Camp out was brilliant except our disability section had a non vegan vandalising our area including the toilets and harassing festival goers… what a meat flake
I needed to hear this message, David! The path that I've been on since last year is leading me towards doing activism and making content. I'm currently enrolled in a class called "How to Become the True Media" and it is instructed by Mark Passio. I'm very excited to see what I come up with for content ideas, and I've already got some great stuff in mind.

Hilarious talk, David! Those 3 points were great. Love the way you hit all the hot button topics right off the bat that vegans argue with each other about. Speaking of which, that person telling you back in 2006 that not eating meat was impossible, that you'd die without it, sure reminds me of the silly things we're all now being told about B12 supplements! (don't expect a laugh after that one)

As for God so "obviously" not existing, many highly intelligent and vegan people throughout history would beg to differ on that, from Pythagoras to Leonardo da Vinci to Benjamin Franklin to George Bernard Shaw to Nikola Tesla to Gary Yourofsky.

It's exactly like someone passionately hating an ex-spouse because intense but fustrated feelings of attachment and desire remain. O'Connor - previously a practicing Catholic - can't separate himself from religion, and discusses it constantly and with gusto. This is very obviously not the behavior of a content non-believer. Is he in denial, trying to convince himself? Having once been a fully rational, vociferous and briefly convincing vegan, his reversion demonstrates philosophical inconsistency (or dishonesty, perhaps), so covert theism isn't at all unlikely in my view. As for all the supposed religious vegans you've listed, only Yourofsky actually is/was vegan, and I've never heard him talk about personal worship of a god. The others were vegetarian welfarists at best. Franklin kept sheep for milking and was partial to turkey meat. Tesla - son of a priest - stated in later life that he believed in only the physical. Oh, and there's no evidence that he was ever vegan. Leonardo was very keen on dissection and vivisection, and his drawn depictions of dissected monkeys, cats, horses, a lion, and many other animals, both domestic and exotic, alive and dead, are very well known. Dear old Pythagoras comes close, but honey was a regular element of the diet to which he gave his name, so he definitely wasn't vegan. I doubt whether those historical figures would be believers if born into our present. Religious observance was the rigidly enforced staus quo before modern philiosophy and scientific practice challenged the irrational and improbable explanations provided by religion. Dissent was punishable by harsh sanction. I've worked closely with many scientists (biologists mostly) and not one has ever expressed belief in anything irrational or improbable, such as virgin conception, creation, reincarnation, spirits, miracles, heaven and hell, etc. To do so would have, quite rightly, brought them professional discredit. Nonsense and misinformation really shouldn't be tolerated. It can be dangerous.

wow, so proud of you these speech will brought tears to my eyes, all the animals being killed makes me said, well done we must speak for those whom are oppressed and unable to speak, also i found this video really motivating
while I rigorously munch on my big mac
I have a rescue centre. I was asked by a horse rescue if i would rescue four young horses that were due to be shot. Although i only had a acre paddock with shelter, I felt I had to agree to take them. Obviously this was not enough land but better than shot!
A few years later i homed them. It is impossible to find homes where people have vast acres of land. So some horses (not all) would get bored if stood in a small paddock year in year out. Just as a dog needs more than a courtyard garden and likes to go for a walk, so too many horses enjoy a hack and good leg stretch. Its not perfect that dogs are walked restrain on leads and trained to walk safely but in this world of too many dogs needing homes, it has to be accepted. The same thing with horses, too many needing homes. Also unlikely that a monied landowner will want a rescue horse. So its people with a small parcel of land that will want to recue.
So until there are no more restrained pets, homes where exercise and stimulation has to be done on public land, both dogs and horses be have to have an unnatural life or be killed.
My horses are in safe forever homes and I believe I did the right thing to rescue them. I am a Vegan, but I home my rescue dogs and cats to non vegans. They will feed them meat, doez that make me non Vegan?
Gary Yourofsky said, to do the least possible harm. I have saved 1000s of animals which i couldn't have done if I only homed to people with acres of their own land. Sadly its not a perfect world, I worry every time I home a dog or cat. I wish we didn't own pets but we do and by the millions 🙁.

Some people are guilty of 'presentism,' judging those from the past, according to what is believed today. If Ramms had lived in previous centuries, does he think he would've walked everywhere?

@@homie3461 I'm vegan... having or not having an animal ingredient is not what defines veganism, animal exploitation defines veganism. Focusing on cross contamination is one of the things that attracts future exvegans... It's fine if it makes it gross, I won't eat it if it is made on the same grill, but that fat will be there regardless so the fat won't cancel the effect of ordering a vegan product. It would be different if demanding the burger meant demanding animal fats, but cross contamination doesn't do that.
Perhaps it wasn't practical or possible for Joaquin to not ride a horse 🤷🏼♀️
