Thank you so much for this video. There aren't many Movado reviews here on RUclips. I am a watch enthusiast with a personal collection that includes Omega, Grand Seiko, Tudor, Rolex, AND Movado. I actually work for Movado and I recognize their current place in the hierarchy of Swiss time pieces but I don't understand the hate. They have a rich history dating back to 1881 and have even partnered with Zenith and other luxury brands in the past. I realize that today's Movado is not the same as it was 20-30 years ago and I would never pay retail price for one, but they are still great looking watches and can be had for under $200-$500 at their outlet stores. That's a steal considering some other Swiss brands charge close to $2k for quartz watches. I am also very excited about the direction the brand is going with some of their new pieces and more automatic movement options. I hope to see more Movado reviews here in the future.
I love them. Where can I find an outlet store? I had no idea you could get them for less than retail until I came across this video. I felt like an idiot when he said nobody is paying full price. 😂
I have ordered this watch in the rose gold watch. I already own a Movado watch which gets lots of compliments. They are excellent watches for the price. I believe they look more expensive then what you pay for them
Oh no Random Rob, you have got to be kidding. That is one awful watch from an even more awful brand. That is overpriced rubbish right there. It's a brand that's been going downhill for years. The fact that they acquired the absolutely trashiest fashion brand on the planet, MVMT, should tell you what direction this company is heading in. I'd even put Filipo Loreti, better known as Scameti Spaghetti ( or is it Spaghetti Scameti?) a step above them . Lol.
These Movado Museum pieces do nothing for me. However Vintage Movado watches are quite amazing, but now days they don't make anything really but these type of fashion watches. Just not for me.
I think it’s a nice basic Swiss watch that is well known and world well known design. Issue is the have been using the same design with no changes, they never did the right updates to it, and went cheap on the materials.
Movado has always been an overpriced, overhyped minimalist, and boring fashion watch company catering to the ever so obnoxious Bauhaus Max Bill minimalist-styled rich and insecure supposed upper class. I remember being bombarded with those dopey commercials in the late '80s? Although Movado was founded in the 1800s much like Invicta, it has an important horological history but in the later years took a Giant Dump on its history of fine watchmaking and vomited out this line of watches that we see today. ( In my opinion of course ).
This is without doubt the worst brand coming out of Switzerland. Overpriced rubbish that's barely a half step over the MVMT trash. I believe they're part of the same group. It doesn't matter if it's a 2 dollar Swiss quartz movement or a 2 dollar Chinese quartz movement. I think they might only sell a lot of these in the US. I've never seen one in Europe which is a blessing.
Movado is nothing special anymore. They went cheap a long time ago. Pull that case back off and you’ll probably find a cheap 10 cent plastic retainer ring holding that movement in place. However, Movado is the brand I suggest to people who think Daniel Wellington is a quality piece.

My old eyes could not deal with that one
Looks better than a Richard Mille

Gorgeous
Movado is doing Hublot homages now?
Wow, this comment section is angry
Yes, a little UPtight!
Miserable old men who dress like Amish people
I actually like it
Love this watch own it but band ripped and can't find replacement for months
I bought one of these Museum watches when I was a kid and knew nothing about watches. still have it in a drawer somewhere
the brand has been like a snowball headed for hell for the last 10 years .....
You got that right. Trash..
Why is that? Genuinely want to know since I’m interested in getting one.
Can’t afford one huh?
I love the rubber Integrated bracelet look! I just haven’t found a smaller (sub
Proffered when they were smaller, they’re a great dress watch.
The design looks like something I'd see on a ladies wrist, during a 1970's cigarette commercial.
I'm not big on gold watches but this one has just the right amount. Gorgeous
There is a gold watch for every man
not bad for a modern Movado. At least it has the indices so you can accurately tell time LOL

Mova-No
Lol
I like the aesthetics with the gorgeous dial (i collect 1970's watches) but it overall looks too 'smart watchy' - possibly due to the size.
American National living in Guatemala :
Here, Movado is really popular so the mark up is really high.
Movado has always seemed like a fashion watch brand to me. Can’t see myself ever buying one.
Old Movado fantastic, new Movado all marketing no substance.
A rubber strap on a gold tone dress watch ? holy jersey shore batman !

I'd like to see some more left field watches from Movado and other brands.
Does anyone know if you can swap the bands for either the leather or metal ones?

Not familiar with Movado. Is this a respectable brand? Or is it considered like an overpriced hyped brand like those fashion brands?
"No one is paying retail on these". Way to undercut the Richard's margins

I couldn't have said it better myself !
@@brianmsahin Cheers! My Brethren.
Don't hold back!
People actually buy those?! 😱 Fortunately we don't have that brand this side of the Atlantic.!!
Hideous, but good review.
Cheers Mate 👍🏻
You just confirmed what I was thinking. The brand is pure rubbish.
@@brianmsahin 🤣
Yeah, reading through all the other comments on here they don't seem to be popular 😂
Thanks for your reply, 👍🏻
@@stevefox8605they aren’t popular to old white men in Colorado
@@firstsonofthesea7938 nor here in England either
Movado is not for me
Not my cup of noodles

Movado bought MVMT. They knew they had good marketing and wanted that sweet profit.
I love your vids, Rob, but Movado is damaged-goods. They're a shell of what they used to be, and now seem too interested in producing fashion watches
Nah

Eww. Really unattractive time piece imo
Vomit. Oh wait hold on, and more vomit.
