I'd say "be vegan if you have to" but I would never tell other people to be vegan because meat includes many materials that the human body needs.

I usually get upset watching people being so arrogant against veganism, but in this case, it felt more like pity. They don't know better and being so immature. I used to blame cognitive dissonance but I am convinced is more like severe stupidity.
Cognitive dissonance is the feeling of unease from your actions not aligning with your morals.
And people wonder why vegans seem to have a bad attitude. We have to deal with this daily. On top of the same absolutely brain-dead arguments every few hours. Enough to drive anyone mad.

Yup. The only thing they care about is what the other teen thinks of them. So stupid. Thank heavens I wasn't so self-absorbed when I was that age. Instead, my sister and I snuck little vegan cards of cows in the meat sections in supermarkets.

@@Mercymurv For many sadly it is. No responsibility, no real life experience, shortsighted view of things, thinking they know it all. Veganism aside this is how so many kids are. I see it all the time in my kids, in their friends, in my friends kids, even in myself when I think back to that age.
When they’ve matured a little they maybe ready for a proper conversation but until then it’s going to be very hit and miss trying to get sensible answers.

Sure a bad apple in specific will act like this when they are younger, because they haven't learned how to imitate civility, but I would maintain that it has nothing to do with age in itself when other kids in the same circumstances do not act that way.

I'm not a Christian, so bear that in mind.
I think the claim that the Bible is one of the most tampered with books in history is erroneous.
It was slavishly maintained for many centuries by obsessive zealots.
There have been additions and subtractions, but most of these are "known" by scholars.
There have also been ongoing disputes over interpretation of texts.
I really like your activism, tbh. I always forget how tall you are. Anyway, it is hard to explain to people that loving someone or something means not destroying them. For some reason, people do believe that and when faced with the direct questions cognitive dissonance hits hard.
It is also sad that speaking the truth, being direct is seen as "Karen" or "agressive" (Joey's convo with two girls). People will say anything just to make themselves believe they are on the right side and they are the good ones while simultaneously not wanting to do anything to make a change.
I'm often thinking about this, and wondering if this is a good example of why different types of activisme is needed - tho with the front man being honest and direct, a little like this video. Or, if it should be only direct, and say that those people who don't go vegan now, at least have the right idea about veganisme and is left to change when others do or it gets easier.

But these teenagers are not 100% there during this conversation. It is easy to tell that they do not give a damn to think a second about how it actually feels for these animals. If they would actually sit down and do the research, watch videos and think about these awful acts, they would behave differently. Not the tortured, terrible looking, murdered chicken. If we would stuff animal products with shocking images of slaughtered animals, it would look much different.

For these young ladies to laugh and think that animal cruelty is amusing is beyond insane. These girls are contributing to such horrific crimes on the most innocent beings on this planet. One of the girls said that they can't speak but what she doesn't realize is she doesn't understand other people's language in other countries either but it doesn't make it right to hurt someone. I can see so much immaturity in both of them, but I sincerely hope that through David's Outreach that a seed had been planted and will grow Within them. Just because Society did things in the past doesn't mean it was right to begin with. And by the way the young lady that said that God created animals to be eaten was incorrect. If she truly was a Christian and read the Bible she would know that in the beginning there was no meat eating at the end there will be no meat eating so why not emulate that now? I highly doubt that either girl is a Christian for the fact that they could kill a human being and laugh about it. I guess it didn't surprise me that they support animal cruelty seeing as they don't even care about human life. I think some serious therapy is needed in this case.
I was also thinking about plant abuse, just because they are grounded and can't communicate discomfort it doesn't mean we can kill a plant. They have the same life source that of an animal. And think about nature, eventually all life on earth will be killed because the sun will become a giant, does nature really care about individual life?
