Everything in this performance, expression wise, is fantastic.... the only bit I have a problem with is my favourite bit, which appears at the end of the second melody; every time the faster turn is played (like at 2.17), it's a little bit fluffy...! I mean, I don't want to be 'that guy'; the rest is absolutely beautiful, and that bit IS (to me) the hardest bit in the entire piece when played at the correct speed. I had just gotten excited that they were to be as great as the rest of the playing! Still a 9/10 thumbs up though, one of the best performances I've seen of it :)

Emily Guzun no. You can play A VERSION of this PIECE (it is NOT A SONG). Most probably an easier arrangement. I highly doubt after 3 months you have the skill to play this arrangement. I have been playing for almost 10 years and I can't even begin to compare myself to the skill level of this amazing pianist.
Emily Guzun I'm sure you can. ..any of us pianists can learn a weighty piece in a trice. .but it's the way you envelop those tricky passages with feeling. .caroline's performance just have that extra magic which is the thing

@@itsyomitv it took me 1 Week for memorize this piece, it can be learn very fast cuz it's pretty easy too memorize and it's pretty short, but to get it clean it's hard cuz the left Hand jumps a lot and the right need to be very clean :)

And I don’t tend to move forward until I get it near-polished-ie no mistakes but some hesitations allowed-and at least to a speed where the piece feels recognizable (though it takes me 20 seconds to do what she does in 9, haha). So this will take me MUCH longer than a week.
0:47 - 0:48, 1:05, 1:31 - (i can barely hear that si ♭, that si♮ and that la ♭, and it's not the registration fault) 1:44 - 1:45, 1:56 - 2:00 (no thumb and index alternation with pinkie and annular = tarantella / jazz thing), 2:18 (again).... 2:19 (the piece doesn' t end there... ah ok she did notice that, nevermind)

Strangely enough there's very few recordings of the solo transcription and this one is the only one on video.

Classical music is great I agree, but I have to point out that this song is from the Romantic period, not the Classical period.
My apologies. I admit I name everything played instrumentally until 20th Century classical music, by lack of cultural education in that sense.
