I tried making this for the first time, added four chopped pods to 2 cups of water and soaked in the fridge for about 20-22 hrs. The taste was mild and pleasant but the texture was not slippery or slimy at all, so I’m hoping I still get some of the digestive benefits. Was the okra maybe not fresh enough I wonder?

After draining and drinking what do you do to the okro? Do you readd a new amount of water and repeat?

We have done two things, we have tossed the okra once it gets brown because it took us 3-4 days to finish that batch, if we drink the batch within a day or two we eat the okra. …. I hope that helps…great question

What kind of water did you use?(Hot or warm or cold)

I’ve used both bottled water as well as plain old tap water…room temp I guess, it will get nice and cold being in the fridge. We have good tap water here but you can use filtered too. I’ve never poured hot water over the Okra….. hope that helps
