I'm that guy who builds ikea furniture all the way to the last screw only to realize that I built it upside down and have to COMPLETELY disassemble it and start over. I really want to get better at doing this (I think). - John
You're fucking amazing, it was so helpful it took me of course longer than the video but I did it by myself with no help!! This awesome!! Thank you, you gained a new subscriber 🙂🥳🥳
The term for the fast blinking is called "hyperflashing" and yes, that is indicative of typically a burned out bulb. In other cases, it could be a wiring or socket problem, but 95% of the time, it's a burned out bulb as you have stated here. I have the same car, a 2009 White Diamond Tricoat 3.9L G6. It's important to note that bulb quality varies greatly. The best ones are the Long Life ones from either Sylvania or Wagner. The original trade number in the manual is a 3157K (for Krypton), but the 3157LL is the same thing just on the aftermarket/retail level. In other words, you'd likely pay double for the bulb at the dealer when you can buy a two pack in Walmart for half the price or less. WM has better prices on these bulbs than the automotive retailers, so when I go there, I stock up on them. Also problematic on these cars is the headlight socket. GM undersized the plug and wiring and it burns out. The solution is to splice and heat shrink in an updated GM connector which can handle more amperage. I just did this on my car.
I appreciate this detailed response! Thank you so much for taking the time. This car just took a dump - the transmission went at 60k miles last month so we traded it in instead of getting a rebuild $2700 or replacement at $3500. I will grab a screenshot of this response and put it in my community feed to highlight how awesome this community is! Thank you again for caring!
I have that problem in mine in which the trunk does not open using the key fob and the only way I know of to open it is to use some method of disconnecting the battery? (I don't know, I haven't opened the trunk since I bought the car.) However, I CAN open it from the other way by operating the convertible control which makes the trunk open from the other way.....if I use that method if I interrupt the converting process right after the lid of the trunk opens but the top is still in the "up" position, will I be able to reach these bolts so I can replace my brake light?

I have the exact same car with the exact same problem. Thanks for the video. It looks super easy. No way am I going to give my dealer $100 to do this.
IKR!!! Yup it was easy. Remember how much torque you used to loosen the screws and try to apply the same torque tightening them.
Thanks for the comment!
