This station also had the honour to be called "LED station" for a couple of years as all of its front line vehicles had LED's (LRU, HP, TL, MP) and always seemed to have first dibs on the new trucks despite other stations using older ones such as Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok
mlps93 Oh that’s cool! I love it when a station is equipped with all the newest toys ;D It might be because TST is such a touristy area, and kind of like the ‘downtown’ of Hong Kong. In some places they like to give the flashy new trucks to the busy downtown stations so they get a lot of exposure. In my opinion the trucks that get used the most should be the first to be replaced.
Nice one! Most likely AFA call, most of the times I do come here, the HP gets a turnout for an AFA Did you know the light bar is programmable and can flash in a different pattern? When they first got this truck I think in 2006 the light bar flashed differently (also before they got the updated livery) ruclips.net/video/1JR6i2UcpcI/видео.html (in 2008) Here too, you can see that it flashed faster ruclips.net/video/8gYKRpYyCVE/видео.html (2008 too)
mlps93 Thank you my friend! Always waiting for your comments on my HK vids ;) 👍🏼 Yes I would also say this was a ‘low priority’ AFA, they didn’t seem to be in too much of a rush. I think the flash pattern and speed is good on this truck, not as slow as some of the MPs. If it still had some grille lights this HP would actually be a great model for an effective HKFSD lighting set-up :P
Burnaby Emergency Photography Nah that’s actually pretty normal for this hobby. Waiting is part of the game 😅 But in such a busy area like TST it might be a little long.
Burnaby Emergency Photography Of course they have a number for the ambulance lol Fire trucks don’t often respond to medical calls, if that’s what you mean.
You must be very happy about this one haha, nice catch! Also is the intro thingy with the city/area scenery gonna become a regular thing (like we discussed previously)?
Thanks Jimbo! Yea wasn’t too bad to finally catch a proper TST turnout! ;P Yea kinda, I’ve been meaning to do it, and see how it works, so I’m gonna try it out on a few videos. What did you think of it?

TST,the forever "打仔局"(Cantonese slang, means fire stations which have lots of duties, often in urban area or slums)
中華人民共和國統一工作部 Oh I see haha ...I would not call TST a slum, but it’s a busy area for sure ;P

Awesome catch!! How long did you wait for?
Thank you! ;D Over two hours as far as I remember, even though TST is considered a very busy station.
TGG - Global Emergency Responses your welcome! Oh okay. Well that’s a little long.
Burnaby Emergency Photography Nah that’s actually pretty normal for this hobby. Waiting is part of the game 😅

TGG - Global Emergency Responses lol yeah, that’s what I was thinking, but in Hong Kong they have a number for Ambulance right?
Burnaby Emergency Photography Of course they have a number for the ambulance lol

Nice catch! The siren sounds a little like the Australian siren...
Thanks! It could be the same siren but on night mode?
