For anyone reading: this is entirely user error. they plugged a 5v strip into a 12v header. Takes a special kind of special to do that, but then to upload it and say it’s a manufacturer’s fault is even worse🤦♂️
The case doesn’t make stuff burn up. If you connect incorrect voltages to your equipment then this happens and the most common cause of that is people mixing modular cables from different PSUs
hi i have a 12V fan and its molex is it safe to plug it into the Psu? i searched everywhere for the connector on my motherboard but later found out it was on the PSU. I hope u see this comment and thanks.

Daisy chains an argb led strip and a fan to a 12v header, blame the company. Do them a favor and report this, so they can ad it into the user manual under the "For Dummies" section
You just plugged it into the wrong port. That's what happens if the voltage is mismatched. Fun fact happens to almost any type of electronic equipment.
Thats a 5v led strip my guy. They are smoking because you are running them at a voltage that they weren't supposed to and your melting the plastic/rubber shroud thats only good enough for the voltage it was designed to. 🎉

Lifehack: plugging a 5V LED strip on a 12V power suppy allows you to check airflow while the LED strip lasts.
It looks like you’re running too much current into it, I suggest you buy one of those step-down converters to convert 12V into 5V.
