Revolution Plus for fleas and ear mites! It's the best and only flea medicine I'll put on my cats. HEPA vacuum and make sure you empty it outside of the house if it isn't a bagged vacuum. They have high weave pillow protectors that aren't as hot as the synthetic fiber ones, I just double up on them and have the cotton one on the outside plus change pillowcase often. I'm not sure if they prescribe antihistamine for cats, but that might help for flareups. I used to get huge itchy wheals randomly and now I know it was probably from overload of dust mite allergens. The whole house clean likely helped a lot and now it's maintenance! This video is so relatable 🙃
See if you can find Revolution for cats, it covers ear mites so that will help out out with Poki’s ears. Also, what is your humidity like inside the house? Mites love high moisture environments; maybe decreasing it a bit will help.

You guys are the most responsible cat owners I've ever seen. The lengths you've gone to to try and help Poki are incredible. You got extensive testing and vet visits, 5 air purifiers, 2 roombas, and are cleaning like crazy when some cat owners wouldn't even do anything. Your cats are incredibly lucky to have such good owners 💕
Poor people love their furbabies and can not afford even food monthly. Please nobody say pet caregivers don't care as much. It hurts to think people believe we do not care as much as a couple on RUclips. I do and kitty is my family 😭🤍🌹🇨🇦
My kitty is 18 (I edited her age before typo, sorry... 🥴). I would give her anything but not well off living on a disability pension. But I take care of her. I need her and love her every day telling her I love and cherish her. God gave her to me to love and steward while in my care. My family and little girl always a kitten in my heart. We in return sustain us both in companionship til she goes to heaven. 😭🤍🤍🤍
It's great that they are. It's made easier for them as well since prices are more reasonable then in America especially. That isn't to diminish them. This is to say our country should make things easier for our people so I have the OPPORTUNITY to give pets vet checks a quarter as much.
Rachel is such a caring Cat mom. Good thing you went for that testing. Don't blame yourself for not doing it earlier, it's not your fault. Can't change the past.
I mean you trust what doctors say and if the doctor says a test is pointless it sounds right. I feel so bad for Poki going through all of this and he's severely allergic to one of the most common and difficult to control pests. Also can we please take note of Pichi rolling around on the floor? That's just sweet and shows she really trusts now.
@@glenngriffon8032 and jumping up into Rachel’s lap for purry cuddles right after her bath! Such a sweet little girl Pichi is- she just needed lots of love and patience and that’s exactly what she got from Rachel and Jun, and especially from Poki. I’m so glad she ended up with such a great family.
@@glenngriffon8032 and to be fair, considering that they're microscopic pests that are near impossible to get rid of, and he could still be allergic to something else as well... the vets probably weren't entirely wrong. Minimizing the mites will hopefully help, and feels good because there's more directed action they can take, but its a near impossible battle for most households so I don't blame the vets for saying "this isn't super helpful information" (especially if the tests are particularly expensive). Luckily Rachel and Jun have a lot more time and resources that they can dedicate to sterilizing everything and trying to minimize mites.
I love that Pichi knows that even after you guys do something that is new and scary for her, she is still safe with you and able to relax and find warmth in your lap. She is such a brave girl I love her so much!
I was allergic to dust mites as a kid. What really helped back then was that my parents eventually got a vacuum cleaner that filtered the air through water. We got to the conclusion that normal vacuuming will just redistribute a lot of the very fine dust around the house because it gets through the normal air filters in the vacuum cleaner.
Pro tip from a pet groomer, put a towel down in the bathtub, they feel so much more secure having something under their paws, also look for an ear protection while drying, I cannot recommend happy hoodie enough. Many of my kitty clients are so much more calm when they are on their ears and head. Try to look up girl with the dogs, she's an awsome pet groomer and has a lot of videos bathing cats and other pets.
omg that face close up of pichi after her bath is peak "miserable, pathetic wet beast" vibes. seeing pichi's slow transition from super fearful kitty to shy house cat is so wonderful. the fact you can scoop her up and she loafed in your lap makes my heart so happy
As a member of the vet field, it amazes me how people can range from Rachel and Jun who will do anything and everything to help their pets to people who get pissed at us when we say “no, we’re not gonna surgically remove the distal bones of your cats paws (de-clawing) because you don’t like that they scratch furniture.”
@@pencilcheck, in their old apartment, they had to get special trash cans to keep Poki *out* of them. Calling him a trash goblin isn’t an insult, it’s a statement of fact. Kind of like Poki yelling. And when does he yell? Every day ending in Y.
Pichi is starting to overcome her trauma of being abandoned before you two rescued her. She is taking steps on her own level to show that she reciprocates your care.
In case this is useful for Poki (bc my cat is also allergic to dust mites), my vet recommended that we freeze kibble so that dust mites die, as well as giving my cat mostly canned wet food (no dust mites there!). My cat is also on meds and we removed all the carpets, but she was at a point where she was so itchy because of her allergies that she was literally tearing her skin off
I did not know that dust mites could be on kibbles! Thanks for the tip! My cats are older now & mostly eat wet food, but I think I'll start freezing their kibble to be safe. I hope Rachel and Jun see your post! Something my vet told me is to use the flea comb on my cats once daily, because it pulls up a lot of dirt and dust from their fur that other combs and brushes miss.
as someone with a dust mite allergy, shaking out any pillowcases and blakets outside is great. it is always worse when they are "flying around", so trying to avoid shaking anything inside might help. also, cleaning UNDER and on top of furniture is always a big help, i don't know how well the roomba reaches there. otherwise, freezing and cleaning any curtains is a must and actually airing out pillows and other furniture may be good. i'm thinking especially on the cat tree and the climbing furniture migth be places that dust can accumulate. i also had a passing thought that some of the ccords used on the cat trees might be a source? but i'm not too sure about that.
It warms my heart to know that Jun and Rachel will move heaven and earth to make their cats happy, healthy, and safe. Every cat deserves to receive that kind of care and attention.
OMG POKI IS MY ALLERGY TWIN. When I got an allergy test, my dust mite test was literally higher than "histamine." I'm also allergic to cats but that doesn't stop me from having them... HEPA air filters everywhere and allergy meds every day. SIGH, I feel for you Poki.
this made me happy to read, i’m pretty allergic to some cats and others not so much but i’ve always been afraid i won’t be able to live with one… but i definitely have hope now! thanks!
@@livvylag look into hypoallergenic cat breeds :) While no cat is 100% hypoallergenic, there are some breeds that produce fewer allergens than others.
@@s.colins2050 Hairless cats actually aren't inherently hypoallergenic, because the allergy is caused by dander (dead skin cells) instead of fur. There are breeds that produce less dander, but the Sphynx is not one of them
I'm the same, allergic to dust mite and to cats (but no that much). I have 2 fat boys so... and also being on vaccine treatment for 1 and a half years now, plus daily levocetirizine... 🫠 oh and my epipen on hand....
I love how Pichi and Poki got close, he always helps calm her down and now she even lets you clip her nails and bath her, I'm so haapy to see her progress! She's very lucky to have found such caring parents
I hope Poki is doing alright Not going to lie, I burst out of laughing when both Pichi and Poki meow after Rachael said 'Your not going to like this' But their so good in the bath!
11:52 This is the cutest sight I have ever seen of the wonderful Majestic Trash-Kitty Poki, his tiny little paws holding onto Jun's hands while he calmly gets blow-dried is adorable and I love himb🥺🥺🥺
How did Poki survive outside with all of these allergies!? Less dust outside I guess? Omg Pichi's sad maows make me cry, and how Poki comes running over to check on her is so damn cute. She reminds me of one of my cats, our big lad Dave is always checking up on her.
Well he was in bad shape when we found him and he was only like ~6 months old, so either his allergies hadn't really developed yet or they were overshadowed by his other injuries. I don't remember seeing bald patches on his ears until a little later on, and he didn't start getting bumps until like 2-ish years ago (and I think he's 6 or 7 now?)
Honestly, Poki was quieter during bath time than when he's demanding food or attention xD. They were really good kitties with the bath! It's so nice to see Pichi handling it so well and even still going to sit on Rachel's lap afterwards (even if just because she's cold and Rachel is warm, lol), you guys have come so far with building trust with her. And it's always so wholesome to see Poki being proactive in doing what he can to assist and smooth human-Pichi interactions. It looks like he's telling Pichi everything will be okay and the humans are good humans. Hope that the baths and hyper-cleaning reduces dust mites and that Poki does better
As someone who is very allergic to dust mites as well, I feel so bad for Poki I feel his pain lol. Don't be too hard on yourself about the dustmites/cleaning. They are nearly impossible to get rid of unfortunately. But you're doing an incredible job at helping reduce their numbers.
I'm also allergic to flea bites, I get huge lumps on my skin when I had issues when I encountered them, so it can happen to humans too, dust mites is also something I have a issue with too
I feel for Poki. My poor cat child Brax had to have a similar test done for him. It turns out he was allergic to pretty much everything on the list including dust mites. Our doctors recommended 5mg of Zyrtec for him daily (he is 14lbs) The active ingredient is cetirizine. I am sure your vets already have him on some medications, but I just wanted to say the above just in case it may end up helping the poor dear. You guys are going above and beyond what most people would do. Poki is so lucky to have you all as a family. :)
Don't feel bad for throwing out suggestions. You never know what might be the solution. It's why people should always get a second opinion from a different doctor. Heck their vet said an allergy test would be pointless and the answer only came after they tried doing it anyway.
replying to this so maybe it will be seen. I don't have a cat with allergies. But I work for a cat-centric pet sitting company, and a couple clients who have cats with allergies, have put them on a drug called Apoquel. It's normally labelled towards dogs, but can be used off-label for cats. One caveat though is that both of these cats are the Devon Rex breed. But before going on Apoquel the cats had significant hair loss. Hair grew back after being on Apoquel for a while. So Piki's case is a bit different in that he gets these lumps...
4:03 Seeing Pichi rolling around like that makes me so happy! She’s come so far from the scared kitty she first was when you rescued her. It’s great to see how comfortable she’s become and how much she trusts you both now!
FINALLY PICHI HAS MORE AIR TIME! Poki such a joy to see him encouraging pichi. It is quite baffled he developed it when u guys moved out. I hope Poki gets thru his allergies and hope all ur dedication will pay off for the improvements soon!
Love how Poki just follows that unspoken rule of stray cats, that they survive "just fine" in the streets but the moment they set foot on a house they just get ALL THE PROBLEMS. 😅 My late cat was a cat from the streets and survived fine for 9 months on her own...to then get urinary problems for years no matter the food, and died of cancer in less than a year of finding it. My raised by birth between humans cat? Died of old age without any problem, just got too old and decided to go out at 14 years old. 😰 So sorry Poki has such fierce allergies, to the point of tumors. Poor baby just keeps on fighting, he never gives up, he has Rachel, Jun and his brothers (and sister!)! 💪😤 The carp that will transform in a dragon even if he has to meow his way to the top of the waterfall!
It's not that they got all the problems when they found a home, more like they're never getting proper treatment so it's normal for them to need a lot of medical treatments later on. Also there probably isn't enough people paying attention when they're living as strays
@@CaeciliaPurnamasari Though, it looks more like Poki developed allergies, Rachel and Jun when filming poki never spoke a about it and he never looked like he had weird lumps.
@@qwmx But he's probably hugely allergic to that suite of allergens (mites and fleas) BECAUSE he had a ton of exposure to fleas and maybe ticks when he was on the streets. He probably wouldn't be that reactive to dust mites if he didn't have a history with fleas.
I never expected to see Pichi sitting on your lap like that, she is such a credit to you two as cat owners. And poor Poki! I hope things get better for him.
Ahaha I feel Poki's pain 😭 I got an allergy test back in middle school and just about every single thing on the sheet turned out to be something I was allergic to: oak trees, dust, mold, mangos, horse and cattle, hamsters?? Everything ✨
The day will come when Poki defends food for Pichi, it's clearly not today, but someday it will happen. They make such a cute couple, they have REALLY bonded to each other.
Rachel's reaction to the dust mite is very accurate to how i feel living with dust allergies 😂 before i started taking daily anti allergy meds i was an absolute mess for years. And even now i still have random times i feel worse! Like how is this fair? Dust is literally EVERYWHERE
im lucky mine arent very severe but man when spring comes and it combines w my pollen allergy the struggle is real 😩 daily allergy meds suck but they rly do help
Luckily my dust allergies aren't to bad but I feel for those who have it worse 😢 if you find your bedding is bad, I would highly recommend eucalyptus oil spray. Just a few drops of essential oils in a spray bottle of water, spray on your mattress, pillows and duvet and let it air dry. It smells great and kills both the bugs and eggs
I'm a vet from Australia and I am very impressed with your commitment to your cats!!!😻. They are so lucky to have found such wonderful owners. I love watching your videos.
Just figuring out things little by little is still better than never figuring anything out :) Honestly as long as Poki is a happy, screaming boy, I'm happy 🥰
Poor Pichi, she had to listen to her best friend being tortured and drowned and knowing that she was next. 🙀 Also, Pichi and Poki are so cute together.
Poki and Peachi meowing with the bath is so funny to me 😂🥺 I love them so much. Little babies. Nagi being like "You have to smell like ME sister" and Peachi being like N O is so precious also,, can we talk about Peachi being a mocha calico 🥺🥺 That's so cute and rare!! I had no idea!
I have a disorder that makes me allergic to everything and I've all but given up on reducing dust mites. You're right, it's so difficult! But you have gone above and beyond for Poki and I applaud you and your efforts to make your Trash Panda Cat comfortable and happy 😊
Our kitty was often itching really bad - enough that he’d accidentally scratch himself in the eyes - but once we switched him off kibble he got SO much better. We never dreamed kibble could have mites in it but now he’s on wet food he put on 3 pounds and his coat is so glossy and he only itches occasionally. We clean more often too which helps but the switch to wet food only was instantaneous relief for him. Something to consider! You’re wonderful pet parents and it’s always a delight to hear Poki’s loud meows 😄🖤🤍🖤
@@TheFirstAntarie We thought that too! But we tried so many different kibbles, and the vet ruled out stuff like wheat allergies and celiac, so we tried different storage containers and storage methods until just giving up and feeding hum only wet food. It's still so weird to us since this has never happened to us before had but the vet says it's possible it was just the mites and our cat is unusually sensitive to them 🤷🏼♀
Allergies can be a pain. My cat had the same issues as poki (minus the tumors) and it turns out she's allergic to almost all forms of animal protein. Since cats are obligate carnivores, this was pretty bad news. Fortunately she has no reaction to insect protein, so she's on a cricket based kibble now and her skin looks fantastic 😊
man i wonder what you’d have to feed your cat if insect wasn’t an option? that’s crazy… ig maybe you would have vet prescribed supplements for what they need??? idek

Poor Poki, but this is a great video! It really helps to see what you've been doing to support your cats just in case we have similar issues with our tuxedo cat.
I remember when my cat was diagnosed with diabetes in November last year and I had to change our whole routine of feeding and add measuring her blood sugar. Luckily she was as patient with me as I was with her when I was poking her ear to measure the blood sugar. Then a month later she had her first stroke and I had to change our routine again completely. I have built cat stairs to help her reach her favorite spots and made everything cat safe, since she couldn't walk properly anymore. I even cleaned her fur by hand and brushed it thoroughly everyday. She had such nice fur for a middle aged kitty. Sadly two months ago she had her second stroke and now she watches me from above. You two are such great cat parents it warms my heart.
It's amazing how comfortable Pichi is around you guys now. I still remember when she was rescued and how skittish she was for the longest time. I'm glad she is now able to enjoy some love and attention without fear
We had a sickly cat who was allergic to fish oil... Which was in just about every cat food in existence. She never got too healthy, but she did stop having allergic reactions once we got the right food.
Pichi omigosh I'm so proud of her 😭💞she's come along so far and I love seeing her sitting on your lap and being vocal and okay with being held! She's so cute when you're clipping her nails 🥺 (also watching Nagi aggressively hug everything while on catnip is absolutely hilarious). I hope all of your hard work and efforts help with managing Poki's allergies! (at least to some degree, even if it's just a little!).
We used to have a golden retriever that was allergic to dust mites as well. He would get itchy hives all over his body. Thankfully switching him to different food and cleaning more regularly helped a lot
Pichi reminds me so much of my sister's littlest cat. She's been with her and her husband for 8 years and she's still learning how to cat. It's considered a blessing when she sits near/on you.
Poki is such a good partner to pichi. He always knows when she’s upset and he goes and comforts her which is so freaking cute, although his love for food is greater than anything 😂💜
Get better soon Poki!! And I’m so happy to see how well Pichi has settled into the house and furmily! She’s comfortable enough to be handled by both of you, even to the point of taking a bath! 👏
I've said this before, but I am SO glad Poki exists and you guys talk about his foibles because I would have been at a complete hecking loss to deal with my own too-smart chaos gremlin when he came along. Thankyou so much for existing!!
One of my cats is also allergic to mites... it's mostly storage mites that are in basically all food that has any type of grain or other dried vegetables. :/ Now we feed her purely foods made of meat only and it's been getting so much better. We would have never known without the test! I'm so, so happy you got the test done for Poki and that you know what was up now ❤
Me, my dad and our dog are all allergic to dust mites. Welcome to the club, Poki. 😅 Luckily air purifiers and frequent changes of blankets/bedding are helping a lot in our case. The dog has to be bathed every couple weeks too, otherwise he gets itchy. Hopefully Poki can get around that part haha. Love all the effort you're putting into getting his allergies under control. ❤
So sorry to hear Poki has all these allergies, but what a relief to finally know what might be at the root of everything! It's wonderful to see how caring and diligent you two are - there are people who do less for their actual human children than you do for your cats and I think everyone could learn a thing or two from how seriously you take the care of your pets 💞
I can relate to Poki. The dust mite allergies got worse when I got older. Gotta clean the sides of walls and furniture just in case Poki rubs up against them. Dust can accumulate on artificial plants, boxes, and pretty much any surface.
awww, pichi is such a good girl. I always enjoy seeing people working with their skittish cats instead of scaring them by making it happen without any encouragement or anything. you guys seem to be doing great with her tho
Hi, i don't know if you will read this now, but i work with beds and bedding. Poki's allergies and the sweating in bed could be 'fixed' with wool duvets. it's not perfect, but it's most mite unfriendly. They don't sit in wool as it regulates the temperature (therefore no warm sports to hide) and won't keep in moisture. getting rid of mites is a pain because they are basically everywhere, every bit of furniture with fabric.. unlucky. you are already doing a lot to help him, so he for sure will be a very happy lil man! if you can afford to replace, or it is time to replace some things. get them fabric free if you can. its easier to clean and mites wont get in there. if you can zip up the cover of your mattress, maybe give that a wash too! best of luck!
I cannot believe that Poki and I have way more in common than just our habit of yowling for food and attention - poor boy, you really cannot avoid it as easily as food allergies, besides cleaning your home a few times every week and air purifiers. Does it cause him any respiratory problems? Since mine does aggravate my asthma, but going outside activates my hay fever and pollen allergies. Also bless you two for being such caring cat parents, I adore your content and I love your babies. Ever since I found the original Rachel and Jun channel over 7-8 years ago when I was still in school, you guys never fail to make me smile and laugh even when I am having a terrible day. Lots of love, and best wishes.
absolutely AMAZING how much progress pichi has made!!! i couldn't believe my eyes when you clipped her nails, she's so sweet and gentle and good. so wonderful that she has such a loving family taking care of her and making her feel comfortable and safe, and i'm so glad she has poki, too. it makes my heart so warm to see cats raised with such care.
Yall are such good pet parents!!! Pichii had opened up so so so so much more compared to when yall first got her. It makes me soooo happy to see that. And the fact that you were able to hold her to cut her nails???? legendary
Growing up I've had problems with dust mite allergies. One thing that really helped was putting pillows and stuffed toys in the freezer for some amount of time (2 or 3 days, don't quote me on that though). The dust mite poop (which was what I was actually allergic to) still had to be washed or brushed or shaken out, but it seemed to have worked well enough that my parents kept it in their cleaning routine as a viable alternative to the washing mashine. Also, you're great cat parents. Don't beat yourself up for what's in the past. All your cats love you and for a reason.
Poor Poki! I hope all your hard work helps him! Also, Pichi is so precious! I'm so glad you're her humans! My heart melted when she was on Rachel's lap!
Hey Rachel, watching you trim Poki's nails made me relize it was your video I saw years ago that is now how I always trim my cats' nails too. Sitting them on my lap like that has honestly been super helpful and I can't thank you enough for that demonstration.
I have a cat that I adopted who had very bad allergies. I'm going to tell you something I learned by process of elimination over time. She was actually allergic to chemicals including ....cleaning supplies. Now I use 100% natural hypoallergenic cleaning supplies and make sure she is not in the room when I'm cleaning. I can't spray perfume or any chemical when she's around. I keep her in the bedroom while I clean. Then wait about an hour and let her out, then clean the room I had her in.
Kneading a stomach is a very deeply rooted instinct. Kneading the mother cat's stomach is how the kittens encourage milk production and start the flow of milk when they are hungry.

Thanks for the tips!! I'll definitely try those next time
I cannot recommend girl with the dogs enough, her grooming videos and products are incredibly helpful
also recommend girl with dogs, she handles all sorts of cats, from the super spicy Mayo, to the trash goblin and everything in between.
@@RachelandJunAdventures Girls With the Dogs is a wonderful pet groomer. Heavily recommend her channel.
Question: Does happy hoodies work on deaf cats?
omg that face close up of pichi after her bath is peak "miserable, pathetic wet beast" vibes. seeing pichi's slow transition from super fearful kitty to shy house cat is so wonderful. the fact you can scoop her up and she loafed in your lap makes my heart so happy
14:22 The fact Poki specifically called Rachel over to watch him run so he could get a treat is adorable!
"Mom, I'm on the Wheel for Summoning Treats. This only works for summoning the food if you look at me, So come over quick."
Haha 😄
Hes such a smart food obsessed little guy
Even his meows sounded like him saying mom!
He demands an audience to watch him on the wheel, too cute ❤❤😂
As a member of the vet field, it amazes me how people can range from Rachel and Jun who will do anything and everything to help their pets to people who get pissed at us when we say “no, we’re not gonna surgically remove the distal bones of your cats paws (de-clawing) because you don’t like that they scratch furniture.”
oh god i got angray and sobbing by you mentioning the ppl that want de-clawing. Thank you sop much for refusing to do that !

Yes!
Trash goblin?
@@pencilcheck see some of the old videos, poki ends up in the trash can multiple times 😂
@@pencilcheck, in their old apartment, they had to get special trash cans to keep Poki *out* of them. Calling him a trash goblin isn’t an insult, it’s a statement of fact. Kind of like Poki yelling. And when does he yell? Every day ending in Y.
@@ItsJustLisa Yeah, he definitely does not have an inside voice.
My cat is also on meds and we removed all the carpets, but she was at a point where she was so itchy because of her allergies that she was literally tearing her skin off
Try looking into advice for human dust mite allergies. You might find more tips that work just as well for cats. HEPA filters, for example!
replying to bump this up, hope they see it!
@@joerickson645 That makes a lot of sense, I'll start using the flea comb daily! thanks so much for the tip!
as someone with a dust mite allergy, shaking out any pillowcases and blakets outside is great. it is always worse when they are "flying around", so trying to avoid shaking anything inside might help. also, cleaning UNDER and on top of furniture is always a big help, i don't know how well the roomba reaches there.
otherwise, freezing and cleaning any curtains is a must and actually airing out pillows and other furniture may be good.
i'm thinking especially on the cat tree and the climbing furniture migth be places that dust can accumulate. i also had a passing thought that some of the ccords used on the cat trees might be a source? but i'm not too sure about that.
I love how Nagi was drawn to Pichi's wet fur like he's normally drawn to Rachel's wet hair 🤣
the face scent-mark was freaking adorable😂
Oh thats what he was doing.
Yeah, it doesn't "smell right" anymore, so they've gotta "fix it" and make it have again some of the familiar smells it's SUPPOSED to have! ^--^
he's got a thing for Damp Girl Hair apparently

Yeah, same for me, that fact that she trusts her like that was too sweet, she has come a long way!
Nagi trying to put his scent on Pichi then getting the death stare was too funny and cute.

Well he was in bad shape when we found him and he was only like ~6 months old, so either his allergies hadn't really developed yet or they were overshadowed by his other injuries. Poki coming to comfort his sister makes my heart melt😭❤
11:49 That's peak marriage right there, they're not just a husband and wife but also a team, perfect couple.
Lol I'm on cetirizine too! Had no idea it's given to cats as well!

Also, can we just appreciate how stunning Rachel looks in that dress!!!! Green is really her colour!!
Yeah, and her earrings were so pretty! I have similar ones but they are smaller, I want to know where she got these ones!
Love how Poki just follows that unspoken rule of stray cats, that they survive "just fine" in the streets but the moment they set foot on a house they just get ALL THE PROBLEMS. 😅
My late cat was a cat from the streets and survived fine for 9 months on her own...to then get urinary problems for years no matter the food, and died of cancer in less than a year of finding it. My raised by birth between humans cat? Died of old age without any problem, just got too old and decided to go out at 14 years old. 😰
So sorry Poki has such fierce allergies, to the point of tumors.
If I died in the next several years, I'd want to be reincarnated as a cat and be adopted by Jun and Rachel.

It's probably not mites in the kibbles, it's the kibbles themselves. It sounds like he was allergic to one or more of the ingredients.

Haku is such a cat. He doesn't go for the toy, he goes for the box lol

One of my cats is also allergic to mites... it's mostly storage mites that are in basically all food that has any type of grain or other dried vegetables. :/ Now we feed her purely foods made of meat only and it's been getting so much better. We would have never known without the test! I'm so, so happy you got the test done for Poki and that you know what was up now ❤
Pichi has come so far!!! It's amazing to see! It's so obvious that she feels safe and loved.
It's amazing how trusting Pichi has become!! You did a great job with her!!!
They sure did! ❤❤
I can relate to Poki. The dust mite allergies got worse when I got older. Gotta clean the sides of walls and furniture just in case Poki rubs up against them. Dust can accumulate on artificial plants, boxes, and pretty much any surface.
awww, pichi is such a good girl. I always enjoy seeing people working with their skittish cats instead of scaring them by making it happen without any encouragement or anything. you guys seem to be doing great with her tho
oh and she looks SO PATHETIC when she's wet 😭😭
i’m convinced pichi used to have an indoor owner bc she’s suchhh a lap cat 🥺 she got comfortable so quickly for such a skittish kitty

This is so lovely 😊I loved Rachel asking Poki at 14.30 ‘how much have you eaten today?’, and Poki clearly answering ‘nooooothing!’ 😂

Kneading a stomach is a very deeply rooted instinct. Kneading the mother cat's stomach is how the kittens encourage milk production and start the flow of milk when they are hungry.
