I saw photo on Facebook and hadn't been to you tube yet and was about to comment we need a tutorial! Then saw a comment there was a video up, yeah!!! Thank you! 👍
I just found your channel, and I absolutely love this peekaboo mani! 😍The navy really makes the glitter pop. I just started on my dip powder journey this week, so I may have to try this soon!💕
Oh I love this so much. I want to do this with Christmas colors! And thank you for showing how to sheer these dark solids. It’s such a useful technique!
Me too!! I want to try a chunky red glitter with milk white over. But I'm nervous lol 😆 Christmas is coming to an end so I better try it! For my new years I want to do a chunky gold with matte black over. I wish Melissa would recreate either (or both 😉) of these color combos
Love this set, I really enjoy your videos. Your voice is so calming , application is immaculate and your color combos are phenomenal. I’m always looking out for your notification because all your content is a MUST WATCH 💕💕
GORGEOUS 🎉 MY FAVORITE COLOR! Would u be so kind as to tell us what brand of nail u have over your natural nails pls? I've never needed false nails, but as I've aged, certain meds are causing my natural nails to chip & break. I'm a DIYer and have always enjoyed doing my own manis, but I need a good false nail product because I'm soooooo tired of having to keep them short and having limited nail-estate for pretty manis! Thank you for your hard work and for sharing it with us!!!❤😊
LOVE these blues!! I'm so glad you showed the sheer-ing technique. I actually tried it with black on Halloween but I didn't use enough clear. Until now I wasn't even sure I was doing the right thing to make colors sheer.
This is one of my favorites! I love these techniques. Just a little bit different than tapping or scrubbing for ombré effect. Just stunning. Love your channel. Thanks for all the great content and inspiration!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!🥰🤩😍💓!!!! I felt a bit off and didn't understand why.🤪. I realized it was because Laurel wasn't on your left hand 😂😱. Those colors are so PERFECT for Winter and so beautiful! Thank you for this Mani! Happy belated Thanksgiving. I hope that your pie turned out nicely.💗
I tried it with a color that was not sheer and it did not turn out the way that I had hoped. Thank you so much for creating this video. I can’t wait to use your technique
It's like you read my mind!!! I was JUST wondering if you could do a peek a boo with a solid.... You rock chicka, thanks for such amazing vids & inspo! ❤️
I’ve been wondering whether this would work on solid colors. Can’t wait to try this!! I struggle the most with choosing color combinations. Can you share any tips you have on that in a video?
These are so gorgeous! Thanks for this video it was just as great as your previous peek-aboo mani video. Oh, Happy Thanksgiving to you! Glad to hear you had a good one and congratulations on your 10 thousand subs! You deserve it, you are so kind and extremely talented.
I got the calendar and I love each one so much except for some strange yellow/orange nude shade. OMG, Monday is stock up on liquids day :D. So how do you know how sheer it is and how sheer do you need it? Can this be done the reverse? Like on the tip of the nail? Or is that a whole different look? Oh, you are 4 ppl away from 10K!!!!!
Hey there! Love your channel & all the great tutorials & tips & inspiration you provide! I’m new to dip powder but would love to try this method. Do you have to use your dark/navy powder with clear or can you use a lighter shade of blue? Thanks for any insight you can provide! I look forward to learning more from you as I make my way thru this new obsession! ♥️
Omg I love this mani!!! I'm not a big blue fan but yet I'd def wear this! I'll have to try it myself sometime soon, esp for NYE. But I have a current issue with a mani this weekend... I did the same process I have done for the last 1.5+ years, but my dip liquid top coat turned out cloudy & grainy (meaning can see the brush strokes)... I'm assuming it's because I didn't rub in the activator enough or gave it enough time before the top coat, and the liquid in the jar is still fine. But do you have any tips on how I can salvage my mani in the meantime? Can I file/buff down the dip top coat as much as possible & then do another top coat? If I do that should I then do a gel top coat instead of dip? Any tips would be so welcomed!!!
Absolutely you can buff it down, activate again, wait the specified amount of time, then top coat again as usual. It could be that your timing was a little off. Some liquids are more sensitive to perfect timing than other!
@@MelissasManis thank you so much!! I was thinking buffing & redoing was the answer but then was also worried it'd ruin the mani. I normally don't have a problem with my top coat since using VitaminDip but this mani did have chucky glitter so that may have thrown the timing off. Thank you again!

I love this…as someone who never could have nails because of working in a sterile environment, it’s fun to get to do them now
Oh man I love this blue! Looks like saphire!
Nice.!!!
But I must admit I loved them more right after you clear capped them.
Going to try this, definitely.
Big thanks 😊
Gorgeous. Love the blue.

What is the name of the blue glitter one so I can search it on the site please
Can you make a video doing the same with gel polish and gel extensions

Can the peek-a-boo nails be done with a chunky glitter?
Do you use a base gel or the the sticky layer from the dipping system?
Beautiful, thanks for sharing. Do you have a video showing how you do the builder nail on your natural nails before the color designs?
I do!

@@MelissasManis Great, thank you
After u did all the dips with the watered down blue, u said u filed them down. Did u put activator first?

What is the solid dark blue color name? I don’t see it on the Virgo and Gem site.
It was from their Advent Calendar
Where can I get one of those cuticle cleaners?
Its a water marbling tool. This one is from Double Dipp'd
How did you extend nail length with builder gel?
Yes
So before you file you don’t cover the whole nail in clear like normally? Just want to make sure I’m not missing anything
I did not. I only top with clear if the color or design underneath can't be filed directly :)

It's mostly about how sheer the powder is. So if a lighter blue is too opaque you'll have to add clear
Thanks so much for replying! I will keep that in mind! You’re so awesome!
What peel base do you use?
Double Dipp'd!
