It is amazingly rare that a live band can do what these guys do in the studio, on stage.
damn i can honestly say that this is one of the most badass songs today. he has an awesome voice and it leaves me feeling a little bit more epic everytime after I finish listening to it.

They dont realy slow down in fact , they just change the guitar work a little bit, but youre right its the best part of the song

Black Keys played one of my favorite sets at SxSW this year. Definitely one of the best live bands in the US right now. Brothers is a SICK album - probably my favorite new LP of 2010. It's right there with The Big Come Up.
Carney is a decent drummer with tons of love for the music and it shows. He's not trying to be the next Pert just trying to do the music justice.

Perfect , just like the studio version . These guys have style , and charisma , reminds The Beatles, not only because the Ludwig drums , the Dan's guitar stripe , and Dan n' Patrick clothes n boots , but the energy in stage , playin with passion , enjoyin the moment !!!

I saw them at the Ed Sullivan Theater for their second Letterman appearance and prior to that I had never heard of them..and ever since I saw them live I will always be a fan. They are fantastic!
I believe this performance should be a bench mark for all current day live performers

Why does Patrick Carney always look like he's just picked up sticks for the first time?
Like he literally just learned a 2/4 beat yesterday. Also, if you watch other performances on they do on Letterman, Dave always messes with Carney at the end. It's hilarious.
The Black Keys have been my favorite band for several years now, but there's no denying that Patrick is the Ringo of drumming in our generation...

Pat grooves his ass off! He has his own style and feel, and he comes up with parts nobody else would have... He isn’t a technician and that’s one of the things I love about him.

I saw them 2 days ago in Lisbon. I stood 9 hours on my feet, And it rained all day, but damn!, it was the best hours of my life. And when a saw them comming in, I almost cry.

Love this band!
IMO these guys are much better than jack white, but Dan's more detached stage presence has made them less popular. He gets into the music but he doesn't really engage the audience so he doesn't get the attention white does despite being his equal musically and a better songwriter. Just my opinion.
You're opinion is irrelevant. How strange it is that Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Dave Grohl and countless other legendary rock elders seem to regard Jack White as one of the most significant musical artists of our time. Bizarre, eh..?
It's true my opinion means nothing. It's also true Jack is a better guitarist and more befitting of a generational act. I just like the Black Keys more.

Jack White has been in the music scene longer, so he has received that level of recognition from such big names. I believe the Black Keys will receive just as much, if not more, praise once they've been musically exposed to the public for a longer period of time

I will always love the black keys no matter what. I got to enjoy their laid back style since 04 but now its a new decade, a new Black Keys. Popular culture is ready for them now, and when I'm and old man. I can brag to my children how I heard The Black Keys for the first time live and have seen them over 10 different times.
Once again showing that a solid groove goes a long way.
If I could punch any drummer from the past 20 years in the face as hard as I could, it would be patrick carney.
