Hey thanks for watching the video!
Hey Jan, great vid. Love the way you explain things so simply for the haters out there who think this planet can be fed with righteous philosophy and happy rainbows. Keep it up! From a Southland NZ dairy farmer
I appreciate the comment! Hope things are well out there aswell!
Jan, the haters will always be around. They have to soothe their miserable lives by ridiculing others who do not abide by their beliefs. Your work is greatly appreciated by the vast majority of people in this world. Pretty clever how you use the blocks of wood to jack up the tractor to get the tires off. Great video-thanks.
Using blocks is pretty standard
As for the haters- vegans will be vegans, if they could go more than 5 minutes without crying about something vegan related then they aren’t real vegans 😊
"A privileged place to complain from." Well said, SDK. And, yes, indeed, foolish, for sure.
Yes! Exactly!
Its harder both for calf and cow waiting to separate them. They ll be more bonded then. These animals seems to enjoy life, I really like the way You handle them. Great upload, great channel, thanks!
Great and accurate video as always Jan.
Take no notice of the ignorant but noisy minority 'farm haters'. They're not worth your airtime, or the oxygen we waste on them.
Keep up the good work y'all to feed us folk that actually understand and appreciate your efforts.
Your dad is a riot. Always good to see him in the videos. Same with your mom. You have a very cool family. Farming/ranching families...we can be a totally different breed. Good and "bad". 😂
Amen
Jan,, just keep on doing what you are doing..we are behind you.. We appreciate what you all do day to day and our lives would be very different without all you farmers.. We appreciate you more than you know
New subscriber and a Canadian city man, watched a previous video of yours taking calves away on the day they are born. I didn't understand and thought it a little harsh, now after watching your sisters video, explaining the whole prosses it makes sense. You should give your sister a shout out about her video so others can understand that practice. Enjoy both channels👍👍👍
I agree. Your sister’s channel “ A Dairy on the Prairie” has excellent and clear reasons why they pull calves. I never knew that Holstein cows were clumsy. Poor calf.
I like how you wake up in such a great mood so early every morning !
Yea your 💯% right I’m always in the best mood when I wake up! 😂
Jan, the HELL with the haters..You and your family always do a great job. I am glad that I found your farm. Really awesome farm and family. Great video. Thank you
Love the video. Idea, instead of using sand and doing all the extra work with the loader, have you thought about using old railroad ties to hold the plastic down
You are so patient pulling that plastic out for a job,,,many grandsons would rebell...thanks for being you...xx
Love watching your channel as well as your sisters! As a kid who grew up around cows/calves, and was part of 4-H, definitely brings back childhood memories. Keep up the great work!! 👍🙂
I enjoy my Milk 🥛 😋 and I Love a Steak for dinner a few times a week keep up the awesome videos and work you do with your family and crews.
Spent 30 years using heavy equipment and loud tools. I use earplugs now even though the 13khz tone is still present at all times. Phone app tone generator is a good prank for people that can still hear. Protect your ears folks! Very enjoyable video Jan! Keep 'em coming!
Thank you friend Jan for sharing the experience of another great day with hard work in the dairy. Amazing.👍
Dad knows how to keep his Son out of trouble, keep him busy picking up plastic out of the sand. LOL
Good to hear you express yourself Jan
Thank you!
what do you do with klosterman milk from the first milking after calving just curious
Colostrum is initial fluid produced right after birth by mammals. It promotes health/growth by giving high caloric levels, strength, immunity to disease and good gut health for the calves. This is milked separately from the mothers and fed to the newborns. Any extra colostrum is stored and fed to other calves as needed. Great stuff!
Amazing video Jan! I appreciate your expert knowledge and thoughtful statements. Farm life is an awesome teacher. Well done!
4am your cows get up real early. I do so love it when you call the cows ladies. so sweet. You really seem to care about them. Someone needs to breed a cow which does not have the shits. Looks like you are finally getting some warmer weather. We have not had a frost since beginning of April so the weeds here are huge. I have very impressed with your operation.
Jan, love you guys and thank you for giving me my milk for my three meals a day!
Hey all, Jan, Jeff here... dairy farmer from Pennsylvania... love the videos!! And I agree with with the others, you vegans need to focus on something else, like ridding yourselves from our lives... Lord knows we don't pester you...
Jan, Always interesting stuff. If youre looking for something to discuss share your knowledge about the utter of a holstein and how the milk gets produced within a cow. Everyone would find this interesting and informative.
Hey Jan it’s pretty cool to see your Dad getting a little less camera shy and making a few appearances.
If you can’t loosen or tighten a bolt with your ratchet get yourself a scrap piece of pipe and stick It on the handle so that it adds a much length as possible which would increase the leverage therefore it would require a lot less force
A couple of years ago there was a lady campaigning for governor and she literally said "I will ban farmers and make them buy food from the grocery store just like everyone else!". 🤯 I felt embarrassed for humanity. 🤦 Fortunately she lost.
Love your creamer dispenser Can't get any fresher then that Another great video thanks
is the new cows milk saved and given the collostrum to the new calves?
Love your vids Jan, I love watching all your videos, love the way you explain thingy, why you do it and what are the benefits from it. im young dairy farmer From New Zealand Southland that is a dairy farmer
That’s the only way to get milk cream straight from the cow for coffee love it. Yes I agree with you 💯percent milk and beef come from dairy farms to feed the people .
Great video Jan! How's the moisture that way so far this spring? Fall rye crop looking good?
The kielstra Holstein foundation had me dying. Hope y’all are doing well out there in Sask. we’re still trying to get corn in down in Chilliwack BC
Nothing
Nothing information about dairy farming
In this video
Thx
What's your problem, Jan?? Why don't you hug and kiss the babies like Neline does?? lmao!
Great video thanks:) wishing you a good harvest, herd health
Hi I am tayyab from pakistan. I am all skill farm worker and driver. Plz I come to Canada plz any help me
Why u have only two tractors with 3 point on farm i saw on back of Versetile and i know that small New Holland has it too
Instructions i got for changeing car tyres was to first loosen the bolts about half a turn and only then jack it up to loosen the bolts completely. On the ground the wheel give counter pressure to turn against making the start easier. Saves wear and tear on you and your tools.
Hey man!My question is how long does it take for you to milk every cow?
well said Jan, all they are doing is denying themselves the awesome flavour of food like fresh Holstein milk at 3 degrees out of the tank its unexplainably delicious with the cream on top so good as is a steak and shrimp on the barby or fried chicken or a spicy burger with blue cheese
Due to my depression I wouldn't be able to do what you do you are blessed
Thanks for all you do to keep us fed and supplied with milk.
Thanks for watching the video!
Hello, can i ask if farmers act to prevent cows for producing methane? Hoping for answer
Your dad is hilarious 😂 And yes at least little sister didn’t take out a wall 😂 My day is always made with a Jan video !
100% jan you farmers do a great job every day 🐄👍
Never had milk in coffee that fresh! 👍👍👍
what happens to cows after their lactation cycle ends
Fresh milk in your morning Java ** good day
Doug Diplacido is absolutely right! Great advice. Jan you're making really great content!! I speak with thousands....we are grateful for your channel. Thank you 😊
you couldn’t have said it better jan!
Jan I worked with someone a few years ago that would brag about being vegan. A year after they quit the company I saw them at a party and they were pounding some of those marinated vegan steak tips. I asked how those tasted and got no comment! Just live the lifestyle you want and keep it to yourself. Your farm along with treatment of the animals is exceptional that’s why we watch. Awesome improvements Jan, keep up the great work. 👍👍👍
Thanks for that statement about the winners
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for the hard work you and your family do every day. Really love the up grand on farm.
Over look the haters .You are doing a fine job.
Thanks!
Vegans are ok really . . . . . . . but I couldn't eat a whole one! Respect👍
That’s so true we get Villainised for being dairy farmers here in New Zealand sometimes you start to wonder why we do it but we love or cows and what we do
Women are doing worst with their baby’s in America, at least your calls have a chance. You made crave a cup of coffee when you made the cup yummy coffee, it’s 5:37 PM but I am making me a cup.
Sir I am farmer ex 15 year age 28 .live in india .sir I need this job .plz help me sir
15 years of experience at age 28?
It don't sound legit.
Without folks like yourselves, the people criticizing would be pretty skinny! Until people understand the process, maybe asking why instead of commenting of something they know nothing about would be more appropriate.
Keep up the awesome content!
Love your farm and watching all you do keep up the good work
From now til 2024 sometime will be the test for Canada citizens also united states citizens for everything especially food.
Greata video, as usual. You are a good communicator, Jan. Did I hear you talking in Dutch with your dad? Love how you interact. Your explanations are so clear and helpful. Fascinating what you are doing. Yes, ignore the vegans, all philosophy, nothing practical at all. Good on you and your fine family.
Thank You for sharing
it's a odd thing with vegans but if we didn't eat meat or drink milk or use eggs then there really wouldn't be any point in having these animals unless you wanted to keep em as pets .!
What's the difference between milking twice vs thrice daily?
hi , is any way You give me an opporttunity to be a part of your crew?
🙄
Farmers Feed Cities
Who wakes the cows for the 4.30 milking?
Amazing shots! The flashing light right by the roof in the parlour what is it for?
That is why you do it
🇨🇦👍👍👍OK🇺🇸
EXCELLENT video, Jan! Thank you.
Just tell them there is no formula shortage for that little bull.😝😝😝😝
You have a long day if you start at 4 in the morning. Good for you well done
I want to see your Sister in your videos , 💯 , please .......
Enjoy your channel immensely. Was the big 4 wheel drive New Holland with the air drill that went by in the background near the beginning of your video your farms??
It's theirs. It's a ford from the couple years where ford owned versatile and badged them as fords.
I am a farmer and l interstate in cow dairy farm but l am Indian l want to come the canada
Ignore the haters! You do a great job!
I was waiting for: "Yes....Mastitis! 🤢" 🤭
hello jan every video make me motivated to start this field . thanks
Take the bad with the worse. Hang in there guys.
... In the states only 2% are farmers/ranchers.... what's the % in Canada..??
9.5% is rural but not sure what percent is in ag
Those negative comments are made by some unhappy people. I just ignore them. Without all the dairy farmers and cattle farms and ranches there would be a lot of hungry people in the world. I for one love my milk and especially beef chicken and pork. Thanks to all farmers for what they do.
Great video, always love watching and learning. I just want to remind you, though, about tires: there are people out there who actually pay for the privilege to move tires around. So if ever you feel tired, or are in a bad mood and just don’t feel like dealing with tires remember: you’re lucky you get to move them for free! I’ve never understood why people would want to go out of their way to pay to move tires around.
hi from maine great vedios
Thx4 feeding us! Blessings.
What I would like to say to the haters I can't sat here. Forget them. They are just pathetic morons far as I'm concerned. You do an outstanding job & I love your videos!
🚜 🚜 🚜🐄🐄🐄🐄 🚜 🚜🚜
This guys been here for years! Thank you Ken!
Another great video. Your parents did a great job raising you and giving you such great work ethics. 👍
The way forward is education and best practice always.
It doesn't get any fresher than that milk for your coffee.
You don’t eat what you raise
It's 'called' 'A bull float'
Vegan haters. 😂😂
I have tried soy milk, tofu and gluten free pasta. These foods have no joy. I am so glad you do what you do.
Eating gluten free pasta has nothing to do with being vegan. I eat all meat and I have to eat gluten free pasta and bread ect or else I get extreme stomach pains.
@@mienafriggstad3360 I understand. My comment was for those "foodie elites" who choose not to eat gluten products.
All of this woke crap these days is the one world religion in revelation.
As long as you have good animal welfare standards and abide by them there is not a problem
Love this great
