- Reasons Why Your Computer Won't Power On
I will show you troubleshooting - Why Won't My Computer Turn On? in 60 seconds. Its super easy and this should help you understand why your pc is dead.
What to Do When Your Computer Won't Turn On
1. Power supply is dead or Incorrect power supply or Power cord is bad or not connected properly or PSU switch is NOT turned on.
2. Loosely connected hardware, make sure hardware is properly seating ie: RAM, CPU, GPU, HDD, SSD
3. CPU Power Cable, 24 Pin, Power Switch, Power is not plugged in or Power Button is broken or not plugged into motherboard.
4. Don't use an Extension Lead or try another Wall Socket
5. Try bypassing pc case power button by jumping the Power Switch on the Front Panel Connector.
Tried all above?
6. Possible Bad motherboard
7. Possible Bad CPU

If you have a modular power supply, check the connections on that too. Happened to me after cleaning once.
As mentioned, bad power supply, only had sixty seconds.

Thank you for this video… I tried a million things even replacing the power cord, but then I saw this video and found out that my 24 pin power cable was loose. I fixed it and now my pc is running like new. Thank you so much

Moment of terror, built new computer, would not start. Turned on the power switch on the PSU and...and started up...next day watched a video that the guy did the same.

My pc is 14 years old and now is completely rebuilt. However it has not seen the amount of dust this one has. Crazy.
Also accumulated dust and moisture will be conductive and will short many stuff
I recently blew the dust out of mine. Nd hanged thermal paste and i turned it in at the wall and a loud surge bang nd tripped the breaker. Wont turn in now any suggestions
It all makes sense, when I was building my Pc, i directly connected it to the wall socket. When I was finally done, I went to fix it on a side of the room with an extension lead. Thanks! But I wonder what the solution could be since I can’t move my setup next to a wall socket.

my mobo was just fried beyond recognition
Just to add something that I have seen more than once.
Make sure there are no shorts most common in USB ports that are broken.

Actually a goat i was stressing for like 10min then saw this literally no one has ever said that first one and i didnt know that thank god was about to go buy noew power supply
My extension was working Properly ,but not for pc,so i plugged it in Outlet and its working ,thanks
Appreciate the help. I went for a jog then came back to a PC that wouldn’t turn on. Tried a lot of stuff, none successful. Ordered a new PSU. Hopefully that works or else my mobo is fried or something
EDIT: Replaced my PSU and everything worked fine. I guess it must've died on me while I was away

Finnaly make sure your HDMI or display cable is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard

My build pc having issues booting up. And whenever it does boot. It freezes sometimes. And when i turn it off pc won't totally shut off fans still spinning but my monitor is already off. Anyone having same issue with newly build pc?

My issue was the power button I referred back to the manual for my mother board found where pins are for power button and used a screwdriver to hot start it. Works just fine for a new button on the way. Now I’m referring to the power button on top not the power supply button.
The power button jump fixed my problem. Tyvm!!
I just clean my pc and turn on but it didn't, and watch your shorts. I reverse the power cable that's the reason and thanks for the shorts
What do you mean reversed the cable? Sorry, I have just been trying everything and finally gave up and ordered a new MB.
my computer won't turn on, realised it was because the plug was halfway out of the socket bc of my feet messing with it. SMH

Useful tips, i think the long lived ColorsIT power supply inside my old AMD Sempron Box has finally kicked the bucket.....sad to see but hopefully it hasn't taken the rest of the PC out with it.

Mine turn on then turns straight off, it was working perfectly fine a minute ago and now it's short circuiting, I hate building pcs and I don't know whats going on with it

@@grave2816 ah so it was a wire, the wire hit the fan blade since the fans where at the top and caused a short circuit, I moved the wire and now the pc works. That was for my brother when I upgraded my pc I avoided that mistake lol.
I js bought a new pc and it fucked in 1 Day my pc works but when i turn it on the monitor shows no singal
I had the same problem that the pc wouldnt boot but it would turn on. In the end it was the bios that died somehow so i used the "FLASH BIOS" feature and updated the bios with a usb stick. And after that my pc came back to life.
I would like to add to check if the fuse has blown, not mentioned in the video.
That would be bad cable :)

Good tips, my current issue is I have to kill power to my pc for 5ish minutes before it will turn on, it started yesterday, not 100% sure why, PSU or MOBO I'd guess. 🤷♂️

My CPU power was just turning on and off.I opened the side panel and tightened the cables then gave a whiff so that the dust gets away.and it started working again❤

Couple years ago i had an issiue with my pc not turning on. Sometimes it started after one press sometimes 20th. After couple of days trying found out that the psu cable to the wall was faulty. Didnt expect that at all.

I had this after doing various checking of thing and checking cables plugged in etc. I Reset cmos bios with the jumper and it powered up perfectly if it happens again I might have to change cmos battery.

Today, I replaced my chap power supply with a new Corsair RM850x (shift series). When I tried to turn it on, it powered for a second (the fans started spinning, and the light turned on), but right after that, it stopped and turned off. I checked if all of the cables were plugged in correctly, and I think they are. I haven't changed anything else. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem?
And also check for dirt buildup and vacuum it

I have an issue on my pc. Whenever my cpu power cables are connected, my pc refuses to start up, not wven a fan moves, but when i disconnect it, the pc starts

I have a question, everytime we went to see a computer parts specialist to check on our cpu, the cpu turned on but when we came back from home the cpu wont turn on we tried it in different power sources but it wont turn on at our house but in other place the cpu turned on
So in my situation, mine will not turn on at all, but it shows my LEDs on my motherboard. Does that also mean a bad piece issue but enough to to give power to the LEDs?
Just got my pc back after 2 months played couple games of OW2 with friends now my pc don’t turn on😭 I’m thinking tho it’s the cable I’m using a 125v cable to power a 250v so hopefully that’s the problem
when I build my first pc, I got rgb ram sticky without the freaking ram, just the rgb sticky to make it look nice... and yes I returned my mobo and everything only to find out later that i just needed to buy me some actual RAM.

I did all of it, removed 24 pin and connected 12v and ground, and the psu turned on. Onnected everything back to mobo, but i have literally zero energy, the fans dont even try to move 1 inch. Tried another psu, it does turn on, but on mobo the samething as the other. That should be a bad mobo, right?

Same it was my motherboard. After cleaning it for the first time I have no idea what happened I guess it got shorted. All I did was blow it with a wireless duster. Smh had to order a new mother board.

I shorted my psu and it turned on along with my cpu and gpu plus my led lights n fans. But when i try to short my power switch pins , nothing happens. Can my motherboard be the culprit if my psu and everything else is working when shorted ?
I have this issue, computer will boot then suddenly shuts off. Checked everything you have mentioned, this goes everytime, power button not working sometimes then I bypass it in the motherboard. But sometimes it is not turning on from there as well, is this a case of PSU + MOBO is already done? PC not even 1 year old
But most of the time it does that, after waiting for about 15 minutes then PC will run and I can use it for more than 5 hours with no issues

Bro my pc has not be working for the past 2 months and after hours and hours of troubleshooting, nothing worked, at some point i was just watching every video to see if i could find a solution, nothing worked again, finally i just thought id start watching shorts for a solution since their shorter, the first video i find talking about checking your graphics card, and i remember cleaning that last before my pc went bad, i checked, mfer was upside down, my pc finally works and i can confidently say that im a dumbass
Last but not least, replace the old CMOS battery.
when i boot my pc they light up in sequence. it starts with the white led(4 seconds), goes to yellow(4seconds), but then once it turns red only lights up for 1-2 seconds then goes back to white and the sequence loops. They don’t blink rapidly they light up once each. I have power, gpu,AIO and fans all turn on. I reseated my plugs, ram, gpu, flashed bios, still nothing. help!!! do i need to clear the cmos and redo bios flash? brand new build trying to get it to post

Okay so here is the thing
My pc wasn't powering up properly . After switching it on , it took like 30 mins to 1 Hr before powering up. The technician told me to contact him if the system fully shuts down becoz he couldn't find what's wrong . Yesterday the pc shuts down completely and bro tells me it was a psu issue . He switches the psu and it was working. I asked him to check my older psu on a different setup but he told me it wasn't required . Today I have the same issue and my pc isn't powering up. It powered up after an hour.
