Just discovered this song and El Camino. I listen to Brothers & Turn Blue all year round, every year. My favourite driving tunes. Solid records from start to finish.
Hearing this song brings me to tears nearly every time I hear it. It makes me think of so many memories that were happy; my ex, my younger days, my spunky girl pitbull who loved dancing and getting silly to the Black Keys. Thank you for the beautiful music, and great memories. ❤️
I’ve been getting a lot into the Black Keys recently, but I didn’t sit down and listen to this song until a few days ago. It really struck a chord with me when I did (no pun intended). These past few months have already been hard for me, but over this weekend my back pack was stolen with all of my school stuff in it, the worse thing that can happen to a student. Music has always been my escape when I face hard times of my life, and right now this is one of the songs that is comforting me and I’m now trying to learn to play it. This song obviously has a meaning and story behind it, and as long as people like the Black Keys keep making meaningful music, rock and roll will never die. I hope you all find meaning in your music to keep you going.
When I had a briefcase stolen filled with journals and notebooks of inestimable value to me, I started telling myself they were sketchbooks of ideas and I remembered enough to create my masterpiece. Stay tuned, good advice for musicians everywhere. Hang in there.
I saw them live three years ago with my brother and cousins. I had a blast, it was an amazing show, but underneath it all was this sadness in knowing that I’m probably watching the last of the great American rock bands of our time. The energy in that crowd was unreal when they played this song.
This is my favorite band in the world! Nothing can beat this band! I've seen them twice and am about to see them a third time! Thank you Keys! You're excellent!
To me that always seems to make the best songs; you can fit so much into one song, and you can really showcase the various talents of your band as you add everyone in one at a time.
Cause music feeds my soul... I really love this song ! Oh can it be The voices calling me They get lost And out of time I should've seen a glow But everybody knows That a broken heart is blind..

This is why BK fans piss me off. They're posers who walk around pretending they've always listened rock and/or blues but actually just listen to top 40 radio. Guaranteed they're on the Twenty One Pilots bandwagon because BK hasn't done shit since Turn Blue
I listened to this song because my best guy friend told me he could play the electric guitar part and I wanted to see it. I am now in love with this song and every time I listen to this song, I think of him.
People who say The Black keys are over-rated no nothing about the band. They've been around for years, and have 8 albums the last two are the ones that put them on the map. They were one of the most under-rated bands forever, and are finally getting recognition they deserve.
I can listen to this 100's of times and still enjoy it, and that's what makes it a quality song, plus unlike other artists they actually are just as amazing live as on record.
One of the very few bands that deserve some attention of the last 2 decades. In this case, I would say, a very good one. Great sound, original enough, great tone, simple, to the point. Together with The Black Crows, probably the greatest band in the past 25 years.
This literally brought a tear to my eye when they played it in Phoenix.. The moment everybody started singing along, was probably the most beautiful thing I've ever witnessed.
Does the guitarist's on-stage style remind anybody here at all of Jack White? His tone is similar, all dirty and such, and he plays with a rawness that I find in a lot of Jack White's work.
I know your comments extremely old, but both Dan Auerbach and Jack White were inspired by the same artists and are from the same type of underground scene basically, it just took the Black Keys a hell of a lot longer to get recognized. Makes sense that they sound similar.
