  • For the 2.5D head effect, I do the following animation with tilting down, up, left, right and then adjusting the weights in animation mode by jumping over key frames (having previously attached the bones in setup mode).
    Often in the final animation the range of motion is not as extreme as during the rig setup stage and you can waste a lot of time on detail that ultimately won't be visible.
    I proceed directly to the animation, ignoring small flaws in the weights, and adjust the weights only if necessary during the process.
