Your statement about the whole office being Black is exactly what Eddie wanted to display. He talked about having to fight the studio heads for that to happen.
That’s insane he had to fight for that, but not surprising 😞 also your profile picture?? I LOVEEEEE BAPS!
Yes, he felt very strongly about that. He even made it a point to use black companies off set as well, even down to the caterers
This came after Spike Lee chastised him for not using his clout to have more black people in the front office at Paramount (he had a contract with the studio at the time) as well as in his films.
The film was a turning point for him though.
@@StorymodeReactsWhen Eddie Murphy first got his break in show business. He was the token black guy.
I agree 8/10.
"Love should've brought you home last night " - great Toni Braxton song 🎶
These older movies seem to be better quality than the modern era
The performers were definitely a lot more charismatic and the filmmakers themselves were often more skilled/trained
@@dawb86 Better structured plots more original and everything wasn't a reboot. Majority of these movie reaction channels are typically movies at least 15 yrs old so the older movies were better
@jasonhearn5818 yeah.. they don't wanna admit that part tho lol...
@@HD00957 truth hurts lol
@@jasonhearn5818 big facts..
Mother Grace Jones serving LOOKS in every room she enters 😫👏🏻❤️🔥
My problem is we lost our voice. I grew up in the 90's movies like boomerang, love jones, the best man , the wood, poetic justice, waiting to exhale, kept black dollars flowing in Hollywood we don't have these films anymore
You got media 😢
This was serious black people. Grown and sexy and professional. An American Wakanda without the scifi. I give it a 10.
definitely a 10
You kind of look like a younger Keri Hilson. 😄
But yeah, Boomerang was wild and a good comedy. You can kind of tell Halle Berry had to damn near go all in on the low maintenance route to try to not look as "glamorous" as Robin Givens in the film, lol.
I thought that's who she was at first
Boomerang is one of Eddie Murphy’s best movies full with black excellence. This movie has aged gracefully. Please watch the following romantic comedies of the 90s:
Strictly Business
A Thin Line Between Love & Hate
How To Be A Player
This movie has so many black greats. Eddie always did that when he made movies in 80’s and 90’s
It’s the one liners for me 😂
“Where is HR?”
Other movies to watch with Eddie Murphy is Harlem Nights(1989), Coming To America(1988), Life(1999).
All 3 are fire
I have seen this movie over a hundred times and never noticed the lobster tree
That wasn’t no acting with Grace Jones. She like that forreal
😂💯
This is literally one of my Movies of all time, so many Gems and also the movie was ahead of its time with the dynamic and gender roles etc, dan the styling was beyond me. LOVED IT!!! you eye rolls cracked me up!!
I'm so glad you're reacting to this. Not enough reactors do. There are some superstars from my parents era (Eartha Kitt) extending to my era (super model Grace Jones) to current stars. Another one of the greats is #HarlemNights.
Such an all star cast!!!
I worked at AT&T in Atlanta back in 1995 and our office was about 90% black.
Eddie's character Marcus Graham isn't quite running things, but he is a Marketing Executive and Vice President at his company. As for the woman walking her dog, yes that is Lela Rachon from Waiting To Exhale, but in 1989 she previously worked with Eddie in his movie HARLEM NIGHTS. Also, it shouldn't surprise you about Eddie's office being Black. Lots of companies had it like that back then, and they are still like that now.
Many offices in places like DC with all black staff
Bri 🗣️“What are they sellin?” 😭😹
8:01 the way Eartha slid on Eddie 🤣💀
This movie is a classic! Glad you reacted to it. I’m not into rom coms too much but this movie and love jones I thought were well done and had great casts.
I was 7 when Boomerang came out so my first watch wasn't until i was a junior in high school. It's still one of my favorite movies
I was six. My parents was wild, they used to let us watch everything lol. I think we watched this soon as it came on VHS.
@@dawb86good parents 🤣
I love this movie. I wish more would discover it . I love how it showed black ppl succeeding and falling in love and it was funny. Loved your reaction you got a new subscriber
Right to the point: Eddies 2 best movies & my Top 2 favs: ["Coming To America" & "LIFE" co-starring Martin Lawrence]. Two "equally" outstanding, well-made movies!
She looks like Keri hilson
I’m glad someone said this my inner thought said the same the 1st time I saw storymodebae only different is she is even more beautiful 😭
A fun fact: My dad almost named me Marcus Graham because of this movie. & he once met Robin Givens while she was in VA for something (I forgot).
Was Robin nice? She always gave me the mean vibes
@@Fluer-de-Lisshe is mean lol 😂 she cheated on Mike Tyson a then bum actor named Brad Pitt and Brad was so scared that Mike will hurt him when he caught them up.
this reaction was HILARIOUS, one of my fave movies!
Eddie’s head when he’s talkin abt the secret to his salmon has me dyyyyin 🤣🤣🤣
I'm glad that you enjoyed this.
I find it hilarious that two completely different Eddie Murphy's exist for everyone. You are either someone who knows him as the Dr. Doolittle and beyond type which means that him being a foul talking, offensive (in a good way lol), comedian is hard to imagine OR you are someone who knows him as Mr. Raw and Mr. Delirious and knows that he will tell Bill Cosby to shut the f*ck up and have a Coke and smile so him playing wholesome, non-cursing, family man roles is hard to swallow 😂😂. BTW, I belong to the second group lol. I miss Eddie dropping F-bombs 😂
The way you responded to the film is the same effect I had when I first saw it …. It’s harsh but thought provoking
This is one of the only movies I know where HR would be investigating women 24/7 and where women were doing majority of the sexual gossip in the workplace. This concept was unheard of.
Not sure how I came across this but I like your editing style and honest critique of the film
You had me cracking up. Always loved this movie. “Somebody call HR. 😂😊👏🥰 Great reaction
lmao he dont even know push from pull lmao Jaqueline had him effed up
Whew, these are making me feel old. Also, keep these up!!
ahhhh one of my favorite movies of all time ❤🙏🏾
Homegirl so glad you reacted to this Boomerang definitely a favorite in our culture😂 my favorite part is pops talk about don't be whipped reverse it whip that.. bang bang bang bang bang bang bang😂😂 you got to coordinate I really do hope you got a lot more videos cooking up like this that you have not seen keep growing and striving homegirl peace and Wellness to you👍💪✌️
-Eddie’s best movie (imo). -Arguably the most quoted Eddie movie among my friends and I ( and that’s saying a lot). -Robin Given’s biggest role.
-The movie that took Halle Berry from bit character to lead actress.
-Arguably the best cast of any Eddie Murphy movie
-Top notch movie soundtrack
-The soundtrack introduced us to Toni Braxton
-PM Dawn’s greatest hit song…
Absolute 90’s classic!
@3:13 That was Shari Headley who played Eddie Murphy's love interest in Coming To America. She was just making a cameo appearance, thats why it was short. Back then, Eddie Murphy would have actors from his previous films make cameo appearances in whatever present film he was working on at that time.
omg!!! I didn't even realize that was her!!!
@@StorymodeReactsthat wasn't Sheridan Headly that was a famous model at the time
The feet thing was more than the painted toenails. It had to be feet without 🌽 🤣
Classic movie here 🍿
I enjoyed watching your reaction to this film.
I still have the VHS that Pop Pop used to own, but haven’t watched it in years before 2023.
The timing on this had me dying lol 16:06
Man….teenage me was obsessed with Halle Berry lemme tell you…
she's a queen!!
I’m a new subscriber to your page. I checked out your reactions of Drumline & Bones and I loved them both. Boomerang is one of my all time favorite movies. Trust me it aged very well. Boomerang is probably the best black romantic comedy made. I’d love to see you react to The Wood, Juice, New Jack City and The Best Man.
Thanks for watching! Beginning in March, I’ll be taking all of the suggestions y’all drop and start doing polls on what’s coming up next on Patreon 🤎
Magnificent reaction video 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
You should watch "Love Jones" next.
Eddie was the man, Love this movie
I hope you feeling better 🥰✊🏾Made my day a whole lot better seeing you pop in my notifications 🎉
I’m almost 100% again! Thank you for the well wishes 🫶🏾
Great reaction this was one of my favorite movies back in the day. I’m a new subscriber and I’m checking out all the rest of your reactions and looking forward to seeing many more keep up the good work. 👍🏽
One of my favorite movies of all time. Glad that you enjoyed it.
Boomerang is a BLACK CLASSIC. This a dope reaction. The edits are funny as hell.
" what are they selling" ?! 😂😂
Boomerang and the last dragon are two of my top favorite movies of all time❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🏿👍🏿💯💯💯
I adored this movie when I was growing up, watching this year brought back memories 😭 I’ve obsessed with the actresses in these movies, especially Eartha Kitt, ever since! Jaqueline is the blueprint 😂 and Angela ate him all the way TF up! This was so fun to watch, new fave react channel 🙌🏾
Boomerang is such a good movie😂
Great Reaction!!!
I love old black movies from the 90s they always hit different. Another great movie you might like would be Poetic Justice I love that movie so much with Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur.
🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If you haven’t seen it yet check out A Thin Line Between Love & Hate(1996) starring Martin Lawrence.
Liked at "Madame Zaroni" 😂😂😂
You're so entertaining lol
FINALLY!!!! I’ve always loved this Movie so much!! Nobody ever has reacted to this !! I’ve been suggesting to everyone for yrs . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☑️
Just popped up in recommendations n im like "Daaang who is this reacter" she is fiiine 🤣
Pointing is crazy work 🤣🤣🤣
One of my favorite movies
If you haven’t seen House Party(1990) and Class Act(1992) check them out.
I was a whole year old when this came out. Its wild to see a VCR, Eddie as a player and just the style.
I am loving this movie series you’re doing, you have me cracking up chile 😂 now i gotta go rewatch Boomerang 🙏🏽
The only thing that kept Boomerang from being perfect is that Marcus should've ended up alone.
That was actually the original ending Eddie didn't get the girl at the end the studio change it
Rate 10 roses because I loved this movie as a 17 year old and I'm so happy you did a reaction to this movie 🍿
As a kid i always liked Grace Jones so when this movie came out not only did it have John WItherspoon but Strangee popped up and i was hooked, "buuggrth" : P
You need to watch love Jones.
Love Jones is my favorite black love movie.
Nia Long and Larenz Tate were fine as hell in that movie.
Oh wow! This is an unexpected reaction. I love it SMB.
The eyes Roll, hilarious…
Marcus and Bill Bellamy from How to be a player was my role models
The comments counter was hilarious
Hi. 3 people in this movie was in 3 different James Bond movies.😊😊
watching you watch this is life
Wassup Storymodebae I really enjoy your videos 😊
My favorite movie ever
Vampire in Brooklyn
That look tho at 8:54 is funny especially with that music in da background in that second as you are sighing
Everything that would be considered offensive today was simply funny at the time.
Your reaction was hilarious!!!
I love your reaction to movies where no one gets shot or killed like this, Love Jones, and Soul Food. Hope you do a reaction to the classic Spike Lee movie School Daze. I wish this movie touched more on who was Martin Lawrence character dating or falling in love with.
You look like Keri Hilson
Check the soundtrack. Huge hit album.
Great Reaction you are funny and cute! You have to react to Class Act 1992 starring Kid N Play I think it way funnier than Some of the House Party movies!
That was a good LOVE movie
Because for real what were they selling 😂😂 You should do The Wood next
Most of all the older movies/ tv shows are better then bs nowadays studios are to worried about pushing agendas.
Omg she was offended by stuff we didn't even bat and eye...it's truly a wierd time smh
Great reaction! 👍🏿
Neo's "Miss Independent" video is off of this ;).
The zoom in and outs... less of could work. thanks for the upload
Invested? 😆 You had me dying. “I’m sorry, Angela, I’ll let you do the talking.” Someone mentioned already, but I’ll second by saying, Seeing this adds a little something to Toni Braxton’s banger, Love Shoulda Brought You Home. I’ll also put my vote in for Harlem Nights - A period piece. All-star cast, too. A ton of comedians.
Classic!! Thx grl!
without a doubt one of the best reactions I have ever seen please react to set it off and the usual suspects
This is good love the video story mode stay motivated dream big 1 mill on the way you should watch nothing to lose with Martin Lawrence next
Love Jones!
3:09😂😂
This was so good! You should react to jungle fever. That was the first movie Halle Berry played in.
Has anyone told you kinda look like Keri Hilson😂❤
Yall tell me every day 😅
@@StorymodeReacts oh okay 😂definitely a compliment
THATS WHO SHE LOOK LIKE I started following her a few months back and I keep struggling about who she look like and I definitely see Keri Hilson
Boomerang is a CLASSIC! But if you thought this was too much, I recommend a reaction to "The Best Man!"
Also, has anyone ever told you that you look like Keri Hilson & Debbie Morgan? You favor a combination of them!
Subscribing for Boomerang alone! I love this movie so much
