan & Regina Hall were also in The Best Man, Disappearing Acts & The Best Man Holiday, those two & Monica Calhoun were also in The Best Man & The Best Man Holiday, Omar Epps & Gabrielle Union were also in Almost Christmas, Omar Epps and Tyra Banks were also in Higher Learning & Omar Epps name was also Quincy in Juice as well. Please watch the following basketball movies: White Men Can't Jump, Above The Rim, Blue Chips, Hoop Dreams, The Air Up There, The Basketball Diaries, Sunset Park, He Got Game & Coach Carter.
