Arrogant people suffer because after they become deluded with the belief that they’re omnisapiente they stop learning. There’s also the problem that they lose the ability to properly answer questions. They don’t actually comprehend what they’re being asked. They view every question as an invitation to dump out any and every trite piece of knowledge that they hold, even if it doesn’t pertain to the conversation. Just thought I’d throw that out there. Also, I very much enjoyed listening to the interviewer ask some very thought provoking questions. I just subscribed. Thanks.
This is great to see. Nathan has always kind of floated around the Corner of the Internet (TLC) in his talks with and coverage by Paul VanderKlay but it’s great to see him engaging with Orthodox folks as well. I would love to see these have a conversation about natural rights et al. Let’s see what the next 2 hours has in store!
a Why Files fan! it is a fun program, and the host is a genial fellow who does seem honest. i like him. but it often goes live during the Lord of Spirits live podcast, so Fr Stephen would wind up missing it. it's almost a pity.
This was fantastic! Would you consider having Alex O'Connor on? I've seen him talk with Pageau and they did not vibe well together but with your background in philosophy I feel like the dialogue would be more fruitful.
Heads up, the Mt. Ebal curse tablet was overhyped. The team promoting it was doing so before it was peer reviewed. There are many problems with it. I suggest looking into it. Big fan of your podcast.
Just found this in my recommendation because I listen to so much Fr Stephen. Interesting to hear that you were in Richmond. thats where i work lol. Are you still in Kentucky?
Scientistic is the better word. And just so you know, watching the host monologue while the guest has to sit there and just eventually say 'sure' is pretty boring.
Loyal follower here. Need more level-headed Orthodox voices online.
Nathan Jacob’s is a beast hands down one of the best voices on the internet
Thank you Father Stephen for doing this podcast and thank you Nathan for hosting him. Should be a great talk.
Two of my favorite people in one video! Excellent!!

Excellent interview! Another person that I’d love to see interviewed on this channel is Dcn. Nicholas Kotar.
Any sufficiently primitive magic is indistinguishable from technology.

Should I be concerned with weather or not the leader of other another country does or does not have extramarital sex? It seems like voyeurism.
