Thanks Harvey, hope it wasn't too windy where you are 🫣 thanks again for the comment. Yep PJ seems back to his normal self. The difference in the weather here is much more comfortable so we shall make the most of it and roll on summer ☀️
Congratulations on reaching the med, a new chapter in your adventures lies ahead. Good to hear PJ is responding well to the medication, probably a good idea to invest in some chainmail gauntlets!
Thanks Chris, you seem to know PJ well lol but yes he's responding well to his meds, once taken. A brand new playlist for us to make now. We hope you continue to enjoy. Best wishes 👋
Well done, very much enjoyed your journey through the canals and down the rivers. It brought back many happy memories. Good luck with your stay in the Med.
Hi Barry, thanks for the comment 🙂 so glad you enjoyed our journey so far and it brought back some great memories. Now we have to put all these videos into their own 'playlist' and get a new one ready for the Med. Roll on summer ☀️
Congratulations👍 and now as the canal chapter close's we look forward as the Mediterranean chapter opens 😊for your next part of your adventure ,at least you have some decent weather which is more than can be said for us here.
Hi Keith, we've seen how bad the weather is in the UK at the moment, hope it's not too bad where you are 🤞 Yep onto the Med now we hope you enjoy our next 'playlist' and thanks for watching. 👍
Congratulations to both of You. Well done, You are professional sailors . I hope we talk soon. Keep safe and enjoy Your journey. 👍🙏 Best regards, Bogdan.
Thanks so much Bodgan, Not sure about professionals, but we are slowly getting there! 😉 every day it's a new experience and new sailing life lesson. Hope you're well 😊 x
Finally in the Med. I am looking forward to your thoughts and adventures there. I loved following you guys from England to here. Not just going from A to B......You also focussed on history. The French are funny. Question: Why a double railway bridge? Why this half bridge still blocking traffic? Why only a goodbeye in English in the last lock? Why still, as Lee mentioned, bullfighting in the Colosseum? As for PJ, I do hope he is OK and will stay that way for a long time. Fingers crossed. The umbrella. That was nice....Lee said "Mary Poppins". Really funny. Now a bit on history: Julius Caesar invented "Panem et Circenses". He was conquering the world known to him and that had an impact on the people in Rome, the rest of Italy and the regions that were under Roman reign. They were all starving, more or less. So, Julius thought, feed them and give them sth to keep their minds happy in order to prevent them from revolting. After Julius was murdered successive emperors kept that idea in mind. That worked until the year 476 when a Germanic warlord, with help from the Huns, defeated Caesar Romulus Augustulus, which marked the end of the Roman Empire. Funnily and sadly enough......I think the principle "Panem et Circenses" is still used by loads of governments, also in Europe. However, I will not turn your beautiful channel and story into a political thing. Fair winds and following seas.
Hi Gert, we love your comments 👍 all questions have been noted, we will answer a couple each. Yes you are quite correct about the circus, it's one of the reasons we left when we did. We did actually run aground under that bridge there's only a few metres to the side navigable. Best wishes
Great video once again thank you. You mentioned a Q&A video, I have a question or two if you don't mind. Would it be possible for the date to be shown or mentioned in each episode. Do you have a time line of which countries to vist and when. Have you any particular make of boat you're looking to continue your adventures. Thanks in advance, stay safe and live your dreams
Hi Keith, thanks for the comment and thanks for the questions. I can answer one now and the other two we'll save for the Q&A episode. Now we are getting a bit more organised we will be mentioning dates in all new episodes Hope the winds have died down now in the UK. 🤞
Congratulates...that was quite a journey through the french canals. It must be a great feeling being back in open water again. Soon be under sail again.⛵⛵
Well done, nice choice of music. Very much enjoying your videos bring on the Med.
Thanks Cainman, we didn't want the music to be upbeat for a venue which for many would have been their last. Thanks for noticing👍👎👍
