Do you just plug the positive and negative from a light bar, ditch lights etc directly to the Garmin Power Switch? or do you still need a relay and wiring harness?
Thank you for spending some time on the powerswitch and helping me make up my mind. Definitely going to keep my eye out for a sale since it tis the season. This things seems like a dream to install and use. Do you get normal Bluetooth range with it?
Great video and thanks for sharing. I'm considering the overlander too. Do you have experience with coupling the BC35 camera to the overlander? I've read, it takes time when you switch the car in reverse before the video is available. Is this true?
Really love the simplicity of the Garmin Powerswitch, but if it connects directly to the battery, isn’t it always on? Worried about parasitic loss from the battery over time?
These guys are my favorite! Question not related to this video but how hard was the BD fog lights install on the RAV4? I have a TRD off road and would like to install them.
Switch pro is a pos I bought one and installed it it works fine but the app sucks and it’s old school this is the way to go or Redarc. And switch pro customer service is rude as hell they can kick rocks.
My understanding is the Garmin switch will auto shut off the unit if the user accidentally leaves a light source off to prevent battery drain. Is that correct?
From my understanding, The power switch will not auto shut off because a power source is left on but will shut off if a power source is pulling too many amps (over 30 amps) i believe.
@@Runnin4Tacos no prob. I called and Garmin said no. It’s an always on power source for those that come around looking for the answer. So remember to kill your lights and accessories y’all!
For the weboost, did you have to run wires from the inside through the firewall?
Same question. I’m wondering did they just cut the cigarette plug or was there another set of wires

I’m looking at this for the possibility of using their BC35 backup camera if I get a swing out on my 4Runner.

Yeah, the range is pretty awesome. Definitely our go-to switch option now!

It shuts off if your battery drops too low

Pretty easy besides all the plastic that has to be moved out of the way. 🙏 for the kind words
Switch Pro has the Force 12 now with 12 switches.
They do but still takes up a physical space inside and harder to wire up

@@Runnin4Tacos gotcha. Thanks. Is there a way to make the power switch then ACC powered? I can’t find any mention about that in the manual.
@@ThatCleanMT Hmmm. that I am not sure of. Sorry.

@@ThatCleanMT Gotcha! Thanks
I wish the power switch had fancy button layout. Better graphics.
