I'm an artist. Periwinkle is definitely a color and I'd say that because in one frame the gloves look blue and in another frame they look purple, they are in fact actually periwinkle.

also women tend to be able to see colours better then men can, so it might just be "blue" to him, but to a woman it's completely different (but guys also tend to generalize - 20 shades of blue will all be "blue")
In HTML, Periwinkle is #CCCCFF, while there is PowderBlue #B0E0E6. I think either one might be a match for those gloves; it depends on the color-temp of your lights in the milking parlor. We'd have to see them outside in sunlight to decide for sure.

Hyacinth Bucket from "Keeping Up Appearances" had Periwinkle China. It was blue colored flowers. Everyone kept breaking them. And then your sister said "Nice" like Onslow, the way another character says it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'll tell ya man, I sit here in my mid 40s, born and raised in the city of Calgary, and I'm super envious of your life. My father was a farm boy in Saskatchewan for the first 18+ years of his life. Watching your videos and listening to his stories I can't help but feel I missed out on so much in life. The city sucks. It's just a big concrete shopping mall. Sure farm work is hard, but there's something about that type of work that is far more gratifying than the "grind" in the city. I have zero useful skills for real life, I would be completely lost in that environment and that makes me sad.

Jan, I run a pressure washing company in Tennessee with an 8GPM cold water unit. You are definitely on the right track with the high volume and lowered pressure. I would look at getting a 72 inch lance to keep from getting spray back from the dirt. It really helps. Thanks for the videos.
Jan the last several videos I keep thinking a super high pressure foam bath bio degradable followed by a cold wash off bottom. Top sides and ends

Jan, For the top of the tank, try finding a scraper to remove most of the "crap" off, then pressure wash it. IT can just be a reg plastic one attached to a stick
You need to contact "Larson Farms" and see what kind of soap they use on their equipment prior to high pressure washing. It sure does a good job for them.

Another nice video, but I have to tell you something about your argument with your sister. I'm not that much older than you, but I have learned something from my interactions with the strange phenomenon that we call the " female species." Just remember that they are born with a longer memory than the Library of Congress. Just when you think that your day is perfect, with the sun shining, the birds chirping, and the planets all lining up, they will remember something you said at 8:03 PM, July 22, 1981 that you were wrong about. And, if you are married to them, you had better darned well remember EXACTLY what she was wearing the first time you ever did anything with her, from your first date to the first time her mother said she could have done better. So, what I'm saying is..... whenever a female tells you that you are wrong, immediately admit you are wrong, apologize for disagreeing with her, wash her car, and offer to slam your fingers in a car door. That being said, I'm sure you feel you are safe now, but just remember.... someday when you are sick at the hospital, she might very well be auctioning off your organs on eBay.

I must admit Jan, I would have swept before I vacuumed. I think it may be a time saving choice. Having said that, it is nice to see clean equipment. I have seen floors of tractors that were growing barley and you couldn't tell what colour they were. In that case you start with a shovel!
Periwinkle is usually known as Lavender. Which seems to describe the colour better.

It's OK Jan. My wife speaks in all shades of color. I see all blues being blue, nothing more. All greens are green, done. Apparently my truck is Arizona Sand. I call it brown.

Another idea for expansion would be to have a wash pad that drains into the manure pit so that when you wash all the manure equipment off it ends up in pit instead of on the driveway

Been wondering, what is your source of water? That river valley you drove us thru last year looks like it might have a good aquafir available? Do you have to recycle and filter water like in California?
Their farm sits atop the Forestry Farm aquifer, a deep one under much of Saskatchewan. They have 2 or 3 wells to access this water. Most of the water they use ends up in their manure lagoon, which is then pumped out and spread on the fields, so that it will (eventually) filter down to recharge the aquifer.
I believe Periwinkle is a flower. How big is your farm? How many head of cattle?

I think it one of the color blue they use on the concrete Dutch Couples statues that are in some yards. Do you ever think about foaming the equipment before power washing. they're about $20 bucks on marketplace.

Great video again. I have 2 questions, can you show a map/ diagram of all the acres on your farm and where they are to the dairy. Also the rubber boots you wear can't be like the rubber boots I buy ( all rubber nothing else), do they have like a shoe to support your feet and allow you to kick things like you do sometimes do. They must have something special inside otherwise your feet would be hurting in an hour or two !

Including that vacuum the Milwaukee stuff we have, that seemed the most useless when we bought it is the stuff we seem to use the most. Fan and Bluetooth speaker couldn't go without as well the usb chargers, charge faster then the wall.

A tip on washing, wash top down so the water can soak as you go down. Never go bottom up as it only lets crap come down on the clean areas.

You have to have heard of Regenerative Agriculture by now? Surely? Saskatchewan is pretty dry, rain wise so just for that reason you need to learn about cover crops, no plough soil handling, biological diversity, supporting ecosystems, rotational grazing and the benefits they provide - zero fertiliser, zero biocides, drought-proofing, less fuel used.......
And washing anything - top down - always. Just tone down the pressure when you start, for soaking, finish in the second pressure pass. Half the time.

You come to United States in Indiana or any other state we either have clay or black dirt or brown dirt or sandy dirt . I don’t think anyone in United States has sand . We got tumble weeds out west and fires and tomatoes earth quakes maybe some volcano’s and snow storms some real bad and high winds hurricane’s some of United States has hills and hollow’s and gullies and flat land’s. Their light color purple we got them.
