I've watched everything he's ever done (that I could find) and some of it is so on point it's painful. My favorite sketch is The Most Difficult Jon on the Planet. Have you seen the version he did on Letterman? It's awesome.

Up the pay? Improve conditions? Nope, they installed nets to catch roof jumpers. It pretty much encapsulates a certain kind of annoying person. Complains about how we treat the environment from their private jet while using champagne to clean up the crap their designer pocket dog just took.

Honestly, this whole bit is weak if you think about it. He co-founded one the most successful computer companies in the world, so that whole line about "what did he do" makes no sense. He was kicked out of Apple and then it started going to shit, so they brought him back and he turned the company around. That's why he's synonymous with Apple. And he helped create Pixar, arguably the best animation studio in the world. I guess it's funny if you're ignorant about what he actually did though.
I think his point is that he was big on "Grandstanding" and was never big on giving the people who did a lot of the hard work and had the breakthroughs any credit.

It's no secret that Bill isn't exactly a big fan of things such as increasing numbers of people going through their days glued to a smart phone etc. and Apple is/was one of the biggest driving forces towards that becoming a norm. Furthermore, regardless of everything you have pointed out, it doesn't change the fact that Steve Jobs was still mainly a business man and as such being the case, is not truly responsible for a lot of the real work that went into bringing these ideas into fruition. As is almost always the case, these inventions and innovations would never be made possible without most of the serious work being done by, as Bill mentioned, 'nameless, faceless scientists.' The jokes premise is not flawed; even without subtext, he explicitly illustrated that he disliked Steve Jobs because he considers him to have been a self aggrandizing business man who gets credit for the work that he hired others to do the bulk of. Whether or not you agree with the premise or find the joke funny, you have to be downright oblivious in order to fail to see the potential humor and the reasoning behind it.
