  • Since its conception in 1830, over 200 million copies of the Book of Mormon have been published. This makes it one of the most printed and widely distributed books in the world, behind the Bible, the Qur'an, Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung and A Tale of Two Cities. But is it really dangerous? Let's find out!
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written. What do YOU think? Leave a comment.

I was raised Mormon and served an LDS mission and served in a bishopric and led the YM program in two wards. I served in a handful of elders quorums.
I've been where you are. The witnesses are not the strength of the LDS argument. I can get 11 people to say just about anything under the right circumstances.
If you use the word of 11 people as proof, you might also believe in Bigfoot and the loch ness monster. Any witness statements should be compared with scientific facts including native American gene sequencing, historical site archeological excavation data and comparing BOM statements with what we know about the people and animals that populated this nation before Europeans arrived.
In other words, if Fred down the street tells you he saw a space ship land in his back yard last night, you might want to take a look at the back yard.

@@brannonburton5494 the right circumstances could have been it was a slow Thursday.
I'm just saying I don't trust what people claim. People claim some weird things. I would verify other facts before betting my salvation.
I will suggest however, that I am not concerned for your salvation in the same way that I am not concerned about other Christian denomination salvation.
I am just concerned that you (as well as other denominations) have been duped.
Like I said, if someone is making amazing claims, I'm going to need some amazing evidence.
If you claim to have Scripture from God, I'll need more than 11 of your buddies backing you up.
Perhaps some archeological evidence like thousands of swords from the hill cumorah or maybe gene sequencing that shows native Americans descending from Israelites, or possibly the book of Abraham scrolls being re-interpreted to show they really were written by the hand of Abraham.
The problem with Mormonism is that every objective way to validate its truthfulness fails.
Subjective validation, such as these witnesses or even the burning bosom will ring true for some and not others.
You see, if we could just find those swords at cumorah, that would be a strong validation. But alas, those objective truths never quite pan out.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry when you take out the name of Jesus Christ from the church and call them the church of latter-day Saints otherwise known as Mormons. How about the actual name. the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints? And then how about leaving out the pejorative “Mormon” since the church has been asking in their official style guide For almost 10 years to not refer to the church as the Mormon church. It’s not Mormon church. It’s the church of Jesus Christ. It would be like calling the Navajo Redskins. And the Navajos say please don’t call us that. And then saying well, but that’s how everyone knows you so we’re gonna keep calling you the Redskins.

You show the full name of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but only call it the church of Latter Day Saints. This is a simple tactic to erroneously convince people we don’t believe in our savior Jesus Christ. 2. Hahahahahahaha, this is so funny listening to him. I think he broke a record for making mistakes and saying misleading statements. He intentionally pronounces names wrong in the Book of Mormon, callsThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, the 'Mormon Church,' he gets church history wrong, claims there's no evidence for the Book of Mormon, doesn't understand the real history of the ancient papyrus Joseph bought, and makes huge mistakes about the Old Testament. He even said the Book of Revelation is the last scriptures ever written!
Here are some of his big errors: There's a lot of evidence for the people in the Book of Mormon, including horses, wheels, highways, large cities, cities buried in the seas, and stories of a great white god who visited them. The papyrus Joseph bought in Nauvoo was mostly destroyed in a fire. The church only has a small piece of it now. King Nebuchadnezzar and the Tower of Babel happened over 1500 years apart, yet he claims they were at the same time. The Book of Revelation was not the last historical book written in the Bible. The Old Testament's Deuteronomy says similar things, but that doesn't mean there's no Christ.
It seems like he is more interested in getting clicks than telling the truth.

So 1 John 4:1 is why the Book of Mormon is the most dangerous book in the world?? The verse says prove the spirits whether they be of God? You seem to think that an appeal to historicity is how one proves the spirits? That is not what the verse means. It means to examine whether the teachings are in line with the words of Christ. I challenge you to examine the gospel of Christ as it is presented in the Book of Mormon before making your judgment.

Moroni is pronounced Moron-eye.... I get so upset when non-mormons don't accommodate my need to be respected for having the beliefs I have. Never mind the complete lack of evidence whatsoever and the mountain of actual evidence that precludes any possibility that my unsupported beliefs and feelings could have any basis in facts or reality. You see, Im a super special eternal being created for these latter-days, working on perfection and humility so that I will achieve Godhood myself. Even God's work and glory is to bring to pass my exaltation and deliverance of my grand reward for being me and obeying all the commandments invented by my leaders. I really wish you would apologize for your gross disrespect and show me the adoration I deserve for simply being my special, humble and childlike self... chosen for this calling and ordained before the foundations of the world.

@@diggingupthebible Im an ex-mormon who spent 50 years in the church. I am very familiar with mormon doctrine. My comments describe a very common characteristic among the mormon faith community... that being a malignant narcissistic view of themselves and an inflated sense of pride or grandiosity... while at the same time feeling and believing that non-mormons, particularly Christians , are misguided, ignorant fools under the influence if not the complete control of Satan....the brother of Jesus Christ. So Im making a point. Mormons will understand what and how I am saying it and hold up their elevated noses and condemn me for saying it.... completely oblivious to the fact that they are proving every word I say about them absolutely true. Plus it's fun to mock them. Perfectionism is critical to mormon salvation.... to be perfectly obedient to church leaders is to be obedient to God himself. The role of Jesus is secondary to ones own obedience, with Jesus performing as a handy sin janitor... cleaning up the little messes you can't clean up yourself or maybe overlooked. Yes, its true mormons have christianity completely backward but because they are so special and full of pride, they will never make any effort to understand. Check your comments and I bet you'll be able to pick out the mormon responses..... Prideful, indignant and self-righteous.

Show me Noah's ark then I'll believe, Show me the actual cross that Jesus was crucified on then I'll believe. What did the savior say about signs. What did he say to Thomas who absolutely would not believe until he himself touched his wounds. The holy ghost speaks more strongly to our hearts and minds about spiritual things even if the golden plates were actually here and people could see them and even handle them it's still not a testimony to them unless they read, study, and pray to them their just gold plates and most of us would think monetary value. The book of mormon is absolutely true it's a companionship to the bible it answers questions that the bible can't. The church is here to stay we will still print book of Mormons, send out missionaries, build temples, and baptize those who are seeking the truth.
