D Sub is a connection like an old 80s/90s printer cable, with heaps of pins.. this way you can just use 1x cable instead many cables out the back

I'm amazed how detailed the Resor sounds, just from youtube alone, it sounds incredible! (love your videos).
I might want something a bit more 'punchy' and contemplating between Resor 2525 and ARS 1100. I used to own a Lucia but I had to make a reluctant sale.
ARS straight off the shelf from Juno lol, but not been reading great things about their latest mixers.
    Thanks for this demo.

Everything you stated is exactly accurate.
As an owner of this mixer the upfaders curve is horrible to say at best. You can make it work in the mix but only if you use the gain to do the rest of the job.
The per channel high pass is True not progressive and has fast dead spot and the low cut is much better its pretty flat.
The Master filters are what make this mixer shine!
If this mixer had upfader select switch to adjust the upfader curve and Master insert it would be a keeper.
I bought it and selling it.
Now in regards of the xone 96 if that one had a Master dual filters like on the model 1.4 or if there was a secondary switch on each channel so that we could assing both filters on each channel one filter high pass and other one low pass filter now that would be best bang for buck.
For the Last thing the model 1 is more made for people that Play techno and use synth and other stuff.
Not a pure dj friend ly mixer.
If i kept it it would be used as an addition not a standalone dj mixer, more like a sculpting tool and a mixer beef up and phaten up the sound before the Amplifier.
And as far the filters go the Master filter on my model 1.4 is the exact same as my xone 62.
I did test runing both mixers into my djm850 and i tested it with the same track and everything set to 0 db only the xone mixers could only do either high pass or low pass.

As another comment says, D-Sub is a professional connection standard using 25-pin connectors (like the old printer cables). It’s a multi-channel connection, so as well as being more convenient, it saves a lot of space. But possibly the best feature is the fact that D-Sub allows balanced connections. Balanced have better rejection of external noise, but also better dynamic range as they work at higher dBU level. It allows connection to high end sound cards, and also synths / instruments that have balanced connections. Really very special to be included on a mixer like this.

I never really got on with my xone 92 - the volume curves are way too exponential so it's hard to be smooth and also the faders are so slick that it's hard to be precise too. Seems like the model 1.4 the exactly the same? I also found the 92 quite cold sterile sounding. I think I want a rotary but not sure what to get. Features wise the mastersounds v4 seems great. Is it just the valve ones that are coloured or is the radius also coloured? The radius could be good if I can live without the EQ. I like the feeling i'm on a punchy defined high end club system like you mentioned with the model 1. I like what I've heard from the Conseda.

Very good explanation and detail, one of the best!! Dont know if you had the opportunity to check the Pioneer V10..what do you think about V10 in comparison with the Model1. Hard to decide what to choose between these two

Being honest, if the Model 1 does not have that aweful fader curve, it is one of the best mixers I ever tried. I prefer it against all Mastersounds mixers. It is unique.

@@pablospace even if i im into rotaries mostly, i prefer the model 1 because it uniqueness to mix with the HPF/LPF compared to the MS MK1. However the new MK2 on Mastersounds is very attractive due to the new addition to the HPFs per channel (talking about the valve version). So in that scenario, I would give it a try to the MS MK2.

    • @nagchumpalot
      @nagchumpalot Год назад

@@taccntb4345 Well if you have trs inputs. In your sound card you would get a dsub to trs cable so out dsub from the Play differently to trs in on your sound card and of course you need the right amount of inputs on your card..
Something like a Motu Ultralite mk5 would be good for example.

Hey, no word about the summing, the fader curve? The most important functions for long and smooth mixes and here lays the problem. This mixer isnt made for long and smooth transitions. Its made for layering, for techno and minimal. There is a reason why no house dj use the model 1 family, it just not made and work for them. Also i would not say that mastersounds is coloring the sound more then resor mixers. Mastersounds sounds flater in generel then resor, besides the tube mixers - they color different as longer / warmer as they get. But resor is coloring also, in a nice way, like condesa. You want a flat, neutral mixer? Go isonoe or better varia Instruments. The varia has the fastest bass out there, punchy dry and direct. HF mate

You can mix any music on any mixer.
Bar not having a fader to scratch it doesn't matter and it also depends on how you play.
Not every dj does fast cuts....or needs to scratch....if that's not your style then any mixer fine.
Yes there are mixers suited for different djs, and different styles of mixing...its all down what you want as an individual.
I have a mastersounds rotary 4v....and I mix every style on it....
