I've been thinking of getting a 7x14 dump trailer for about five years. My friend does it but the initial investment is a little steep and running the business is a little challenging.
Great video, thank you... dumb question here...what happens if the client calls/responds to the add and wants the material but NOT delivery, he wants to pick up... how do you deal with that if that even happens??
Hey first time watcher and enjoying the content, had a quick suggestion, if you're using a dslr or a lens that can take a filter you can put a cpl (polarizer filter) and it will cut out the reflections off of your glasses. Appreciate the content!
Watched one of you videos. This one uploaded 17 minutes ago was suggested to me. Just letting you know in case you are wondering if the algorithm is working for ya!
Hey I just stumbled on to your channel and started watching. I’m curious about your experiences or thoughts on just making the trailer(s) available to the public for rent. I am looking for passive side hustles and if there’s a market to rent trailers to contractors and the public kinda like U-Haul does.
So far I have had no issues. Others have commented that they've had more issues. Demand differs dependent on the area you live in. Maybe test a couple of ads first.
I just want to know about your truck my friend. I’m getting confused with GVWR and GCWR and staying legal (under CDL). I’m looking at a 2001 Ford F550 but it’s GVWR is 19,000 but it’s rated for 26,000 GCWR. If I got a dump trailer with a 14,000 lb GVWR, I’m pretty sure I would need a CDL because 19k + 14k = 33k, even though the truck alone weighs less than 10k lbs, but it’s based on its total GVWR… I THINK. If that is the case, how are you staying under 26k with your current setup. Is your truck’s GVWR 12,000 lbs? Thank you. I really want to get into this and junk removal soon. But I’m just getting confused.
Can you make video on how they pay you or the whole process of billing and payment and or what you use and how you do it? Cards or cash etc! Also receipts and or accounting method!
What gps tracking device or service do you think would be best for protecting a dump trailer or any trailer for that matter. I worry about mine getting stolen all the time.
What if a client likes the rock on your add and schedules a delivery with you but then when you arrive with the rock to drop off and they say it’s wrong or not the right rock? Also do you collect a deposit?
Depending on the situation I collect a deposit. If they don't like the rock I don't dump it. To avoid this I communicate with the client at the yard with pictures.
@@Haroldsheavyduty one more question. What kind of contractor license would I need to get wholesale pricing? Or am I already a contractor since I have an llc?
To God be the glory. Thanks for the information i am learning and going to begin this in the future.
Absolutely!

Thank you for this. I truly appreciate all your content. I’m just thinking of getting started and it’s invaluable. Blessings.
Thank you! I really appreciate the comment.
Thanks for all the great advice! Do you have any extra tips about how to generate profit sure snowy months, besides snow removal? Cheers
Since this is my first year, I don't have anything that stands out immediately, but over the winter, you bet I will be giving out advice and ideas!

Honestly I just refer them to a local landscaping yard if that happens.

I’m curious what kind of lift / tire size you have on your truck? Respect the hustle man!!
Thank you! No lift on the vehicle standard 250 suspension. 35 inch nexen rodain tires
Exactly answered my question! Now...
How do you accept payments?
I personally use Square but there are many other options out there! Great question.

Nice video man explained this perfectly 👌🏾
Thanks bro!

Mine is 10k GVWR. If yours is 19 probably a dually 550 I'm guessing plus a 14k trailer than technically yes you would need a CDL technically.

Yes!

It's a genuine concern… You can go so simple as to put an AirTag on it or buy a big system that tracks it.
What do you do when a customer doesn't want you to deliver and wants to pick it up instead?
I refer them to a local landscape yard because I do not do that
$55 a ton ! That's crazy. Go to the quarry and get it for around $30 a ton !
$55 a ton is actually pretty cheap around here. The quarries are too far and do not deal in small loads like that unfortunately.

Thanks for getting back to me I love your videos and I’m going to start my business within the next couple weeks.

The client should go pick the rocks at the yard and we deliver it.
I really appreciate the wisdom. Thanks@ Harold Heavy Duty
You got it! 🙏
