The vet said she should have all her teeth removed & even that doesn't always cure it! And, I have to go to a specialist & he's over an hour away. For now I take her to the local vet & she gets 3 shots(an antibiotic, a steroid, & a pain shot) every 4 or 5 weeks. She is hard for me to catch & she will hide. I tricked her today by opening the door & letting her look out the screendoor, then I grabbed her. It's $128 for the shots. Right now it helps her so we'll just keep giving the shots. I wish I took my others in for preventative care but I can't afford it. One has bad tartar build up but she was so freaked out about getting spayed that when I attempt to put her in a cage, she hyperventilated so badly, I had to let her out of the cage. I thought she was gonna die! Wish I had a cage like one of yours. Glad your kitties are doing well!
When they reach 12+, my kitties go to the vet every year. Before that, if they’re healthy, it’s every 2 years unless they have a medical event (like breaking a claw badly). The trip is stressful for them so I want to minimize it as much as possible. My Siamese is 16 and because he had a tumour in his belly, he goes every 6 months or so for follow ups.
I'd assume for most people (I live in the US) it's so expensive. and in my area, all but one have horrible reviews. and even that one with gold reviews recently "accidentally" killed my cat by what I assume is overdosing anesthesia. if it was at a lower cost, I'm sure people would. a typical checkup at my local vet is about $300+. just like any business in America, money comes first, caring for their patients come second. it is a business after all. I'm sure the people working there truly want to help, but it's just too much. (and I'm sure employees get an employee discount, at least according to Google). I really only go to the vet unless my cats are showing signs of distress, or changes in behavior, which I assume is what the average person does as well. plus, car rides are insanely stressful for them. there's no real reason to put them through that, unless there was a real reason. a checkup is kinda like a sanity check in my opinion.
@@sakuranbochanko I'm not a professional but I'd assume that only taking them to the vet when they show signs of distress might be an issue if they develop illnesses or issues that might not have external symptoms or signs you can easily notice (and that a vet might). Or when the issue has a very subtle effect on their behaviour that you might not notice (like pichi and her tooth). When I had a cat the recommendation was to take her once a year for annual checkups, or some regular time like that. But like you said, vet care is so expensive, that it really is enough to just do what you can. Better to have a cat and provide them the healthcare you can afford than let them languish in shelters unadopted. And if they seem happy, it's probably alright.
@@pamelajohnson7813 2 of my cats had early deaths because of Stomatitis (both adopted from shelters who lied and told us the cats were healthy). The vet told us it's a bacterial infection and/or an immune response by the cats body. often it's caused by poor dental care (gingivitis). I highly suggest you do what you can for your cats dental health, as well as look into giving kelp powder (there is a brand called Plaque Off which is designed for pets). Also know that steroids and pain shots will only last so long, and it will stop working. We managed to medicate and treat one of our cats for 4 years until the vet said there was nothing more that could be done.
I almost cried seeing Pichi cuddled up with all the cats. She's had such a journey. So rewarding to see her so calm and happy and loved. Happy to know she's not dealing with her toothpain anymore.
same here. sweet Pichi was probably feeling misunderstood. I donno why I relate so hard with her. I'm glad she is feeling better now, it can make a world of difference
Poor Pichi. I've been having tooth pain for ages but I have an appointment in a week and I think they'll wanna rip out so many teeth... it's terrifying. So glad Pichi isn't in pain anymore. 💛
I am always amazed (and a little heartbroken) for our friends who run a vet clinic in Canada. They know every trick in the book to try to bring costs down so animals can live happy full lives, but it's still hard to get a visit below $100 CAD and if the animal is sick...I wish their expenses could be like Japan. I sit there knowing they are not charging for the actual vet exam half the time.
I love how that entire time Poki was near his fellow street cat friend encouraging her like "Great StarClan Pichi going in the basket is super easy, barely an inconvenience."
Pichi licking Rachel's hand made me so happy! I'm glad she found you guys and I'm glad you guys found Poki so he could show her that she can lower her guard and nobody will hurt her.
My cat(Truffle) and I spent many nights together watching your videos. We loved watching your cats and your content, and Truffle was encapsulated while watching Haku, Nagi, and Poki. She passed away a few weeks ago from a tumor, but I want to thank you for the memories. We have really enjoyed your content together.
Pan and I use to watch this channel together.. I am so sorry for your loss. Hope you will love more cats asap because there are many that need this kind of love. And TYSM for loving Truffle 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Not me sobbing over how cozy and comfortable Pichi is all snuggled up right in the center of all the boys. Thinking about how she was living outside being warmed by a bigdangerous fan unit of some kind- and now she is here, safe and sound and recieving more love than she could ever imagine.
of COURSE Nagi is the healthiest, he's just such a goooood boi!! and looking at Pichi, cuddeling with the other cats and letting both Jun and Rachel pet her, she's like a completely new cat. I would definitly love an update video on the little angel
ohhh Pichi hiding under Poki was just so cute😭💖 i am so glad she's not in pain anymore! and they all look so happy in their cozy fluff sleeping party!!!
Don’t feel horrible about the “not noticing” about her teeth. You DID notice, because you said you thought she was getting more skittish again. All we can do as pet parents is take our pets to the vet regularly and even then the vet may miss something. That kitty’s life is so much better thanks to you! Just remember that! You do the right thing making sure they get to the vet and pay for their treatment! ❤
I'm actually quite shocked how reasonable Japan's vets are with their pricing. In my country blood tests alone (IDEXX SDMA & CBC) costs around $200. A vet visit can cost anywhere from $40 to $60, that excludes any form of diagnostics (x-ray / ultrasound). I'm impressed with the thorough tests they did on your cats. Thank you for taking such good care of your cats. All your cats are cute 😻 But I've got a soft spot for Poki 🐈⬛💚
The prices were shockingly low compared to America. At first, I thought the total on one page was $1400 and I thought that was reasonable. But it was $140! What?!
We just paid $304 to put our sweet kitty down. It makes no sense, why it costs so much, and it's not like we had a choice. Every time we walk in the door, it's at least $150 for each animal, any treatment multiplies the cost exponentially. I'm thrilled that Rachel and Jun have access to wonderful care for their babies!
It was so great seeing Pichi in that cuddle puddle in the end. She didn't even jump when Jun pet her! I'm so happy for your happy kitty family. I lost my beautiful 15 year old Ivan suddenly on Nov 1st, and for the first time in a very long time, I am catless. Please give your babies forehead kisses from me, if they enjoy forehead kisses.
seeing Pichi actually lay there and give you a kiss while you pet her is just so heartwarming to me! I still remember the video from when you first caught her and brought her home and how scared she was, and just seeing how far she has come makes me so happy!
wow me too, but my two girls both have absorptive lesions so they will each lose multiple teeth. here in Virginia each one will cost about $1.500 US dollars.
@@ginger_e That's about the SAME price as we pay here in Southern CA. With the labs, extractions, follow-up, meds and laser used for healing, it is money well-spent to extend their lives and also to improve their quality of life. 😊
@@neko7606 Depends on the quality of the Vet and how much is done. Including the full, pre-op labs, multiple extractions and follow-up meds, that is a fair price.
I work in the vet industry in the US and this video was a dream come true - your kitties and vet care! ❤️ Was so excited to see the dental water additive - I noticed an improvement in my kiitties’ teefies when we started using something similar! Also - cats are CRAZY good at hiding pain and disguising it as fear, aggression, etc etc. Don’t feel bad about Ms. Pichi - now y’all have a good idea of what pain for her could look like AND she seems so much more comfortable!
It's a bit like my cat. He hates being in the car and he almost sounds like Poki through the whole trip. It breaks my heart hearing him trying his best to sound like he's dying 😅But the only time I really worry is when he's quiet. Then I know it's actually serious. 😟
I wish they all have a long healthy lives and always be happy. I just realised Haku is a really big cat when he lays next to Pichi. Like Rachel always says ‘ He is such a big boy’ They are all so ADORABLE when they all cuddle up together. Awe my heart. 🥰
As a veterinary receptionist I'm amazed at how low the cost was for all 4. For a dental cleaning it's typically about 1/4 of what you paid for that complete visit. I'm just happy that your kitties are healthy and you are not charged an outrageous amount for their care.
You don't have to feel bad for not noticing Pichi's discomfort. Cats are extremely good at hiding any pain or sickness, and I would assume Pichi is especially good at it since she was feral before you took her in.
as a vet technician its pretty interesting to see the different vet practices in other parts of the world. Also, wow that's honestly so cheap for 4 cats with all the stuff being done! easily would have cost thousands more in the US. Also it makes my heart melt every time i see Pichi with the other cats
How you said that Pichi was so jumpy because she was in pain, and she licked you in reassurance like 'it's okay, I forgive you'... Man, it almost brought me to tears!
After hearing that Haku is already 9 years old, I do be getting hit on the face with some nostalgia, I can’t believe it’s already been been 4-5 years since I first stumbled upon rachel and jun’s video about haku being a weird kitten ;; Glad to see him still so healthy and very haku for all these years with the other bois (and girl) ❤
I am crying American tears of envy at how affordable you guys have it ;_; I really want to check my cat's heart murmur and have a plaque removal for her, but *just visiting* the vet is ~$150. Getting a heart scan was estimated to be $500, and that's if I go cheap and get the x-rays from vet students 😭
Wow, you spent quite a bit of money but services are so much less expensive in Japan than in the States. NGL, 8:56 and 13:01 made me tear up a little at how content and safe Pichi feels now. Thank you, Rachel and Jun, for rescuing Poki and Pichi and for loving and caring for all four of your fur babies. Happy Thanksgiving!
I literally grew up with Poki hahahah, i was in 15 when you rescued Poki and now im literally out in the adult world working for that money. How fast times flies! Thank you for sharing your life with us Rachel and Jun. Love you guys always and always stay healthy 💛💛💛 ps i teared a bit when you talked about how Haku is already 7 years old already. It remind me of my cat back in the hometown
That's the scary thing about pets, they don't always show when they're hurting, so it can be difficult to know when something is going on. Really happy Pichi is feeling much better, enough to even snuggle with the other cats and allow you to touch her! What an amazing transformation 🥰
I'm studying hematology right now for an MLT (medical lab tech) program and I had to pause at 8:01 to read the results of Pichi's bloodwork. Her hemoglobin and hematocrit are a little high, but the indices are still within acceptable ranges, and her platelets are a low. IDK what the rest of the results mean, but I'm just proud that I can read both the bloodwork and the japanese. :D Edit: SHE'S LICKING HER
Pichi is so much better! Don't feel bad, we know cats hide pain so it's hard to figure out what's behind some behaviours. Now you can be happy with her relaxed attitude! Progress! Your lovely boys are just fine and dandy, everyone is looking good. 🥰💖🇨🇦
Poki's yells make me happy I just spent close to 2000$ to get one cat their checkup and teeth cleaned. They were supposed to remove some problem teeth but I guess the vet doing the cleaning disagreed and is happier with them getting cleaned every year (my cat is in pain because of it frequently). I am so jealous of this care, it seems like such a dream
Nooo ! Rachel, don't feel bad about Pichi's teeth, she couldn't tell you, you could not know and thanks to your dedication to catch her and bring her to the vet, she feels much better !♥ You are doing a great job. If you let guilt take place, you will spoil Pichi and feed her too much of Jun's kitty-cake and they will be chonky cats ! Chonkitty! ... Wait, I lost the point of this comment somewhere. And well done with catching your cats in such a big house : it is like changing the video game setting from normal to extra hard. ^^
I'm so glad Pichi seems to be doing so much better with the teeth removal, I can't imagine the relief going from "my mouth hurts so much that I don't want anything to do with anyone" (jumping at your touch when she could see you going in for the pets) to "cuddle puddles and I'll even let you pet me and groom your hand for you while you're at it". She really is like a whole new cat from when you got her. So glad she ended up with people who are doing their best to do the best they can for her. As much as she lets you, lol. Maybe one day she'll learn to be less opposed to nail trimming and teeth brushing, haha
I adore all your cats, but have a bit of a thing for Pichi. Was great to see so much of her. That furbabie puddle near the end with Pichi in the prime spot was divine. So happy that they're well. Love to you all from Australia.
I want Poki's meowing as my phone's ring tone! 🧡 You're amazing cat parents; I wish every cat was well cared for as yours. And Pichi! Wow, such progress. Rachel, are you going to rescue or foster cats? You're a dab hand at it. 🥰
Right now we've got our four plus a community cat that came with the land (Rin-chan) who we've informally adopted as well. I'd like to do rescues in the future too but I want to make sure I can handle it all before taking on more!
The progress you've made with Pichi is really amazing! She is a lucky kitty, to have been rescued and treated so kindly and loved so well. Heartwarming.
I had a similar issue with my dog. We get our yearly check ups and I knew one tooth had gone bad. It wasn’t til they did X-rays that we realized how bad they truly were. I felt so bad but even my vet had no idea til the X-rays. The important thing is that they are taken care of now and she’s feeling better! Please send my ❤ to Pichi. I have two feral girls as well. And it’s always been so nice to see Pichi open up too!
The love the two of you have for your cats always makes me feel so much better about life. The emotion in Rachel's voice when she was talking about Pichi's teeth was drenched in love and made my heart hurt (but in the good way)
My cat Luca had been behaving weirdly and we took him to the vet and they said it was nothing. But we got home and I realised it was his teeth and they'd just never checked? I'm glad your vets are doing a great job! Also that shot of all four of them cuddled up made my heart melt!
the way rachel was praising nagi for being the goodest, healthiest boy. he seems like the angel child who is the role model for other siblings. Nagi going to workout was too funny. Also glad Pichi is feeling better. Thanks for the video
I loved seeing Pichi get out of the carrier - look how much she trusts you. I bet if this was a year ago, she'd have disappeared immediately and found something to hide under. Of course she doesn't want to go to the vet, but I think she knows now that the carrier doesn't mean she's about to be homeless again.
My cat recently had to be euthanised because she had pancreatic cancer, which is asymptomatic until the damage has already been done. I felt terrible that I didn't know she was so sick, but her blood tests showed her pancreatic function was perfectly normal just 2 weeks previously. I wish vets here did such in-depth annual tests, because they might have caught it earlier. She was 13 and a half, and I loved her so much. She was my baby. I try to remember that she had the best life she possibly could've had, because I did everything I could for her. Your cats also have a wonderful life. I'm sure Picchi and Poki are happy you saved them from the streets. 🐱💕
Seeing Pichi all cuddled up with everybody at the end actually made me emotional 😭 I just think about how she went from being a scared street cat- not knowing where her next meal would come from, and sleeping in the cold and the rain- to living probably the best life a kitty could ever ask for. ❤
Holy crap. For one of my cats doing all of what you did, it can easily cost 1,000-2,000$. And I have four cats. This is why I have to space out their vet visits so I can afford it! Dentals will be next year, and ouch, my wallet…. But you’re right, they really do deserve the best. If only I could take them to Japan for their checkups lol ;)
Oh my, they're all snuggled together! I did not know they would do that and I am so charmed! You are the best kitty-parents and I'm so happy all these little ones have you to care for them and love them.
I love all of your cats, but I have a major soft spot for pichi. I loft soft, sweet yet nervous kitties because when they open up and begin to trust you, it's so gratifying. My kitty (same breed as pichi) has so many boundaries I've had to learn over the years, as she has trauma from her first 6 months of life, and seeing her flourish makes me so proud- just like watching pichi's progress ❤️
This is probably the only instance where my two chaos cats are easier to handle than Rachel and Jun's pets. Both of mine love the carrier and jump in as soon as I put it down. They used to dislike them but then I put the carrier in the living room for a couple of days with treats inside until they saw it as nothing else but another piece of furniture to spread their scent on. Now they expect good things to happen when they get in, like treats.
Same thing I did, well we, technically, when we got our first pet, a maltipoo 🐩 We took him, when he was ready, of course, after all the vaccines and stuff, with us on lots of car rides 😉 so now, we realized, if we ask if he wants to go in the car, he doesn't hide or whimper cause he doesn't associate going to the car as only for vet stuff or grooming stuff. 😲
I am so happy you post this. People dont realise cat needs maintenance and regular care and check ups. Annual vaccination and just general vet checks to be sure they are healthy. I take my ex-stray in once a year for a general check up, vaccination and eventually schedule dentist appointment. Since he is probably some... inbred stray he has issues here and there. Super important to do annual check ups for your pets in general. If you can not or do not brush regularly the vets can fix them up to make sure they ste not in pain, it is more expensive than brushing teeth but sometimes it's super hard to do it. Thanks for spreading awareness of good care of pets! It's not cheap to have them, but it must be done and it is worth it. Lots of love from sweden!
Pichi has come so far since you adopted her. Just seeing lick your finger made me smile. And her sleeping berwwn the two boys is such a big change from when you first brought her into your lives. I can see they are all very happy cats.🙂.
A trick someone mentioned to me: keep the bags open normally so they can wander around and maybe use it. That way they're already comforable being in the bag, or at least near it.
It’s surprising how long we can go not noticing our cat’s pain! I’m very vigilant about changes in my cats but when my male cat was developing some health issues the transition was so slow that I didn’t notice his pain until he was verbally screaming at me! I was so sad after the treatment because he had gone back to his happy self and I realized how long he had been lower energy, his fur was different, and his need for attention was reduced. Don’t worry about not noticing Pichis teeth! All that matters is that you both are doing the absolute best as cat parents and sometimes we can’t heal them immediately but she’s in such a better place than where she came from and now she can experience a world without pain!
Pichi reminds me of 2 of my cats! One that was scared of us like pichi and now after getting her bad teeth out she's the sweetest and cuddliest cat ever 😭💕 and my other cat would only let me pet him cause I would avoid to touch his mouth at all cost(very visible mouth problem and very painful for him) had to have a all his teeth removed and now he gives kisses and let's everyone cuddle him and give him pets❤️ he's the happiest cat I've ever seen!
The end shot of Picchi in the middle of the cuddle pile with all the cats made me tear up. She has come so far and it is a testament to both of yours' dedication in making sure she is healthy and has a happy home.
For all that needed to be done, the pricing was so reasonable! I'm considering getting pet insurance for my boys because one of them is a stray, we've had him less than a year and we've had to take him in to the vet several times-- when I first started feeding him he had a massive partially burst abscess on his face that I couldn't do anything about until he trusted me enough to get him in a carrier. He needed two rounds of antibiotics and to have it lanced twice before it healed totally. He was really lucky though, as he started coming around the house when it was still really cold (late Jan/early Feb) so there were no insects that could get in and make it fester. We've *managed* to pay for things but my dad and I are both on limited income (he's retied, I'm disabled) ans insurance would take at least some of that financial burden off us. It was was, so sweet seeing Pichi curled up with everyone else, she's really settled in-- and I'm sure Poki has helped in that process, letting her know that you're both good humans, with lots of love to give!
The cost of vet care there insane! Tooth cleaning is like twice as much where I am, and a vet visit is like 50 minimum. Glad all of your kitties are safe and healthy, and I'm SO GLAD that Pichi is feeling better and more snuggly!

Rachel and Jun were truly the miracles she needed. It restores a little faith in humanity to see such loving people.
🥰
same here. sweet Pichi was probably feeling misunderstood. I donno why I relate so hard with her. I'm glad she is feeling better now, it can make a world of difference
Yes the cat cuddle puddle is so heartwarming I loved it !
Pichi has come lightyears from where she was, it makes me cry happy tears seeing her snuggle with all the cats and being petted 😭❤️❤️❤️
Don't forget licking Rachel's hand 🥺
@@balentay yes that means she loves Rachel.
@@dianaellul9345 How can you not?
Such a big step!!
Poor Pichi. I've been having tooth pain for ages but I have an appointment in a week and I think they'll wanna rip out so many teeth... it's terrifying.
So glad Pichi isn't in pain anymore. 💛
I’m a vet nurse and am astonished at the low cost 😳 where I am (Australia) a dental clean without extractions is $700 aud 😬
Same! I work as a vet nurse in Singapore and im astounded to hear an echo only costs $40??
bro in america that's 1K
I was a vet nurse and a dental clean can easily be 1k to 2k
I am always amazed (and a little heartbroken) for our friends who run a vet clinic in Canada. They know every trick in the book to try to bring costs down so animals can live happy full lives, but it's still hard to get a visit below $100 CAD and if the animal is sick...I wish their expenses could be like Japan. I sit there knowing they are not charging for the actual vet exam half the time.
Canada, i paid 2k for 4 teeth extractions, 1 was a fang, the other 3 were tiny tiny teeth on the side of this mouth.
Poki’s screams are a comfort to my soul.
I see it kinda as Poki choosing to be the loudest to assert dominance somehow.

@@LunaRayArclight Man, those books are so fun. I'm in my 40s and I still love them.
Pichi's going to need us to get all the way off her back. ;-)

Pichi licking Rachel's hand made me so happy! I'm glad she found you guys and I'm glad you guys found Poki so he could show her that she can lower her guard and nobody will hurt her.
I didn't realize Haku was old 😭 I need him to live forever! And I love that the goodest boy Nagi, has the healthiest body
Cats routinely live until 18-20 in Japan, so don't worry at all!
@@swish043 Most indoor cats live to that age, regardless of country
My cat is 13 and still spritely as hell! No worries, cats live pretty long lives when theyre well taken care of!
Ty everyone for the reassurance 😭 happy to hear our boy Haku will continue to live his best life
The way theyre happy and well taken care of is honestly a sign the cats might even outlive the usual age
Pichi and Haku cuddling is all I needed this holiday season 💝
Also shows off what a giant Haku is!
Nothing could bring me more joy right now.

Not me sobbing over how cozy and comfortable Pichi is all snuggled up right in the center of all the boys. Thinking about how she was living outside being warmed by a bigdangerous fan unit of some kind- and now she is here, safe and sound and recieving more love than she could ever imagine.
Pichi seems like a whole new cat! so much more relaxed and at ease.
of COURSE Nagi is the healthiest, he's just such a goooood boi!!
and looking at Pichi, cuddeling with the other cats and letting both Jun and Rachel pet her, she's like a completely new cat.
Same. When she listed the prices for teeth removal I was shocked! To remove two teeth here (Norway) would be around $400 alone!
The prices were shockingly low compared to America. At first, I thought the total on one page was $1400 and I thought that was reasonable. But it was $140! What?!
Lol a base vet visit here is like $90-150 so I'd be stoked at your prices (but yes JP is next level)
Yes! We paid $1500 for ONE cat’s checkup and teeth cleaning/extraction. What great prices they have in Japan!
Please give your babies forehead kisses from me, if they enjoy forehead kisses.
im so sorry for your loss
I think once Pichi got those teeth removed she felt so much better! She even got more comfortable with the other babies
So much better! My old man had to have all but 3 fangs out, and now when he wants attention *he bites me!*
seeing Pichi actually lay there and give you a kiss while you pet her is just so heartwarming to me! I still remember the video from when you first caught her and brought her home and how scared she was, and just seeing how far she has come makes me so happy!
The timing of this is impeccable. I JUST walked in the door from dropping my cat off at the vet for a teeth cleaning & grooming under sedation too!
wow me too, but my two girls both have absorptive lesions so they will each lose multiple teeth. here in Virginia each one will cost about $1.500 US dollars.
Pichi: meow
Rachel: Pichi are you okay? U traumatized?
Poki: MEOW DRAMATICALLY
Rachel: Pfff u just hungry
Lol
Poki simply has one setting: hungry
Poki: Scream meowing repeatedly
Rachel and Jun: Oh good, he's normal
There are two kinds of people.
Like Rachel always says ‘ He is such a big boy’
They are all so ADORABLE when they all cuddle up together.

Thank you for the timing because I'm having the absolutely worst day and just immediately hearing Poki scream really helped :')

As a veterinary receptionist I'm amazed at how low the cost was for all 4. For a dental cleaning it's typically about 1/4 of what you paid for that complete visit. I'm just happy that your kitties are healthy and you are not charged an outrageous amount for their care.
So cute to see Pichi cuddling in a cat pile. Thank you for rescuing her.
Add me to the list of people whose hearts were melted by the shot of Pichi sleeping in a protective puddle of lorge boys.
I first read log boys and it was oddly fitting
You don't have to feel bad for not noticing Pichi's discomfort. Cats are extremely good at hiding any pain or sickness, and I would assume Pichi is especially good at it since she was feral before you took her in.
as a vet technician its pretty interesting to see the different vet practices in other parts of the world. Also, wow that's honestly so cheap for 4 cats with all the stuff being done! easily would have cost thousands more in the US. Also it makes my heart melt every time i see Pichi with the other cats
I loved seeing how much confidence pichi has now. Seeing her lick you and accept pets is so heart warming
I'm amazed by how much Pichi changed after just one checkup at the vet! So wonderful to see her show so much love to the her brothers.
AWWWW all 4 cats snuggling together was the sweetest! The 3 bros protecting their baby sister~ ❤❤❤❤
Oh my gosh you’re right! My heart 🥹
How you said that Pichi was so jumpy because she was in pain, and she licked you in reassurance like 'it's okay, I forgive you'...
Man, it almost brought me to tears!
After hearing that Haku is already 9 years old, I do be getting hit on the face with some nostalgia, I can’t believe it’s already been been 4-5 years since I first stumbled upon rachel and jun’s video about haku being a weird kitten ;;
Glad to see him still so healthy and very haku for all these years with the other bois (and girl) ❤
The final shot with Pichi face down in all the fluff, she's truly living the life
It's so nice to see Pichi being more relaxed. Seeing her be more snuggly and out in the open makes me happy.
“You’re so loud, and bumpy, and weird!” Summing up why we love that weird little gremlin 🥰
Love seeing how comfortable Pichi is now! ❤
I am crying American tears of envy at how affordable you guys have it ;_; I really want to check my cat's heart murmur and have a plaque removal for her, but *just visiting* the vet is ~$150. Getting a heart scan was estimated to be $500, and that's if I go cheap and get the x-rays from vet students 😭
my rabbit's vet quoted $650 here in the northeast US for a spay, holy moly
I had the same experience!!! I had to pay 500 to get my kitty's heart murmur checked!
@@radicaledward8969 I did that just yesterday and it ended up being $584 💀

Wow, you spent quite a bit of money but services are so much less expensive in Japan than in the States. NGL, 8:56 and 13:01 made me tear up a little at how content and safe Pichi feels now. Thank you, Rachel and Jun, for rescuing Poki and Pichi and for loving and caring for all four of your fur babies. Happy Thanksgiving!
Same here in Finland. It is about 300 euros per bloodwork *sigh*.
I literally grew up with Poki hahahah, i was in 15 when you rescued Poki and now im literally out in the adult world working for that money. How fast times flies! Thank you for sharing your life with us Rachel and Jun. Love you guys always and always stay healthy 💛💛💛
ps i teared a bit when you talked about how Haku is already 7 years old already.
Edit: SHE'S LICKING HER
I know the feeling! In the beginning it's like "Wow, I can actually use what I learn in the real world! 😲" It's so cool 😀
Pichi is so much better! Don't feel bad, we know cats hide pain so it's hard to figure out what's behind some behaviours. Now you can be happy with her relaxed attitude! Progress! Your lovely boys are just fine and dandy, everyone is looking good. 🥰💖🇨🇦
Poki's yells make me happy
I just spent close to 2000$ to get one cat their checkup and teeth cleaned.

Right now we've got our four plus a community cat that came with the land (Rin-chan) who we've informally adopted as well. I'd like to do rescues in the future too but I want to make sure I can handle it all before taking on more!
You have made a miracle. From when & were you found her to today her being in the middle of her brothers. With the best mom & dad
I'm so glad Pichi is doing so well! The other cats are still as goofy as ever, and I'm happy you guys are doing great too!
The progress you've made with Pichi is really amazing! She is a lucky kitty, to have been rescued and treated so kindly and loved so well. Heartwarming.
Pichi using Poki as a guard was adorable.
Video opens, Poki: mreeeow.
Me: my day is made.
Considering he didn't have breakfast this was quite a subdued miaow, wasn't it?
She's mentioned that they lower the volume of his meows when editing the videos. I still want a full volume Poki meow video 😅
Pichi in the cuddle pile with her three brothers just warmed my heart right up on this cold cold day!
Peachy and Poki being soulmates always makes my day better
The way Rachel loves that dumpster cat 😺🤣
So it was Pichi's teeth all along 🥺
I'm so glad seeing her comfortable around you and the other cats now!
I love your 3 cats....and your vacuum cleaner
That last shot of all of them together is one of my favourites ever 😻💕😽 They are so damn cute!
When Pichi licked your hand I wanted to cry. She's come so far from when y'all first found her!

Poki’s yelling meows are the highlight of every video you make 😄🖤 give your 4 sweeties some treats on behalf of your subscribers 🥰
Omg poor pichi! You could see how much more friendly and affectionate she was after having her sore teeth removed!
