I'd like to know how this compares to the Civic Si as well as how the 6MT is compared to the CVT. Sometimes I wonder if Lori is shaking her head for some of the stuff Joe says lmao
@@RaitisRides Mr. Raiti, I don't care what these other shmucks say. Acura smashed it outta the park with this new 2023 Integra A-Spec trim. And the 6-speed manual especially for the Honda/Acura will be the last of the last 'Row your own gears' so to speak until it all finally phases out by 2030 for electrification. So when haters miss this chance its gone for good! Mark my words sir~ 👏👏. I cannot wait for the Type-S this fall.
I think for the $$, I would wait for the Type S on this bad boy, since Acura I'm sure has this plan in the works already. 70 boxes of twinkies in the trunk with the seats down is a good selling point though, Joe! Haha, good video as always! Can't wait for the Toyota Corolla 3 banger when that comes out on your channel!
I have a soft spot for VW and have always loved my GTI, but the GLI has languished for years now without significant changes keep it competitive. Even value brands have begun to rival it at lower prices. VW seems content to let it the Golf and Jetta languish into mediocrity as they shift focus toward making their entire North American lineup into EVs shaped like bars of halfway used soap. Meanwhile, Honda is intent on embracing the segment that VW is abandoning. This leaves the Jetta on shaky ground, and the Golf is already a memory unless you get one in GTI trim. VW should take a page from Honda and do something similar with the Jetta. Perhaps turn it into a liftback, like a small version of the Arteon, to more closely compete with the practicality factor and price range of the Integra and Mazda 3.
When you suggested that they should have included red stitching for the interior I was screaming "Yes yes yes why didn't they??" That was an absolute oversight especially considering the red seats.
Beautiful car, I'm kinda glad it's not a big hit with everybody, it should make the lease deal good when it comes time. I think some people think it doesn't have enough power, but who are they racing? I race the people at the stoplight to get the lane I want or get on the highway quick, and that car will do that every time.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but Mazda is going rwd. I feel it’s an important aspect of a premium car brand. Acura’s new lineup is amazing but the fwd overbite really tanks it.
@@ivanovpreslav7417 have you sat in a new Mazda? They’ve gone down the entry level premium market and arguably do it better than the Japanese luxury brands Lexus, Acura and Infiniti. Sit in one and see for yourself. MT compared the cx5 to the nx350 and as they said you take away the badging and you’d guess the Mazda was the luxury car.
I'm actually seriously considering these two cars. I've been driving GTI's for 25 years, so yes, I like VW and am probably biased. That said, I think the Integra is a much better looking car compared to the 2022 Jetta GLI, both inside and out. It's a classier car. But here's the problem: I've been driving stick all my life, and I want to continue with that. Here in Canada, it's about $12k more to get the 6MT Integra vs the 6MT GLI. Sure, there are some differences in the features: better sound system on The Integra, ventilated seats on the GLI. Slightly better handling in the Integra, slightly more hp in the GLI. I won't go on, but all in all, it kind of evens out to me. So, I don't know, man. I am just having problems justifying the extra $12k. I think because you have to go to the highest trim to get the manual in the Integra, the GLI comes down to being a better value. Going for a test drive in the Integra next week. Maybe I'll change my mind, lol.
@@jayczyzyk9707 I don't doubt that in a straight line acceleration! But I am curious to also see how the Integra compares in overall handling, in the response of the clutch and gearbox, and how smoothly and quietly it rides for long trips.
@@fantom5894 Well, maybe. But like I said in the post, I've been driving VW's for 25 years and in that time, I have yet to encounter "VW reliability". Besides, that $12k difference in price would cover more repairs than I'd ever hope to see in the lifetime of a GLI.
55 Gallon Drum of Mayonaise LOL. Might get two in there. Love all that room. Gorgeous car inside and out. I come for the car reviews but the humor is what makes the difference. Joe hopefully you are enjoying our Austin hospitality. Cheers
Was planning on waiting for the Integra but ended up buying a GLI - the fact that there's almost zero chance you can find one of these in the next year MSRP was the deciding factor. Just not gonna happen. Honda dealers here in So. Cal wouldn't even let me test drive one without agreeing to a 5K+ markup. F off.
Excited to get the new Integra A-Spec! You and your wife Lori always putting together great content. Like many other car reviews, you're driving the car to its limit with the "on-throttle" burnouts and redlines. I'm assuming the engine doesn't have 1000 miles on them yet. Are break-in periods no longer required for modern day car engines??
Fantastic review! Front and rear are sexy and sporty. The red interior does noting for me. Infotainment screen should be built into the dash…I agree with you Joe. Wish they upped the HP from the Civic Si
Someone help me. I keep hearing CVT are not good engines. If that is the case why do car companies keep using them. Thanks n as always the video n ur knowledge is hands down superb 👌
Cheaper to manufacture, they already had the transmission from the civic paired to a 1.5t engine as well so it was easier to just reuse it rather than R&D it. All saving costs
Anyone else remember when a manual transmission vehicle would be less than the automatic option? now it seems any manufacturer that still offers a manual transmission has it as a 'no cost' option. obviously thankful some are still offering manual transmissions, but just interesting to see the way things have changed. #savethemanuals anyway, thanks for another great video Joe & Lori!! Looking forward to more! especially when you finally get to go on throttle with the new GR Corolla! edit: wish the Integra had an sh-awd option. One of the main reasons I'm leaning on jumping ship to toyota for the GR corolla!
VW GLI would be my choice. That 1.5 turbo is a killer for me. The GLI is from 2019, but the platform it uses is from 10 years ago, yet it still out preforms this car and has an amazing engine. Looks wise I prefer the GLI because it's pretty much an AUDIo
Love the review. I have an Integra reserved, and I need to know if I fit?!?!? I am 6'4" and my boy is about the same height (15 years old), will he fit? When you sat in the back seat, did you have the front seat pushed forward, in the middle, or all the way back? Height is a HUGE factor in my family, both leg room and head space.
If you’re taller, hell I’m 6’02”, idk why you’d buy a compact car honestly. You’re not going to have much room behind you in a compact car with the seat pushed all the way back.
Have to be honest. I watched the review in support of Team Raiti but as a 3 time Integra and CL Type-S 6 speed owner, I'm not at all excited about this release. The color combo is very nice though, so there's that. Was really hoping Acura would make me fall in love again. Happy for those that like this one.
@@silverindigo8302 I feel like this is bait BUT simply put...something worthy of the name. Something that stood out in shape. Something stylish. Something sporty in appearance. Something unique. This car is a insult to everyone who ever owned a real integra... that's an ilx with corporate bs added in. Edit: you know the car is slow when he punches it and then only mentions how good the brakes are! Lol... not one mention of this ILX having any power at all.
@@chocolatewheelchair the GLI has been nothing but realizable. The GLI uses the EA888 engine that’s on its 4th revision. It started with a 6 year warranty then moved to 4. That 1.5 soulless engine in the si and integra have way more issues than any 2.0 ea888
@@chocolatewheelchair They chopped off 2 years once they realized the car does fine. Based on your logic even HONDA offers a 4 year on their car. It also does not change the stats of the accord.20 and Civic 1.5 having equal amounts of issues compared to any MQB EA888. I am very well versed in this so I would love to prove you wrong over and over
My biggest problem with the Integra is what Honda did with the Civic Si. Took away the amenities that the 10th gen Si already had, including adaptive dampers and then raised the cost of the 11th gen Si $2K. Then, added them all back into the top trim Integra A-Spec with Tech Pkg for $8K more. $8K more and you don't even get rear vents. Thought for sure that would have got a zonk. It's a nice car, but definitely not worth $8K more than an Si with the same powertrain. Thank you Joe and Lori for bringing it to us.
Thanks Wayne for letting us bring it to you! I guess because I understand the world that we live in today that manuals are now the option and not a standard thing I see why Acura did that.
Fantastic looking automobile. I really love the design of this car. Several weeks ago I purchased the Honda Civic sport touring. I was almost regretting that decision. But I cannot get my head around the CVT. Yes I have it in the Civic. But this car is 40.000. and I don't understand why someone would let their wife or daughters or wife and daughters set off in a car without a spare tire. Baffling. Throw the micro compressor away and call a tow truck that's what you're left with. And you could buy the spare and put it in yourself there's room for it. But you shouldn't have to at this price.
I was behind one of these last Friday during my commute. I didn't know any of these made it to dealers yet. the rear end looks better in person than the pics.
Honestly not a bad looking car. Cant wait to see what tuners do to this. Having the 3rd gen personally, this is not an Integra in my opinion. Great review as always guys! 🙂🤙💞
Unfortunately, I cancelled my pre order on this for a 22 K5 GT because for the same price, why not get 100 more HP. Will wait for the 21 TLX to drop in price and possibly trade in for that in a few years

I may ditch both for this if I can find it in that awesome blue color Acura makes, with a stickshift, and red leather interior
You can't get Apex blue with a Red interior it only comes in Orchid I know I only know because I ordered mine.
Thank you so much for reviewing this!! I am totally getting this as my first car, the cvt version though 💯
You will absolutely love it!
I like your tastes! I would get the CVT version myself
Love his videos! His personality is too cool! Goes to show you even in a crowded segment like car reviews, you can stand out! Keep it up!
Awesome review RR. I was so close to getting an all new Acura Integra till my wife saw the picture of one......
Thanks for letting me bring it to you! Wait until she sees it in person.
Show her the red one with the Oyster leather seats. Show her the heads up display. But if she wants an SUV there’s nothing you can do.
Best review channel on RUclips!! Great review. I’m definitely looking into that A spec with a manual!
I'm seriously considering this car. And I love that it has a NAME. Integra! (Or any name!) So sick and tired of these RDX, RX, NX, ILX, MDX, UDX, TLX etc etc nonsense names.
That is probably one of the most important things about it!
Wait for integra type r 👀

Excited for the type S, this one is a good entry level enthusiast manual for sure.
I agree with you!
What about the Kia K5 GT
@@chocolatewheelchair that is a midsize.
@@RaitisRides ahh it’s interesting because the Jetta is way over sized ‘ over priced for the class. It’s actually midsize while competing price wise with compacts at lower trims
@@chocolatewheelchair how is the jetta oversized, it competes with cars like the civic and corolla and has performance and weight numbers similar to those cars, you might be thinking of the passat
Joe how quiet is the new Integra on the inside of the vehicle while driving? I am a big fan of quiet cars and loving everything I see about this Integra! Thanks for bringing the goods to us week in and week out and being so enlightening AND entertaining.
It is actually very quite beside the noise pumped through the speakers.
@@RaitisRides Joe you da man! Thanks for the swift response. Do you recall if you can turn off the exhaust note that is pumped in through the speakers? (like the Silent Mode in the Mach E?) Thanks again brother!
I'm just happy Acura is still making this legendary sedan, 4 doors and all.
I want to get one!
@@2004cyrus You can make it happen Joshua!
This is so very true!
They should stop making them
Don't know why all the hate ❓ ove 60% preordered are Manuals. No one is discussing that. So Honda\Acura clearly know what they are doing. I've had 4 new Acuras (4 I Intergas, 1 TL) , so I appreciate this freshman offering. Of course one I drive it I will confirm or recant my opinion.
I used to think who needs a pano sunroof but then I got a rental that had one and everyyone that got in the car loved it and mentioned it so now a panoramic sunroof is mandatory for me personally.
I wish the integgy was a coupe but it’s fine, at least they brought it back!
I know how you feel.
The first few minutes of the video the background/buildings in the back has that futuristic vibe
Gorgeous car 😍. I was thinking in a Camry TRD next year but seen this review I definitely change my mind
😀😀I drove an integra in the early 90s. It was a great car and lots of fun to drive. It is good to see its return. I am definitely in the market for a car like this. I would think the competition would be the Genesis G7. Around the same price point. You had fun driving it so that tells me that it still is fun. Very nice tour. Excellent camera work. Special thanks to Laura. Salute. Really glad to see this car again.👍👍💥💥
Hopefully this keep the integra for a long time. Hope to buy one once I can afford it 😅
We will see how long it lasts this time for sure Ramon!
Joe, surprised you didn't zonk the fact there are no rear seat AC vents
Don't let the PR teams twist your arm on what you can and can't say
He already zonked it on the preview video he made about a month ago.
I'd like to know how this compares to the Civic Si as well as how the 6MT is compared to the CVT.
Sometimes I wonder if Lori is shaking her head for some of the stuff Joe says lmao
Lori shakes her head a lot at me. LOL Stay tuned for a comparison of the 6-speed & CVT hitting the channel tomorrow.
@@battosaijenkins946 has it been confirmed on the timing, or you're just hoping?
I agree on your point about the DCT from the ILX, dunno why they ditched it.
You have some of the best shifts i've heard in the integra
Perhaps turn it into a liftback, like a small version of the Arteon, to more closely compete with the practicality factor and price range of the Integra and Mazda 3.
looks super clean!
Acura/Honda = bullet proof…imho (I’ve owned 2 Acuras loved them)
Thanks for sharing that great info from your ownership.
Raitis rides has the best car reviews on RUclips hands down 👍🏻
I think that title goes to SavageGeese, but I do enjoy Joe and Lori's reviews.
Great videos Joe, love the hatchback but I would just save money and go with the si 🤷🏻♂️
That is where I would spend my money!
That’s what I did. Cdn Civic Si.
When you suggested that they should have included red stitching for the interior I was screaming "Yes yes yes why didn't they??" That was an absolute oversight especially considering the red seats.
i think that entire panel should of been red line the type S
Beautiful car, I'm kinda glad it's not a big hit with everybody, it should make the lease deal good when it comes time. I think some people think it doesn't have enough power, but who are they racing? I race the people at the stoplight to get the lane I want or get on the highway quick, and that car will do that every time.
Get your eyes checked
@@povertyspec9651 people like you are who I’m thankful for lol.
Nice review. Consistent with what I expected: An upscale Si. Perfect.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but Mazda is going rwd. I feel it’s an important aspect of a premium car brand. Acura’s new lineup is amazing but the fwd overbite really tanks it.
Since when is Mazda considered premium ? Also, rwd does not mean premium. Fwd is much better in snow thats why the majority of the cars are fwd.
I only buy RWD cars. FWD feels cheap, unnatural and uninspiring to me.
Actually Mazda is not going RWD with the Mazda 3.
You’re right. I should’ve clarified with I was referring to the 6. Totally different segment.
Love my new 2024 liquid carbon Acura Integra. Mine is a CVT transmission. Great design and such sexy lines. Again love my new Acura Integra!
Thanks for sharing that great input and perspective David!
Jetta gli will dust the 1.5
@@jayczyzyk9707 I don't doubt that in a straight line acceleration! But I am curious to also see how the Integra compares in overall handling, in the response of the clutch and gearbox, and how smoothly and quietly it rides for long trips.
Yes, but with the GLI you get VW reliability [sic] --you get Honda reliability with the Integra.
@@fantom5894 Well, maybe. But like I said in the post, I've been driving VW's for 25 years and in that time, I have yet to encounter "VW reliability". Besides, that $12k difference in price would cover more repairs than I'd ever hope to see in the lifetime of a GLI.
Great job, loving the review like also and the camera filming is perfect. Thanks again
10:02 No way this is doing 0-60 in 6 seconds. At 150 lbs heavier than the Si it’ll be 7 if we’re lucky.
Unless they secretly gave it some extra juice.
@@DragonKnightX12 it would need A LOT of extra juice, probably way more than an “underrated” situation.
ive seend dyno tests online it acthally is underrated by like 20 hp. Its really 200 at the wheels.

@@Unknown-vv1td I really appreciate your support!
Love your videos, so fun and informational at the same time.
F off.
You get WAAAAAAY more performance out of the GLI And it’s WAAAAAAY more unique than any integra and has. Waaaaaaaaay better after market support
Happy Acura Integra Party Joe

Thanks for letting me bring this one to you Mike!
Integra is much better then VW Jetta.
OFC it is, Acura is a luxury brand while at the same time reliable. VW is not reliable at all their cars break down before reaching 20k miles.
#savethemanuals
anyway, thanks for another great video Joe & Lori!! Looking forward to more! especially when you finally get to go on throttle with the new GR Corolla!
edit: wish the Integra had an sh-awd option. One of the main reasons I'm leaning on jumping ship to toyota for the GR corolla!
Those were the days.
Beautiful color. Thanks for this great review 🙏🏼
You are so very welcome Cristian!
VW GLI would be my choice. That 1.5 turbo is a killer for me. The GLI is from 2019, but the platform it uses is from 10 years ago, yet it still out preforms this car and has an amazing engine. Looks wise I prefer the GLI because it's pretty much an AUDIo
Let's freaking Go and On throttle action at Austin, Tx!!!
You guys will fit.
Go sit in a Civic… it’s the same car.
If you’re taller, hell I’m 6’02”, idk why you’d buy a compact car honestly. You’re not going to have much room behind you in a compact car with the seat pushed all the way back.
Go get another car asap. This one is a turd

Thanks for supporting us! That means the world! i can understand your frustration!
But did you have a base Integra? Or did you have a GSR or R?
My question is, “What were you expecting “
@@SIIKAP1 No, I did not.
@@silverindigo8302 I feel like this is bait BUT simply put...something worthy of the name. Something that stood out in shape. Something stylish. Something sporty in appearance. Something unique. Something that looked like a "GSR", "Type-S" or "Type-R" was going to be built up from the base model. Easier just to say, not what they've given us.
It’s not easy to get a smile out of Mighty Joe. This car is nice
This car is a insult to everyone who ever owned a real integra... that's an ilx with corporate bs added in.
Edit: you know the car is slow when he punches it and then only mentions how good the brakes are! Lol... not one mention of this ILX having any power at all.
Agreed. ILX with the same old 200hp is boring. Some reviewers just say "well it's not a quick car haha".
A pocket behind the driver seat is such a weird thing to exclude...
I prefer the GLI, much more power, much better aftermarket support. And it’s practically a baby Audi. I wouldn’t pay this much for a 1.5t
Waaaay worse manufacturer warranty support and dealer network. If I had the choice I would Lease the Acura anyway over the GLI
@@chocolatewheelchair the GLI has been nothing but realizable. The GLI uses the EA888 engine that’s on its 4th revision. It started with a 6 year warranty then moved to 4. That 1.5 soulless engine in the si and integra have way more issues than any 2.0 ea888
@@sharktin240 yeah, so do you know why’d they chop two years off the warranty?
Very good point!
@@chocolatewheelchair They chopped off 2 years once they realized the car does fine. Based on your logic even HONDA offers a 4 year on their car. Doesn't change the fact that this car has a way more reliable engine than the SI.
@@RaitisRides
Should have at least offered the 6spd manual on the base Integra A-Spec. A 6spd manual definitely isn't a Tech item. 😂
