Me too! There were tragic moments in my orthodox walk when I lost my faith because of misunderstandings and false notions. His teaching clarified many things for me, restoring my belief and getting me back to the Holy Orthodox Church where I belong.

very interesting perspective. i'm 12 mins in, and i broadly agree with what's being said.
    couple points of contention:
1.) the spiritual and the material need not be so dialectically opposed. even in your own tradition, spirit begets matter. why should these things be artificially seperated X amount of years later? jesus clearly viewed the body as something spiritual.. otherwise he would have come back as a ghost of some sort.
2.) the key word in campbell is "watered down." jung himself is also watered down... he's a watered down alchemist. the term "watered down" or "diluted" is an alchemical term, pointing in a direction. the opposite direction of "watering down" is "boiling down" or "distilling." if you distill from campbell, through jung, and you find something that gets MORE truth, then you have a kind of spiritual physics. i've always found that when you dig into the archetypes, you get MORE information, not less. it's much like digging into the bible. it's hyperlinked.
as an aside, if you want to reconcile hinduism and christianity, the key is in alchemy.
3.) your conflation of the labors of hercules and the gospel narrative is a common one, but not one that serious archetypal thinkers think much about. while it's true that they share the broad narrative arc of the "culture hero," hercules represents ideals of a more... herculean time. the notion of forgiveness and cooperation as conquering virtues is a complex topic. it's one we still struggle with balancing. let's not blame the greeks for valuing strength. if present trends continue, we may be going back to that soon.
i'm a fan of your work so far :) brilliant stuff.

Thinking Jesus came back as a ghost is like one the first heresies. The dogma is he has a material body after the resurrection.

Gnosticism is more "as things are experienced" instead of "as they were tested" Jung was highly intelligent and necessary. Most good faithful orthodox wouldn't usually be able to study his works in a way to be understood and walking between orthodoxy and deep jungian circles could risk mental health in some as they are polar opposites. Gnosticism is simply closer to what they were converted from than christian thought.

37:25 "they worshipped angels INSTEAD of God." Hmmmm, even WORSE to worship saints instead of God, as they aren't even angels.

Saints are not worshipped, that's common knowledge you don't seem to grasp

They’re actually higher than the angels, but they’re still not worshipped. So you get it even less than the other guy points out

@@Ortho_Clips I understand fine. You're assuming a lot for one sentence. I didn't expand on anything, I simply stated saints are not worshipped. Sorry, not your gotcha moment today.
