List of priorities while driving:
1. Phone.
2. Conversation with passengers.
3. Adjust wardrobe.
4. Continue with meal.
5. Concentrate on song lyrics.
6. Contemplate meaning of existence.
7. Watch the road.
and maybe vodka its Russia
people that drive with their phone deserve critical cancer
8: be more important than other drivers
Most people where we live do 100-100km/h on a road rated for 80 and there has been no crashes for 4 years(note road is near a river)
A majority of these are from Russia. They have huge problems with false insurance claims, so I think it is mandatory now for all vehicles to have their own dash cam.
...and huge problems with vodka as well.
They have problems with those fu***n huge intersections without separate lanes for turning left, without separate lights for turning, without any lines at all.
To be fair, people from russia don't really drive much more badly than everywhere else (they do, but not as much as people think), it's just that because it's mandatory to have a dash cam there, then we see a lot more footage fromm out there than from any other countries.
U know what else Russia has problems with. No damn airbags in their cars!!! Like seriously there’s to many accidents and it’s 2018 they should have added airbags by now
Welcome to the world of Russian dashcam videos. Personally I think it is a combination of local culture and lack of generational experience. A while back someone pointed out Russia has about 5 times the accidents that the US does. Even so, they are amazingly good drivers compared to a lot of the world. It's all relative.

11:20 As a car driver you have to be aware, that trucks can't see you in that blind spot.
Don't drive there or this will happen to you.
Good to know this.

In the Dutch language opa means grandfather. So all my live i have insulted my grandfathers by calling them opa. 😂
Talking about your semi tractor incident. I was in the Army, driving an M-60 tank at 35 mph and a car pulled into an intersection and stopped directly in front of me. My eyes met the passenger's as she comprehended (sort of) how horribly she was about to die. Fortunately, I stood on the brakes as hard as I could and managed to stop before I killed them.
Needless to say you could do nothing wrong as a driver and still get screwed over.
The thing is also, ppl are so unaware of how truck blind spots work. Like for instance the odds of the buss driver not even seeing the motor cyclists infront of him are quite high due to the driver seat being that high up. same goes for right next to both doors massive blind spots. Never get in those spots unless you plan to pass him quickly , if you stay there for 15 mins he might forget and just drive you off the road
for the ones where it seems like the driver looses control, its not necessarily that they were doing something else and not looking. being tired while driving can easily lead to nodding off and then losing control
The answer is simple: Distracted Driving. The majority of these collisions were preventable.
or impatient a-holes that's another answer
This video stressed me out watching. Last year I was hit twice. Once by a lady on a city street who tried to do a u turn from a parked position and t-boned me and another time by a 16 year old kid who wasn't paying attention and rear ended me at a stop sign.
Well we are very glad you are okay ❤️
@@AshtynJon20 thanks!
That's why I'm glad I live in a country where 16 year old kids aren't allowed to drive yet...
I like them... somebody was pulling out, going the other way, on the other side I knew that guy was going to pull out going my way! I was prepared for evasive action.
Родной гонщик макс!
At 6:30, the dashcam car was in the wrong lane.
The car turning right was driving the right way.
At 7:44, that happened in Ottawa, Canada. The cyclist actually walked away fairly unscathed. Also, by absolute fluke, the police just happened to be nearby cracking down on jaywalkers.
The cyclist was fined by police for running the red light. No action was taken against the driver of the car
Ashtyn: “How is this happening, are people stupid?”
Me: yes.
In my experience. Never cut a big truck or something like that. Cause it's harder for them to stop 😅
Just so you know, there are huge blind spots around big trucks. That car was sitting in a blind spot. And trucks don't want to cruise in the passing lane. We want to be in the right lane, but move left to pass or let others in. Don't sit on the right side of the truck. Get around it or back off so it can move back over.
I'm an OTR driver and I watch four-wheelers attempt suicide multiple times a day due to their arrogance around 80,000 pound trucks like mine.
The reason people just get up as if nothing happened is because the body, within less than a second, activates its survival instincts. The boody releases adrenaline along with other hormones. The adrenaline makes you feel less pain and increases blood pressure.
14:53 you appear to be confused, that was a motorcyclist weaving in and out of traffic going way too fast. There's nothing unsafe about lane splitting when done correctly, and it's totally legal in most developed nations for this reason.
Jeffory Mitchell Exactly thats what i said, if done right it’s safe, and its legal in most nations and US states. So idk why they’re complaining.
This should be a reminder to everyone..Stop over correcting you dont need turn the wheel all the way if you barely tap the guardrail..
Things to do while driving your car :
1) Check the messages on your phone
2) Look at yourself in the mirror and comb your hair
3) Do your nails
4) Pick your nose and look at the shops
5) Look at the floor and count the number of little squares in the rubber mat
6) Yawn for a long time
7) Put your head down and search in the glove box
8) Read the newspaper
9) Play a game of chess with your passenger
10) Read a book about driving
11) Do your ironing
12) Wash your hair
13) Peel some onions
14) Do a crossword puzzle
15) Have a little nap
16) Turn the steering wheel now and then...........if you're not doing anything else
the driver you described as a bully wouldnt have seen that car he hit. it was in his blind spot. try driving a semi and youl see just how massive the blind spots are
Theres so many motorcyclists that lane split/filter. Lane splitting is actually only completely legal in California. Its illegal to lane split in all other states unless your going under 30mph.
Fatigue is a huge killer on the roads in Australia. We have huge distances between towns and in the warm weather people just nod off. Thats why we have driver reviver stops . Some are manned by volunteers who hand out coffee and biscuits or sandwiches
1. Texting and driving
2. Falling asleep and driving
3. People when they drive dont look at the side mirrors when changing lanes and just cross right over
4. A lot of people think they can make a right or left turn right away when there is cars on the other side of the lane and think to themselves they drive race cars so they think they can make it.
5. A lot of drives dont give left or right signals when chaining lanes which causes the drivers behind he/she to be confused when they need to change lanes when they give the signals but the car upfront wont.
I live in Knoxville TN. I just had bought a brand new 2018Toyota Prius prime and I didn’t even make my first payment in it and I loved that little car. I was going down Chapman highway (one of the most dangerous roads in Knoxville) I had to go down that road to go to work. This girl pulled right out in front of me and I hit her car about 50mph. Air bags came out and car totaled. I tried to swerve away but couldn’t fast enough.
I think it's either distracted (looking at phone/radio) or people driving too long and dozing off. Crash will wake you right up, assuming you're alive after.
A lot of russians have dash cams I think it's for insurance or something that's why there are so many videos from Russia.
14:26 I remember that guy he sadly died from that wreck on that day it happened when I was still living in Russia r.i.p that guy his name was radkov michkelon 1984-2017 what a sad day
14:40 the reason he's flying is that he still has the momentum, meaning less impact force with the car, rolling around on the pavement with a helmet is hardly lethal. anyway, it's youtube not liveleak
I see a few from U.K. here. Mostly our roads are safe. Just occasionally we get big accidents because people drive too fast and too close to car in front.
It’s a blow out, when your tyre basically explodes and you’re on a freeway it’s incredibly hard to maintain control.
On some of these people actually lose control of their vehicles. Like the brakes might go out and the car just accelerates or the steering goes out. Some of these are just dump drivers though
All these people on bikes getting knocked down and instantly getting up again is actually pretty normal.
I got hit by a car once so hard that I broke 3 ribs and 4 fingers. And I just immediatly stood up. The shock and the adrenaline just overshadow everything else.
6:29 so nobody gonna mention the beat dropped right when they collided?!?!?!?
I completely agree with her about it being scary driving. It’s horrifying having to worry about other people being good drivers and not killing you.
How Ashtyn? Multiple reasons. Momentarily lapse of control thanks to sleeplessness, or distraction, involuntary muscle spasms in the arm can cause jerkiness of the arms which in turn makes the driver turn the wheel without meaning to, and so on. Most vehicles are over a tonne in weight so yeah every driver is driving a one-tonne weapon or battering ram.
im a truckdriver and that truck that "pushed" that small cat at the end of the video (around 11min20sec mark), it was the drivers fault BUT also the small car was in the trucks blindspot he had noway of seeing that car, these kind of accidents with trucks are a everyday event lol ...
these crashes happen cuz the driver is distracted, talking on the phone, texting, eating messy food, drinking coffee too soon, drinking alcohol, smoking a cigarette or a big fat cigar, applying makeup, applying wardrobe, making love to the passenger, giving birth, putting in a CD, singing in the car, dancing in the car, doing drugs, looking at a map or just some teenager going on a joyride
Just so you guys know, hit the < key to back frame by frame and the > to do so but forwards
The human body is designed pretty strong: At the moment of impact we relax for about 1 sec. Drunk drivers survive there crashes due to extended moments of being relaxed during the crash/impacts, causing them to survive. When your tensed up, you are fighting the pressures on you = causing bodily harm.
At 11:46 the reason the dude was on the other side of the road was bc there were cones in the road for the parked truck, the only person at fault was the parked truck.
For the double decker bus clip it's because the light turned green for going straight but it was in the left turn lane so it just plowed through
Although I speed every time I come to a intersection of some sort I end up slowing down unless I'm on a main Street I even have a problem where I'll stop when there's no stop sign and that's usually when I'm not paying attention
On that horse one it reminded me of this one time where my dads cousins was driving at night on a highway in Mexico so a horse walks in on the traffic and I saw one of the pictures and it was just flesh all over the car
This video literally pisses me off. Like I have had an experience like this once, where I was driving on the right side of the lane and another truck comes into my lane without signaling. Cracks my drivers mirror. What made it even worse, is that the guy didn't speak english. Luckily there was translator located where I was. The deal was he wanted me to call the police, the only thing was nobody was injured and we just exchange information. Again, he asked me to call the police which is so dumb because if a policeman comes to see the accident, it will be the guy who was at fault. So the translator and I agreed that, we should exchange information and get this resolved even though the other person didn't understand. Again, people please be safe and use your head when it comes to driving because your life is not the only one that is important when it comes to driving on the road. Be respectful and mindful.
Some times people are just not on their full senses. Some times DUI or too tired. I don't understand how some jobs like ER doctors or security guards have to work shifts 24/12 and at the end of the 24 they have to find their way home. I am talking about those drivers that suddenly lose control of their vehicle without having an obstacle or a condition on the road.
he might survived I know one guy that was going about 200km/h smashed in to car with bike flew like 10m in air and about 30m in distance and survived.
6:39 yes they can turn right, it is the fault of the dude on the left lane, he is overtaking without looking out for the oncoming traffic.
btw that bus that ran over the motocycles was public transport for singapore
it's a traction and phone problem and braking as well
about the truck, they have something called "blindzone" (ofc smal cars also have it)
Every time you get in your vehicle.....remember this video.......people make mistakes....are not paying attention....are just plain stupid.....and all it takes is 1 muffin head to ruin your day.....your year....you life.....we take driving too much for granted........WATCH OUT FOR THE OTHER GUY........ALWAYS......DRIVE DEFENSIVELY......ITS DANGEROUS OUT THERE!!!!
People on motorcycles always just bounce back up like nothing happened. It's kinda scary
Well mainly it's because you're in shock and u get up without thinking about it, even if u have broken bones.
I have said it before and I will say it again, Driving licenses in many places are easy as hell to get and should be harder to get and people need to be made to do every test over again every 10 years to keep their licenses.
"It's the black car's fault" - Jon
6:40 Because most European roads have a white center line, not a yellow.
Yesss
Yea when the roads turn out like that I agree with you guys some of them did not play it too smart
if you snap a tie ride a car with swerve left or right (depending on which side it broke one) violently. few realize how dangerous no maintenance can be to a vehicle.
Most of these people are either distracted, or drunk. At bare minimum half the people on the road around you is high or distracted. This is one reason I don't wanna buy a really nice, old car and drive it on the road. (I know the older cars are normally less safe, but I just love the oldies.) I'd be afraid some idiot (Or myself.) would total it. (And total me.)
Good video though, and don't feel too pressured to keep making videos constantly. Family always comes first.
As a Truck Driver I see alot of this everyday. Majority of it is due to drivers playing on their cellphone, doing makeup, using a laptop or just not paying attention while driving.
The truck at 11:23 was most likely sleeping at wheel. Therefore driving impaired. Just the way the truck is progressively moving to the right. I've personally seen stuff like this happen.
3:42 that is a drunk driver for Sure
It's normal for americans to pull in front of semi and then emergency brake when both are going 70 mph. I heard from few texans that it is even part of license test.
You can play RUclips videos frame by frame with comma and full stop.
I drove taxi 70+hrs a week for 7 years. Yes people are dumb. This kind of shit happens everywhere, everyday. After a while, you just chuckle and shake your head because if you don't you'll get anger problems. That's pretty much you're 2 options - laugh or get pissed.
Motorcycles are allowed to go through cars it’s called lane splitting but they can only do it if they do it safely. I get really scared when I see motorcycle accidents because my brother drives one it gives me anxiety.
As does my dad, and my grand father died from a motorcycle accident. Scary stuff! 😭 -ash.
Don't forget that lane splitting is also illegal in most U.S. States. California has no law against it, so technically it's legal to lane split.
jtmar I thought it was specifically legal in California and elsewhere in the USA, depending on where you go, it’s either entirely illegal or there are no laws against it.
"That was a nice car, but not anymore." lol

These videos bring back the memory of losing my fiance just over a year ago, there's not a day that I that is not seared into my brain, I hardly sleep at night because every time I close my eyes I relive that day
I'm sorry for your loss 😭😭😭
I lost it when Ashtyn said by 9:26
AS A FORMER TRUCK DRIVER I CAN TELL YOU THAT THE CAR IN THE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE HE PUSHED HIM OFF THE ROAD WAS DUE TO THE CAR BEING IN THE TRUCKS BLINDSIGHT.. he is at fault yes but the car should not have been driving at the distance to stay in his blindspot.. so as a rule for all four wheel cars when driving around trucks remember there are areas on truck that the driver can not see you so pass him or fall behind him but NEVER remain on the sides of trucks
Some of these piss me off so much.
How did any of them pass their test i don't know, especially the UK ones, we have the hardest test
Ashtyn: "what are you people doing, use your brain"

it's like 50% Russians lol
Aye, but because there almost all cars have dashcams

Russia insurance requires you to have a dash cam, otherwise, you pay for any damages, also RULES of the road are more of a suggestion over there.
Why would you want to leave Minnesota, Minnesota is awesome?!! Most of these videos are in Russia because everybody's got a dash cam over there. Usually if it's somewhere else it'll specify where, because there are some form the U.S. Opa, (no idea how to spell that) is a Greek word, but it may be spoken in other places too, I have no idea.
That one where you said "why would you even turn right there"? - it wasn't a dual carriageway/one way street, the car filming it was speed-overtaking all the traffic.
As for the headlights one, the other cars were all parked!
I pretty much had the same reaction as Ashtyn throughout the video. Reminds me of a saying, something about... an ounce of prevention...?
Does anyone know where the clip at 9:52 took place??
Hope you guys don't have drivers licences! At 3:48 and onward for a few clips, you are correct. Those are not icy conditions. THOUGH, in HIGH SPEED, if you jerk turn the SLIGHTEST, your car WILL flip. The fact that you don't know this already is astonishing.
Opa = whoa like, expression of shock but has other uses too, in the video its shock/suprise
Stroke, passing out, or in my car accident just blackout with loss of memory
As Tommy Lee Jones once said in Men in Black, "A person is smart, people are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know that."
I think the most often heard words in this video are "ebat", then "pizdets", "oppa", "ni huya sebe". Russian driving: when you are too bad-ass for braking, using mirrors or following rules in general.
13:25 It's called adrenaline.

How does this happen? people fall asleep or are checking a txt msg and crash their car. They call it distracted driving. You would be surprised to know just how often it happens.
5:28 OMG I saw that in Singapore, when I was going back home in a taxi. Unfortunate that my first reaction was not to pull out my phone and take pics :(
