    Got the newest 2024 manual. Solid review. It’s definitely not ‘blow the doors off their car’ fast. But, previously owning a ‘96 Integra as a teenager, this car brings me back to that feeling. Just plain fun to drive this car. Unfortunately this won’t bring back my high school girlfriend as well. Shout out, Ashley Higgins!

    I just got my A-Spec Integra w/ tech package, 5 days ago. Blue with orchid interior. I love it. Worth the price. Luxurious yet sporty. The 16 speakers are bangin!! Comfortable for everyone in the car. Smooth ride. Fun car. And I love the sunroof!

      I want the blue but really wish you could get the red interior with the blue exterior.. Are you having any trouble keeping the white seats clean?

    • @celindafuller8498
      @celindafuller8498 Год назад +3

      I was nervous about the orchid too. So far the interior has kept up. I had picked up a lost muddy dog that ran all threw the car(I didn’t know it’s paws were muddied). I almost dropped dead when I saw the mess on the orchid, but I let the mud dry. It was all over the front and back!!! Everywhere!! 🫣
      I vacuumed the dry mud and used a microfiber cloth with a little water and it wiped right off. No stains, no dirt, no spots left behind. It was very easy to clean. And the dirt we have here has a reddish(clay) tint to it too, I was sure it was going to leave stains. It didn’t. Phew 😮‍💨 Thankfully the material is easy to clean. You wouldn’t be able to tell there was a muddy scene. The only issue with the orchid is you can see hair, from your head left on the chairs. It stands out more than if it were a dark interior. I have long hair so I’m constantly picking the hair off the chairs because it’s so noticeable. I guess that’s normal even with darker color interiors. I do plan to buy seat covers just to protect the wear of the material.
      But I love this car. Everything about it. No issues to report yet. I tinted the windows and now I feel like I’m in a capsule. It’s freakin awesome!!
      Being a Integra fan, this is a must buy. You won’t be disappointed, unless you want to use it to race. I bought this car not to race but for it’s technology, the 16 surround sound speakers, and for its awesome sporty sleek design.

      Glad to know the Orchid isn't hard to keep clean. I thought I wanted the Liquid Carbon with Red, but I didn't like the color in person. Hard to judge the Blue online, but sure it'll look great in person. Is it as dark in person? I don't want light blue. I have seat covers for the back for my dog. Don't have to worry about my hair getting on the seats since I don't have much😂

    Great review! I just purchased a carbon metallic with 6 speed manual. Acura has done a superb job on this car. Love the looks, excellent practically with the hatch, Honda reliability and low cost of ownership, handles like on rails. I don’t really see other similar cars out there. BMW 2 series doesn’t have the hatch, and I wouldn’t want to buy a BMW. I do prefer a rwd car but the integra is so good for fwd. Great value for money I think. Like the Acura upscale look, gets away for boy racer of the Honda si. While 200 hp is not a lot of power, she moves very well and is a fast car. I would have reservations throwing more power into a fwd car anyway. This car is a 10/10. Forgot to mention how compliant the suspension is also. Firm but doesn’t beat you up. My daily driver, very happy.

    I'm impressed with this Acura in many ways. I'm amazed you can actually get one for under $40K for starters, even more amazed you can still get a manual transmission with this brand! I like the red interior, and the rear sedan hatchback. You can fit a large pizza from Cicis back there in the storage slot. What I would change is the exterior paint. Gray is OK, but for this car's sporting character, I'd go for bright red, maybe even orange/mango, or gold. With any of those colors, I'd go for a contrasting black roof, and combo body color/black hood, and black alloy wheels. I've really come to dig the blackout look, and think that would really make this sport sedan pop combined with a bright body color. And it would be a car Miss "True Colors" Cyndi Lauper could love. On the road, I could listen to Richard Blade's afternoon show on Sirius XM 1st Wave. Or maybe U2 XRadio.

Just as a reference, the TSX has 200 HP, but thisnl car is much, much more engaged in the driving experience that you'd think this has more like 250HP....it moves (And really, this 2023 does have more like 230HP, Acura just under reports ;) )! Went to a 10th gen Si after a MK7 GTI a couple of years ago, and the Si really holds it's own when you start tossing it through the twisties (or better yet, on track). If straight line is your thing, then maybe stop reading now, but those looking for driving dynamics with a manual + comfort and luxury (and physical buttons) you definitely need to put this one on your short list. Go and drive it. GTI shifter feels like hot buttered teflon--Honda shifter feels like mechanical precision. And plus the Integra looks super sharp. Doesn't deserve half the hate it gets.

I drove one again on Friday and though the car ride nice, it just felt kind of numb to me. And the clutch was still too light. Combined with nearly no sound from the engine it was really hard to figure out the clutch’s friction zone or bite point. I’m sure I could have gotten used to it, but I decided to buy something else. These are nice cars though, and I could see myself being interested in a Type S in a few years.

    • @Tigerex966
      @Tigerex966 Год назад +1

      @@sachemrock that's not the point.
      SUVs and sedans sell.
      But coupes are the look and hook and reputation of the best styling and usually performance a brand can do given some freedom and wiggle room and not needing to sell in huge numbers.
      If we only sold the best sellers we would only have SUVs on the road and very little styling exercises art and passion.
      The coupes good looking and performing ones that is, indirectly sell the sedans and SUVs and brand, bring excitement to the otherwise boring lookalike showroom cars and SUVs at the dealership..
      Even if they are a profit lose, with their low sale numbers, they are still invaluable in countless other ways for car makers, and the car buying public..
      Take away all the coupes from dealers, or car history in general, leaving only the top selling suvs cuvs and sedans... It would be so depressing and boring.
      Even though many if those are great and even outperform the coupes in many areas.

      @@Tigerex966 Times are changing. Times have changed. People have families now. You can't put 3 kids in the back seat of a coupe. You can't put a dog in the backseat of a coupe with a kid and the dog doesn't have enough room to stretch its body for laying down.
      I understand your complaint, but even the coupes now in certain brands won't even last long.
      The only ones that'll survive are the Mustangs, Challengers, Corvettes, MX-5 Miatas, the final gen M2, M4, M8, A5 coupe, S5 coupe, RS5 coupe, 911s Boxsters, and Caymans and the other luxury brands that the 6 figure moneymakers can only afford.
      Give it time. The Camaro is as good as dead after this final 2023 model year and doesn't look to return ever again. The GR86 and BRZ are in its final generation. The MK5 Supra will be its last ever. As the Z makes its way into customers hands, this will be the final generation of the Z. While it is said there will be a new GT-R, that will be way out of the average American's price range for its next generation and who's to say the next gen GT-R will be its last.
      You can only blame the Baby Boomers and Gen X'ers for buying crossovers and SUVs and some Gen Y'ers (not all of them). The U.S. market did this to themselves with the coupes. Why do you think coupes in other markets on the other side of the world sell better than in the U.S.? They not only buy them, but they actually fit inside of them too.
