I was there and almost caught Freddie's walk-off ball! It went between me and my wife who was sitting to my right. I tried to backhand it with my glove but it was just out of reach. It bounced off someone and in the scramble a young kid sitting behind us came up with it. The kid became an instant celebrity with everyone around us wanting to take pictures with him.

And by the way, we were also able to experience one of the greatest baseball games together with spectacular ending. This did top my first game I saw as a Dodger Fan in August of 1959 at the Los Angeles Coliseum when Sandy Koufax struck out 18 batters beating the SF Giants 5-2.

Regular season games are different from postseason games and played differently . Nothing new about that , that’s why some players excelle in playoffs compared to regular games during the season . This is only his first game experience in the world series.
