I was there and just missed catching the ball. It went between me and my wife who was sitting to my right. I tried to backhand it with my glove (which I had taken hoping to catch an Ohtani home run ball) but it was just out of reach. Dang! should have sat on the other side of my wife. It bounced off someone and in the scramble a young kid named Zachary sitting in the row behind us came up with it. Everyone was screaming, except the two Yankee fans sitting next to us. The kid became an instant celebrity with everyone around us wanting to take pictures with him and the ball. I told him I was very happy for him and congratulated his mom and dad. But the best part was that I was able to spend an incredible evening with my family and some close friends. Oh, and by the way, I was also able to experience a lifetime memory of one of the greatest baseball games together with my family with a spectacular ending.
Wow what a memory for Zachary to catch maybe the most iconic home run in MLB history. Or at least the greatest one in the last 35 years. I can't imagine how unreal it must have been to be there and watch that home run come right at you.
Have seen both and their just as fantastic as advertised i couldnt be any happier what a proud moment freddie and both u and gibby have given life long memories to dodger fans and at bats for all fans for ever😊
I can't imagine being in Dodger Stadium for that. Man I miss being in LA. I can't imagine what the city was like for the entire series after an opening like that.
Yankee fans leaving depressed. 😥
At least the one guy has an outfit for Halloween
