We need mandatory minimum death penalties for certain crimes. Jury can decide if we make it quick, or very slow and painful; or if the victims/families get to participate in the execution; but the death penalty itself needs to be a minimum in cases like this.
Every society throughout history has known intuitively that the death penalty is a cornerstone of the law itself.

@@pommiebears I was just about to reply to the same comment when I read yours and you said 💯 what I was about to write. Many people keep implying that this one juror obviously didn't believe in the death penalty when that simply isn't necessary the case at all. This Juror (or any other Juror's who have been in a similar situation) may wholeheartedly believe that certain crimes should be punishable by death, but that is not the reason they vote against it when faced with making their decision. The reason is that they agree with what the defence team has shown in mitigation.

Does this speak more of the Jury, than the Shooter?
Federal Law would Issue a Mandatory Death Sentence, for anyone Convicted of such a 'Large Number of Fatalities', be it Negligence,
Accident, Intent, etc... Only in Cases of 'Big Business', would it not Warrant the Mandatory Death Sentence...If they could not 'Assign a Chain of Command',
perhaps? But this, with a Single Individual, entering a School, with Malicious Intent... Certainly would get the Needle.... The Supreme Court could not Deny the Clarity of the Moment, Psychosis or Not. Due to the 'Long Period of Time' between Planning and then Carrying out the Act..
Because the School receives Federal Funding, as do All Schools, the Federal Courts would have Jurisdiction, as it is all about "Following the Money' and
the State, though Named on the Charter or on the Nameplate, would not be 'Final Say' when it comes to such 'Federal Appropriations', which in this Case,
    involved Death on School Grounds...

This WOKE society we have created ourselves all of us are guilty of being to quick to label kids when really all they need is discipline in the home, in schools give back the discipline to teachers to the police to the parents stop allowing children getting away with stuff that my parents would never have allowed I am 68 years old my parents had rules my school had rules I grew up knowing if I broke them I paid the consequences and I did at home I was grounded at school a ruler across my hands and detention, I was terrified if played up the school would ring my father I got spanked as a child for things today kids do without a thought. There are generations of kids growing up telling their parents they can't smack them ifthey do the kid will tell on them...I thank god I'm nearly leaving this life because we live in an unjust world one where rules mean othing anymore and a wrong doer hides under a mental illness umbrella

This monster CREATED victims!! That alone should cancel out his "victim hood" I don't know many if any that had a easy breezy childhoods they didn't have to overcome and heal from.

Hats of to the courage and strength to patiently participate in the justice system an if this is what is called justice indeed God bless America 🙏🏼💔 all the shooters will be relieved soon enough to think that they will only be life sentences for their crimes and like heroes sit in the jail asking for sandwiches & Starbucks we don’t want to change this is the greatest lesson or moral of our justice told us clearly

Yes they absolutely failed he should of gotten the Death Penalty , he point blank shot multiple times at /into Gina and the monster gets to live .
Gina was failed so we’re the 16 other kids
Just cause someone had a rough up bringing doesn’t excuse or negotiate shooting a school up
Gina your light will continue to shine brighter than the northern star you are my friend Angel now ….I’ll never forget as the accounts I recall on the second floor
Hell is getting hotter by the minute for the monster 149 trillion times hotter than anyone else would get 😭😭😭😭😭

I cannot begin to believe or imagine what these families are going through. It's tough man! it's tough losing your family to such a tragedy. Also, the jury! to make a decision to take a life. At the end of the day no one has the right to take a life. Yet alone make a decision to decide to do so.

I have no sympathy for these parents. They are all bloodthirsty lunatics, and by answering death with more death, they are no better than the murderer himself. The jury are all better people than these parents will ever be
