👋
Faraz is such a valuable person to have as a voice for veganism.
Absolutely! He's lovely.
Yes scientists - massive issue for me personally to deliberately cause such pain to continue without thinking how can we stop doing this without acknowledging the causes of why so many people one in two - there is a reason as with other conditions and also to pursue today's research without damaging another sentient with new methodologies
I follow Dr. Faraz. He truly puts himself out there and no matter how uncomfortable he is, he is stoic. I admire him so much.
I hadn't heard of him, but thanks to David I'm happily a new follower of his!❤
What a smart and reasonable guy. We need more of him.
🙏 Thank you!
One legend in conversation with another! ✊️💚
Beautiful, genuine, touching 💙
Dr. Faraz is a dynamo!!!!💚🌱we are so fortunate to have him representing the animals.🌱
I made some calf liver and onions for my girlfriend and I. We both really enjoyed our meal.
This man is a hero. We love him 💚👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌱✅
🙏 Thank you! Much respect for speaking up!
Faraz is such an inspiration! Thank you for all the amazing work you do Faraz! 🔥❤
🙏Thank you so much, just my duty!
The part in the end about the trivial reason billions of animals go through literal hell on earth was incredibly sad 😢
Dr. Faraz Harsini, thanks for be a strong role model. Keep it going!
🙏 Thank you! Just my duty :)
Fifteen minutes in, excellent interview!
Looking forward to this.
Same
Some really powerful viewpoints are in this. 💚
🙏 Thank you!
It's a heart-warming conversation. Two people on the same page about animal ethics. ❤ Thank you!
🙏 Thank you!
What a fucking legend. I'm so glad we have these awesome people on the animals' side.
Thank you!
Faraz is a very good person, I follow him from a year
🙏 Thank you! I appreciate the kind words :)
My goodness, this was a great interview, and you manage to convey this urgent message and appeal so compellingly. Well done, I am glad to be vegan and also an animal rights activist, you guys give me hope for the future.
Faraz is such an amazing and admirable advocate! Really great conversation.
🙏 Thank you!
My fave interview so far! Incredibly insightful and informative 🙌 we need more trail blazers like this 🙌
Thank you, David, for all you do for the poor innocent animals!!💚💚💚💚🌱
This was a very pleasant listen. Faraz is a lovely person with great perspective. Thank you!
🙏 Thank you!
BRAVO! This is one of the greatest interviews on veganism I'VE EVER SEEN. I've had the honor of meeting this wonderful person, Faraz, he is not only one of the most powerful leaders in the animal rights/veganism movement, but he is an exceptionally kind, humble and generous human.
And David, you and Faraz are two of my favorite activists - bold, no bullshit, from the heart. Not much makes me happier than seeing the greats team up! I hope you both continue to collaborate, and I love how spicy this got. More please!
Y'all, here's to changing, speaking up, going forth in our lives with courage, being true to what we know is right, letting our passion guide us, despite what others think or say about us, feeling the fear and doing it anyway. Let these two inspire you, that you may become a greater version of yourself too.
🙏💚💚💚👏👏👏
🙏 Thank you for your support and always writing the best comments :)

A great interview! And what a great guy dr Harsini is, warrior for animals!
🙏 Thank you!
I wonder David if you could take this video and shorten it somehow so we can produce it to show non vegans when required. It is a brilliant video. Thank you both,
I will try to do that on my channel but it will be a few weeks until I get to it :)

excellent conversation 👊🖖✊
One of the best conversations I've listened to. Two thoughtful, intelligent and compssionate people sharing ideas was just what I needed today. The world needs more. Just shared on FB to Vegan Wiltshire.
Thank you for having Faraz on. I've worked with him many times and he's amazing at outreach.
I've started going back to school again (age 40) and I'll be focusing on environmental science, with a concentration on conservation in agriculture. So, it'll be interesting to see where I go with this. Scientists need to step up and make a change.
W interview!
As an Iranian vegan, thank you for this!!
"In the face of injustice, silence is not an option." - Dr. Faraz
Thank you, David. This guy was very interesting to listen to. I learned some talking points. Keep up the great work this year!

Great talk guys. You rock❤
I've been vegan 15 years and it hasn't gotten easier in a social way. Sometimes I do get down. I wish friend, family, coworkers etc.had an ounce of understanding of where I'm really coming from. Listening to you two refills the coffers and makw me whole again!!!
Amazing interview. I’ve never supported a RUclips channel before but you and your work is so powerful I’m on the verge. You’re the best of the best imo

great talk
one of the things that works quite well for me with muslims bringing up halal slaughter is saying muhammed really cared about animals
he created halal slaughter because back then it was the most compassionate option available. right now we have the option to follow his intent further and be so compassionate that we don't have to harm them at all, so shouldn't we do that instead?
as for taste not being enough, i think it's because of how we've evolved
it's easier to fight in wars when one can compare ones victims to those of beings one is okay with killing, so what meat represents (the death of those not strong enough to defend against 'our' might) gives off a sense of safety and comfort.
ironically it actually leads to less safety as it's mainly used by serial killers, mass murderers and other violent crime perpetrators
Good discussion, David and Faraz. Thanks! 😺
🙏 Thank you!
❤
what an amazing human. following him
Me too.
About vegans that say “I’m vegan but I don’t care about what you do”. Yeah, I don’t get how some vegans don’t care, but in my case, I don’t know a single vegan. No one in my family or friend circle (or outside from it) is. Not even my boyfriend.
When my family goes to a restaurant, I stay alone at home. But when the whole family gathers I have to go (cause I wouldn’t see my family) and sit next to plates of dead animals and hear the dumb comments. Over the years they have “accepted it” and buy me vegan products, even my grandparents.
It’s depressing but I would be alone 100% of the time.
There are no vegan restaurants and they wouldn’t eat in one (except my boyfriend, who eats vegan when he visits).
yooo my compatriot Mr Harsini
Was this video-ed at the 2023 International Animal Rights Conference? I was wondering about the poster on the wall. Next one is between September 5th to 8th, 2024, at the Kulturfabrik in Esch, Luxembourg.
Yes :)
It's awesome that Faraz is on the Right side of history and he's speaking up and being active!
My wish is to visit Iran one day.
There is nothing more urgent than to go Vegan and start speaking up boldly. Thank you Vegan activists 💚💚💚❤❤❤
Thank you Dr. Harsinih & David, well said!
“Until we have the courage to recognize cruelty for what it is - whether its victim is human or animal - we cannot expect things to be much better in this world. We cannot have peace among men whose hearts delight in killing any living creature. By every act that glorifies or even tolerates such moronic delight in killing, we set back the progress of humanity.”-Rachel Carson

I agree, but also if were few animals we shoud work for them to end their suffering. Grate doctor
❤💛💪🙌. I have hated the term " masculinity" since the first time I heard it!
Keep going dude! Guy, (the vegan tattoo artist)
Even with cultivated meat becoming mainstream I would find it inconceivable to eat it. Being vegan my taste preferences have changed. Also cultivated meat would still be detrimental to health.
I have to agree with you on this & wonder how some of the vegan movement is being suckered into become cheerleaders for it. Possibly the "detrimental to health" element might be something they could engineer out, but that STILL wouldn't make it acceptable to a vegan lifestyle. Eating it would reverse all of the benefits gained from transitioning/transforming the digestive system to run on plants. You'd still end up with the stinky dog breath, the lump of putrefying meat taking 7 days to pass through your body, you'd end up with smell of dead corpse on your skin etc.
Donald Watson & others bought into the whole idea of "vibrations" from food that is shared by by spiritual paths. I don't know if we need to go that far, but simply on a digestive level, it's a needless step backwards.
Incredible human Faraz is 💚
The vegan community should really study natural law It seems as if a lot of folks are getting very close to the core principles and just need that formal education to solidify things.
David you've probably heard this about a dozen times now but I really need to link up with Mark Passio this year
In every man sleeps a prophet,
and when he wakes there

Right. All of these fake prophets are evil.

Amazing guy
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Principle is not a principle, unless it costs you.
54:10 I don't think imagination is the issue, but rather the lack of imagination. 🌈
27:00 The ironic thing to me is that I started reducing my animal product consumption when I realized that I do not care about animals that are not close to me, because I do not care for human strangers much either. They are often just statistics to me.
My personal feelings do not make my behaviour good or bad and do not change the effects of my decisions.
100%. If you were to randomly spawn as any animal on earth, you will be most likely, nearly 100% likely, born into immense suffering. Whether you are a factory farmed animal or an animal in the wild. The suffering and torture you will endure is magnitudes worse than nearly all of human struggles. You will face the fear of starvation 24/7. The fear of being mauled alive and torn apart. The fear of being slaughtered and tortured by farmers. We need to help our fellow earthlings get out of these hellish environments.
Wow he sounds like Buddha im actually Buddhist
Forcing them to see the truth and think critically - painful.😐
In '93, my first year as a vegetarian, I tricked a meat-eater with a veg.burger.
Even completely nobody suffering…
Just wondering David, I think we need to acknowledge that most vegans are female and question why that is. Men seem a lot more resistant to the idea of animal rights and often cite ideas or concerns related to masculinity in defense of 🥩ing. Toxic masculinity can be a charged term, I get that. Would you be open to the proposition of calling this fallacy that male 🥩-heads make an "appeal to masculinity" or "appeal to gender/gender norms"?
Can’t wait for my dogs 🐕 it would be great cultivation of meat. I love dogs for protecting me mental health and exercise. I don’t tolerate other animals because it’s not right. But I don’t think my dogs are great with vegan kibble so that would be great
Leave portraying as a philosopher to a vegan. Om shanti bless.
Well, the God of the Christian bible is not exactly all loving and all kind, so I don't reply think he's the best model for the good (though, some say Jesus refers to a different, true and higher god than Yahweh).
LGBTQ RIGHTS
We can just take the "human" out of human rights and everythings fine
I thought he was indian lol
6:30 unfortunately, this is what happens when people aren't Christian. Animals don't have a knowledge of good and evil. The math example is also absurd and a dangerous conclusion to reach.
animals are not ours to use.
@@animalsareherewithusnotforus That's an assertion. An opinion.
There’s humans who can’t comprehend good, or evil.
@@bobhill4364 we are not entitled to the bodies of others.
@@animalsareherewithusnotforus Other what? We are only in a position to begin having this conservation because humans have and continue to use animals for the benefit of humanity.
U listen to a lgbt lol. Well I guess u have lost me even more
This is so dumb. I guess they don’t realize that PEOPLE are ANIMALS.
Humans are animals that aren't supposed to eat other animals. 😊
The important thing you are missing is that animals aren't people
That means we have to eat them ?.
What a bizzare thing to say
@@julienfroidevaux1143 thats the question, eat them all or eat none of them?
Exactly, people are animals, and you wouldn't hurt other people unnecessarily right?
Eat your meat folks
Yep, its grown on your own body, no one else must be hurt
Auto cannibalism eh, go for it!
Eat meat if youre pro animal abuse.

I don't trust lab-grown meat, because nobody is talking about the affect over the animals, if it is on a world-wide scale.
As I understand, we will still need animals. So, how would they live? How many animals on a farm? How much Space would they have - opened and closed for the winter? Would it be a Good life for them? Or it wouldn't be financially beneficial for the Business?!
And what about old or sick animals. If their meat is not Edible, then would they kill this useless for the business animals? Probably, yes!
We should support lab-grown mean ONLY if we have a good vision what it would be, if a whole country eats this meat. And data is showing that all animals would have a good life and wouldn't be ever murdered (too old, sick, but curable, etc.).
Today, I am Not in favour of lab-grown meat!
(as a transition only - I don't know; as an End goal - Never)
Using bacteria is better - fermentation.
But still totally Unnecessary!
