Thanks for the info, as usual. I wonder when the handle is installed, is there a way to keep a lot of the snow or water out of those holes in the door handle holes? I saw a plastic piece that was once used, are those still functional or available? Thank you!

Hello, I had to replace the door handles on my 87 Camaro Z28, the aftermarket handles that were sent to me have smaller studs than the factory ones, not much but enough to cause a bit of an issue with the factory speed nuts, so the original speed nuts barely work, what are the size of factory speed nuts and what size would be a better fit?
@1aauto Yes that's just what it was.A rod was hanging up on something when the outside door handle was used.No troubles if opened from the inside.A couple of guys from the third gen forum steered me in the right direction.Next is the installation of the outer window sweep. Wish me luck!

I enjoy these vids as I have a '92 RS that I'm working on.I have just replaced the outside door handle.I followed your instructions to the letter, and now the door won't open from the outside.The handle moves very little if at all. And YES the door is unlocked and opens from the inside.I am also replacing the outside window sweep on the same side (passengers) so the door panel will be off for a while.Help!
Had to search a bit to find this but thankful I did. I was wondering why the new handle didnt have any grooves in it.

Do you guys have a video showing how to replace the door latch itself? I just replaced the handle but realized the latch isn't hooked up to the proper rods anymore and I cant quite figure out how it's suppose to go.
We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to make this particular repair.
@deliveryguyrx It almost sounds like something could be binding inside of the door. You may want to double check the rods to see if they are hitting anything or connected correctly.

What are those bolts called I tried finding some at AutoZone cannot find proper fitment mine keep popping off
Doorman 4385 speed nuts . Should be around 5 dollars a pack . It’s assorted with 2 of each size
