I met my two sisters and brother when I was 54. I was the only one given up for adoption, and had no idea I had siblings. Finding them has been wonderful!
The part about looking into his eyes and feeling comforted in remembrance of your dad hit my soul 😭😭😭 my brother is nearly a carbon copy of our dad and I cry every time I see him these days after losing our dad in '13 ❤️

I asked Alexander once if that was his dad in his intro to videos. He said yes, so if you watch the intro in his other videos - near the end he says “this is our life and this is our adventure” then you see his dad holding up some music albums. Nice to see you three are enjoying getting to know each other.
Alex also has some previous videos where he takes his dad out to picks with him before he passed so scroll right back. I think he uploaded some old news footage of his dad too which Steve got to see early on in finding H & A

I had a similar situation. I didn’t find out about my brother until our father passed away about 8 yrs ago & my brother was also 50 yrs old, about 20 yrs older than me. We met. We grew up in the same county. It’s always good to know who your siblings are. Glad you found each other.
My husband was adopted as a baby. He is the oldest son of three boys to the same mother. About 9 years ago, we had a chance to meet his bio mom and youngest brother, and then about 5-6 years ago, his middle brother moved nearby from out of state. I remember having to catch myself from staring at the two of them, sitting side by side for how much they looked alike, and how similar their mannerisms are. We're close to his bio mom. She's a sweet lady. It's been an amazing experience. His brothers both live out of state. He also had two sisters on his bio father's side, tho one passed away before we ever knew her. The other one, though, we do have contact with. The way we figure it, the more the merrier!
We all know and love Heather, it just makes sense that Steve is going to fit right in. What a nice guy he is, and he couldn't have asked for 2 nicer and welcoming siblings. Have fun you three.
I did notice his resemblance to your dad. I wondered if he might collect albums - that seemed to bring such joy to your father. I'm glad Steven is taking this so well and is accepting of his newer family members without turning his back on his family he's had all his life.
There really are not the right words to say how happy this makes me inside for you all. I am adopted and have longed for 46 years to know who I am and I finally found my mother, sister and grandfather on FB after all these years. I haven't reached out yet as it is a process as you well know, but knowing and seeing who I am is beyond anything I ever imagined. you guys mention how much you have in common and I can totally related to that as I have seen my mother on her page enjoy so many of the things I have loved all my life. Your video has encouraged me to realize that life is short and not promised to us and I need to make a plan to reach out now as it is time. Thank you for sharing this amazing journey it means so much to so many. I wish you, and your brother and sister a lifetime of love, and happiness.
I would encourage you to reach out. I just lost my dad and my maternal grandmother this year. These are uncertain times and life is fragile. Reach out, even if it does not work out you will at least know you tried. If you lose her without trying you will always wonder.

My brother just got confirmation that he is the father of a soon-to-be 42 yr old woman, who he found out about, just over a month ago. I can’t imagine what it must feel like to find out that the person you grew up with as your father wasn’t your father after all, and that you had a whole new family out in the world somewhere. But to then to get a brother like Alexander and a sister like Heather would be awesome. You all are so accepting of the situation and really hit the jackpot. What are the chances that you and Steve have similar interests, Alexander. Biological families are not always perfect, happy, families. It happens. I know a lady like that as well. I think it might be interests that skipped a generation. Like my friend, her dad was into airplanes and building, her grandmother was into fashion, and her great grandfather was into natural health care. She makes her living in natural health care as that is what she loves but it skipped two generations.

I gave a baby up for adoption in 1973 when I was 16. My niece was matched with him and now they are good friends. He has a good life and I have grandbabies! I asked Alexander once if that was his dad in his intro to videos. He said yes, so if you watch the intro in his other videos - near the end he says “this is our life and this is our adventure” then you see his dad holding up some music albums.

I had a similar situation. I didn’t find out about my brother until our father passed away about 8 yrs ago & my brother was also 50 yrs old, about 20 yrs older than me. We met. We grew up in the same county. It’s always good to know who your siblings are. Glad you found each other.
My husband was adopted as a baby. He is the oldest son of three boys to the same mother. About 9 years ago, we had a chance to meet his bio mom and youngest brother, and then about 5-6 years ago, his middle brother moved nearby from out of state.
I remember having to catch myself from staring at the two of them, sitting side by side for how much they looked alike, and how similar their mannerisms are.
We're close to his bio mom. She's a sweet lady. It's been an amazing experience. His brothers both live out of state.
He also had two sisters on his bio father's side, tho one passed away before we ever knew her. The other one, though, we do have contact with.
The way we figure it, the more the merrier!

I did notice his resemblance to your dad. I wondered if he might collect albums - that seemed to bring such joy to your father. I'm glad Steven is taking this so well and is accepting of his newer family members without turning his back on his family he's had all his life.

There really are not the right words to say how happy this makes me inside for you all. I am adopted and have longed for 46 years to know who I am and I finally found my mother, sister and grandfather on FB after all these years. I haven't reached out yet as it is a process as you well know, but knowing and seeing who I am is beyond anything I ever imagined. you guys mention how much you have in common and I can totally related to that as I have seen my mother on her page enjoy so many of the things I have loved all my life. Your video has encouraged me to realize that life is short and not promised to us and I need to make a plan to reach out now as it is time. Thank you for sharing this amazing journey it means so much to so many. I wish you, and your brother and sister a lifetime of love, and happiness.
I would encourage you to reach out. I just lost my dad and my maternal grandmother this year. These are uncertain times and life is fragile. Reach out, even if it does not work out you will at least know you tried. If you lose her without trying you will always wonder.
I pray God gives you the strength to continue this journey.

My sister and I found a brother we didn't know we had through DNA testing. It's been a joy! He also looks so much like our dad - it's eerie sometimes! I'm glad that things have worked out for you all, and that you have each other. All 3 of us consider ourselves very blessed.

My brother just got confirmation that he is the father of a soon-to-be 42 yr old woman, who he found out about, just over a month ago. Everyone is so happy and we can't wait to meet her and her family. She is also excited to have a half sister, 2 nieces, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. Our family is big, lol.

I can’t imagine what it must feel like to find out that the person you grew up with as your father wasn’t your father after all, and that you had a whole new family out in the world somewhere. But to then to get a brother like Alexander and a sister like Heather would be awesome. You all are so accepting of the situation and really hit the jackpot. What are the chances that you and Steve have similar interests, Alexander. Biological families are not always perfect, happy, families. It happens. I know a lady like that as well. I think it might be interests that skipped a generation. Like my friend, her dad was into airplanes and building, her grandmother was into fashion, and her great grandfather was into natural health care. She makes her living in natural health care as that is what she loves but it skipped two generations.

This so so amazingly heart warming. Steven is so lovely and Heather is her wonderful, warm and spicy self. Alex has such a has a way of making this a serious, reverent, but light subject. Life is life and we're all just humans. I just lost another brother and am mourning that loss, so this has been a lovely respite.
I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost 4 siblings and know the pain. I think of them often and in my mind that keeps them alive.

I gave a baby up for adoption in 1973 when I was 16. My niece was matched with him and now they are good friends. He has a good life and I have grandbabies!
