Im doing something similar my dad has a old hp pavilion right now we are getting ddr4 3200 mhz ram and putting a crucial p3 500gb in it then later this year we are gonna get a new case re use the graphics card get ddr5 ram a b650 mobo a rm750e psu and a 7600x with obviously a cpu cooler oh and btw the case is a h5 flow by nzxt thanks a lots you have inspired me to do this

Win7 and XP are the best Windows. I still run them in a dual boot config (in 2 PCs) at home for gaming. Though my nearly identical AM2+ Geforce 6100/nForce430 motherboards are just pitiful lol. At least one has a Phenom II X4 955 (95W), which is the max the socket will take. Actually runs an impressive amount of games with a super cheap R7 250 2GB GDDR3 (OEM) gpu. Most demanding games it plays are Mass Effect 2, Deus EX HR, Dead Space, and a heaping ton of indie games. Including Hollow Knight, which runs at 1080p with blur quality set to 2. Settings can be maxed out in Ubuntu.

Ngl workspace pcs usually have way over spec PSUs. But yea does not hurt dubble checking. And even if you're not swaping cooler, applying new paste since it will have been sitting for a while is a good idea.

The reason they’re cheaper is bc they aren’t truly new, they’re refurbished but branded as new. Which is a shady business practice, but it doesn’t matter to me bc they look cool and perform nicely. They’re priced anywhere from 40-60 buckaroo’s. Just something I would consider on a budget. They also have a ton of other different gpu’s. Just be careful bc it’s still aliexpress

1660 ti would have been way better for 1080p. Yes I know the 1650 is a very good budget GPU but struggles with alot of games. Plus the older the pc that harder the compatibility with newer parts
I would add in a new psu seeing as it has a standard looking atx one, and put something a little more powerful. It might need some adapters but i feel like it could be a sick build idea!
I got a office pc for $22 with core 2 duo, 4gb ddr2 ram and no gpu, i kept the cpu because the latest game i play is gta v, and i play about all the games from 2005 era ive made more memories with these games than anything, so i reapplied the paste on cpu, turned the ram into 6 gb ggr 4(its more than what i need) and added a 710 gpu(i know its not good but that is what i need) and finally i took out the side panel of the case, cut a square from, cleaned up the sides, put a clear plastic sheet , tied up all the cables in the pc and using led strips and lights(the little bulbs) i added them to the fans and around the mobo, all for around 107$! 💀

Also ordered a 256 sata ssd for 20 and an wifi card for 27, and to finish off, some adaptars for 6 pin pcie to 16 for 5 and in a couple days itll be running for my homie!

Not capable of running a lot of newer games. i would recommend a higher gen cpu and better graphics card (like a 1080 or 1660) Also, the first number of the numbers that come after the cpu model is the generation. So an i3 12100f would be a 12th gen. Also the gen matters more than the model. A 12th gen i3 is still really good and will put perform, for example, an i7 4th gen any day of the week
For contexts, yes this pc probably can run any game, but for 250$ you can't really expect much more out of it than running the game. Even with minimum setting and probably 1080p with fsr upscaling you wouldn't get steady 60 fps and the frame time would be horrible. Well this might be the case for AAA tittles, yes this can very well e-sport titles at competitive setting at acceptable fps. One of my pc's have a i5 9600kf oc'ed at 5.3ghz and a 2060, even this pc can't really play the new AAA titles very well. All said and done if you don't have the budget to buy a pc this would be very well acceptable way to get in to pc gaming, but if you have a little more budget Zac actually made really competitive 500-600$ pc builds before and you can always consider buying a console. Yes maybe you wouldn't be a pcmr member pc's but at this prices you can't really beat a console.
The 4th gens are great for budget gaming. My 3020 sff with 16gb ddr3 i5 I do believe Intel Xeon i5-4590 if I recall only Intel graphics on board. Can load warthunder pretty fast on low settings gets around 16-30fps still playable sorta. But is running Linux. The 7020 mt is also good. Though with linux and a i5 4590. I did have 20gbs of ram though in using proton I got fallout 4 to work until leaving the vault but it was smooth not much lag with it same thing as 3020 no gpu only the Intel one on board
Tf, an rx580 is like 70$ used and you can pair it up with those systems you mentioned and it Will cruise at 60fps max settings for ya, that's true budget gaming on a value 😂

GTX 1650 pulls just off the PCI slot which is less than 75 watts.
