I watched the last video a week ago and I spent a few hours this morning gathering emails for local businesses then had chat gpt make a script and emailed 10 out of the 50 emails I gathered. I got 2 yes’s in 10 minutes. I’m so excited and happy about this, I’ve tried so many ideas and this is the first idea I’ve found on RUclips that actually works.
This absolutely works. Effort=Results. Just started this October with 1 area, doing 2 areas this month. Getting ready for 3 for December. So grateful to have found this, finally some freedom from the daily grind. Thanks Jake.
I set aside all of today to go through the mastery course as well as Kevin's email scripts. Tomorrow, I will start reaching out. I will be back here to share the results.
Camera ready is because printers USED to have to take pictures of each color (CMYKB) and print metal plates to put on the printer to transfer the ink to the paper. Highes res possible. Pre-digital, but STILL useful. No need for color Sep, but useful in scanning and inclusion in postcard templates.
Hi Jake! Really informative video! This was the best one yet! Hey, Can you do a video on, Community postcards, New Movers, and M-6 postcards? Maybe the costs and numbers, etc? THANK YOU!!!
Mind Blown. Just found you. I had a marketing and graphic design biz years ago. HOW do you manage the design review process, edits, approval process, etc.? I can imagine that taking up a lot of time.
it's funny becuase that stuff is actually the part that takes the most time - just getting approvals. Really it's just a matter of being organized and quick and getting in contact with your advertisers so no ones waiting. CRM's help, free pipedrive.com plan is pretty good for it.
How do I know how to design for each business? Do I get the design from them or do I make my own? What information do I collect from the business owner?
I work for a printing company that did this 10 years ago. The hardest part is filling the spots. If you already have a decent list of potential clients it may work very well for you
This is pure gold! Appreciate it immensely, I believe I can pull off Christmas for my kids! I've already worked up a list(Emails and Phone Numbers), I begin emailing today. I do have a question, once I have this design complete and I ask you to verify it... 😁😁 How long will it take to receive the package and get it to the post office and out to Every Door!? I think this would be called Turn Around Time? Another question, I'm doing the 10K and USPS says 5k per day without the business setup and form, I would imagine I just drop of 5k one day and 5K the next day?
thank you thank you!!!! really excited for you. yeah absolutely. turnaround time is 3-4 business days for us to print and then depends if you're doing the fulfillment or us. but just add a few more business days either way and you're good. so about a week.
Thank you so much for this idea. I’m definitely gonna do this. Curious though how do you prove to the business owners that these were sent? Do you just take a photo and send it to them and say look I’ve got a stack of 10,000 prints or maybe a receipt from the post office or something?
I love your channel and have learned so much about postcards! Only problem with EDDM is it's a waste for B2B because the majority of the stops on routes are residential. Unless you're in a metro area.
@ I’m currently doing marketing for my father-in-laws business (local b2b). Once I have enough data I’m planning on making a video to showcase the results. Spoiler!!! Postcards are one of the key parts
Those flyers look Great! Can you do an EEDM mailing with them? What is the rough cost of the flyers? Those Flyers look like they could be a goldmine!!! I have this idea of targeting 1 town at a time, and keeping the cost of ads to $199. Any small biz can afford $199 to get , let's say 3,000 pieces delivered.
He mentions to do a minimum of 5k to get the best results for the businesses. Its $1115 just for postage to send 5k at the .223 cents USPS charges. Print cost will be about the same depending on who does it, make sure you do the math. 200x16spaces = $3200 -2.5k for expenses approx. $700 in profit for you. I think they can afford more that the 199 price point you mentioned, hope this helps! God Bless!
I was thinking 3000 postcards At a total cost of $1500 Then 16 spots x $200, Or $3200. So a profit of $1700. But , Maybe 5000 Pieces at a cost of $2500, and then sell the ads For $299 x16, Or $4800 total. So a $2300 profit. I would like to keep the cost of the ads To no more than $299. I am going to do this as a side biz, and want as least sales resistance as possible. I also would like to know How the flyers work, and their cost?
It's five volumes that all cover different topics (so you only have to buy what you're interested in) or you can pick them all up at once at a discount: highresponsemarketing.com/9x12
Firstly, thank you so much for creating this video. My question deals with frequency (and I apologize if you have mentioned it) How often can you publish/send out these cards? Is there a recommended number of times to have these cards direct mailed to homes? It sounds like I can send them out as frequently as I want to (like every week, 2 weeks, every 2 months, etc) and I have the ability to change up the businesses that are advertised. For example, if I wanted to have cards sent out every 2 weeks (I don't know if this is good or not) - one week could have a business A and after 2 weeks, business B could be on there (considering exclusivity). Am I understanding this correctly? 😅
Hey Jake, I think you said at some point in the video, that it cost $0.26ish to send out a mailer but then upwards of a $1 to actually print the mailer. I may have gotten some of this mixed up, but $1.26 * the 10,000 mailers to send out sounds like it eating up more than what you could get out of 16 spots at $600-$700. Can you explain the discreprencie in you saying there can be $5,000-$10k profit in this deal and the apparant cost in creating and sending these 10k mailers out? Am I getting something wrong here?
I know it sounds confusing when you hear so many numbers, I get it! YOUR cost will only be 22.3 cents in postage (as of 2024/early 2025) and then approximately 22 cents in postage. So about 45 or so cents per piece all-in.
I had a similar question. I was thinking that it was about .5 for shipping, and about .5 per to create each postcard, which still does not leave us with a profit, but I am going to watch it again, and try to do some research on it. If I find out something I will let you know.
I am halfway through this video so maybe this will be asked, but I noticed that in my market, I can do one ZIP code and hit the 10,000 mark. Should I consider doing more than 10,000? Will businesses want a larger reach? Does it become more difficult if I hit more ZIP codes?
If you have enough, you can rotate areas within one zip code. Example: Jan (north side), Feb (south side) or… just go big and do two 10k’s and cover the entire zip! 😉
How do you accept credit card through what service and just list it as advertising ? I take credit card through Shopify card reader but don’t understand how to accept it for this.
So I live in northeastern Pennsylvania 10 miles outside of Scranton. I am 70 years old and work part time as a janitor. I earn about $5000 a year. But there is a mall that I Pass everyday On my way to work. And of course there is also Scranton Pennsylvania.

Hello..... I'm a little confused on where a profit could be made? For example, if the average cost per card is $1 and you mail out 10,000 cards the total is $10K for that run. Now if the average 9x12 postcard holds 16 ad spaces costing around $600 per space. The ad revenue would be $9600. The only way to make a profit would be to charge $1,000+ per space. Maybe I'm missing something? I guess it would make more sense to do maybe 5000 postcards at $600 per ad space? -Would love some clarity. Thx.
that is not the average cost..youre probably looking at around 25 cents per card printed....and maybe around 1500 for the post office to ship...so your probably looking at .40-.45 for each card shipped...if you sold your spaces and grossed 9600..your profit would be closer to 5k...there are some variables...but this is about what you can expect...
Im very confused about the USPS calculator. If the amount they're estimating it will cost is upward of $50,000 why won't it cost me the same to do this for the 16 businesses.
