  • Yo! Today is an ODD one to say the least, we're going to continue testing out our M1 Businesses, and honestly I was NOT expecting the results I got. I think overall some things could be changed and I can also pay more attention to some numbers (shout out in comments if you see what I'm talking about), but I think many of you will be surprised at the results and might need to rethink some strategies in the future!
As always like and subscribe to help the channel out!
    Thanks again everyone!

Just got time to catch up on this. I'm flattered I got a mention.
It's looking like you're doing some amazing work and learning some great lessons here! You're pioneering new ground and looking forward to the rest of the series!

Great video and revealing. My experience confirms the supermarket result. You get lower profits than the AI is showing. But most shocking is the florist result. You overdo security and still get these high profits. I never do florist in M1 because the shop looks so empty but economically it makes sense

I think the balance is alot better now. Clothing is good, Supermarket is good, Electronics is good, Gift Shop is good,, flowers are.good. I like rhe balance.

My 1000sqm supermarket open 16 hours I make around 200k daily. It's not about the highest price it's about minutes maxing. Even when it says 100% some customers still won't pay it

It was quite interesting to see the florist business profits honestly shocking to see. I wonder how low these profits get when in low demand however

Looks like 4 to 5 business of a similar type is OK per region as well.

    my thoughts about supermarkets:
    1) main working hours: hitting 75 during during 15 hours => no need for marketing, hence why adding marketing just loosing money vs increasing it?
    BUT
    2) additional hours: you removed other hours - they were not 0 tho, they were 24 - check plz 24:21 => so money lost there vs gained => you shouldn't have close the shop, but likely just keep only 1 checkout which handles up to 30 customers?
    3) additional hours: after adding marketing for those, you started getting not 24, but 45 during these hours - check plz 29:03 => so here would make sense to have 2 checkouts working and keep store open?
    =====
4`) this is one a bit of guessing: just under red doesn't seem to be perfect... it seems like some customers would tell that they are not paying that much for the product... maybe try to stick in the shop during work hours and see if you see customers complain about the prices? 🤔
not an expect by any means, so feel free to correct me :D

Haha you're right, I actually noticed my errors when I was editing! Woops! I like the ideas you have though, in this case I think I'd keep everything as is for the purposes of testing as equally as possible to the other businesses. But if I wasn't testing I would totally implement your ideas, they're pretty good :)

Supermarkets and fastfood are way better than they were before but I still think they're not good options specially at the start.
For one they require a HUGE investment to get started, for example supermarket frozen food and ice cream go into a freezer that costs 17500 for 30 customer and fresh food 10500 for 15 customers all that for items that will sell around 10-15 dollars.
Compare this with say a jewelry showcase 8900 for 15 customers and the jewelry sells for thousands or more.
Add to this the fact that you'll sell thousands of food fresh and frozen per day and they come in boxes of 50. You'll need a huge amount of shelves in your store, maybe more than you have room for if you want to keep enough stock for a couple of days. Add to this the warehouse room and the price of the pallets.
Even bakery items are better in that regard because they come in boxes of 300.
Ideally to start you would want to go with a gift or a flower shop. Both are low budget to setup cheap gifts can even go on product panels that cost 500 for 10 so in a 30 customers shop you can buy 3 of those and still be lower than the 2400 that you would pay for 2 rounded shelves. The gifts are much more practical though because they come in boxes of 200 vs 25 and 40 for expensive and cheap flowers to that less shelves needed and less issues keeping the store stocked.
I haven't tested other stores since the last couple of updates including the rebalance so I can't comment on clothes but they would still be more expensive to setup than gifts or flowers. I don't know how they compare to the food stuff.

I think the supermarket is a higher entry point vs. clothing but clothing products are definitely more expensive. They sell a lot better and for much more though so it balances out pretty well.
I would agree Gift/Flower shops are the way to go to start because of their cost entry being so low

      @@Delod It makes sense.
Though to be fair clothing products you can get away with only selling cheap clothing at first to limit costs, they're the ones that sell the most in the poorest neighborhoods anyway and that's where you start. Bring the rest of the clothing types step by step with the profits you make.
With a supermarket I don't know if you could manage to make a decent profit if you just sold one of the food types as not to have to buy all the equipment at once.

My mind is blown that a floral shop,Is making more income than a supermarket?

If you are hitting 75 customers per hour before ads, what is marketing going to do to increase sells? I only spend on karketing if customers are lower than max. Thst keans i never buy adsmfor supermarkets or fast food.

For more subs try another title eg big ambitations, the AI is wrong or something…. Think these can get a bit better.
