[Hong Kong] Fire Station Tour!

- Captured here is the bustling Wan Chai area of Hong Kong Island, which is home to the Hong Kong Fire Services Department's (HKFSD) Wan Chai Fire Station. This station is one of the oldest and busiest in the whole territory and is therefore rarely open to visitors. While I was filming responses here the firefighters noticed and waved me over to invite me inside the station! I hope you enjoy this exclusive look inside Wan Chai Fire Station. Yes absolutely! I was standing across the street with my camera when all of a sudden the station’s commanding officer signaled me to come over. I thought I was in trouble or something, but then he just asked me if I would like to come inside! 😅😂
Very gracious of them to let you in and film their station. This is a very rare occasion for the western fire enthusiast to see.
I hope I will have a chance to visit this station in near future. So cool

Wan Chai is the busiest station on Hong Kong Island. The LRU was going for a medical/heart attack call based on the turnout announcement I could hear.
Not sure if you know, but the firefighters were talking about you when the LRU was reversing in XD
Nothing bad though. The jist was that one of them noticed you were standing there for a while, and saw you filming from across the station when they were turning out, and that this was apparently your first of six days in HK, and that you liked the Fire Services.
Hope some time in the near future I too can show you the "ropes" of the stations outside of the main commercial/downtown districts :)
Haha I was expecting this kind of comment from you 😆😆 ...I just felt like now was the right time to post it lol (and I’m happy with the way the edit turned out) ...I know it’s been a while since it was actually filmed, but I always upload in a pretty random order depending on what I feel like.

It adds up though, those were pretty much the first things we talked about when they asked me to come in. I guess they were honestly curious about what I was up to (kind of surprising since quite a few people come to that spot to film responses). We had a few more good conversations afterwards as well, comparing fire departments in Asia and North America etc.
And yea man I’d love to go filming together in HK one day!! Overall I’m really wanting to go back there and just invest a good week or so into getting videos (I never have enough time when I’m there). Hopefully this virus goes away soon and we can make it happen 🙌🏼

I hope Vietnam have more Fire Medic like in HK, SGP,... we don't have much Fire Medics, just firefighters with BLS, often times the victim had to wait for the hospital's ambulance to be on scene.

This video was filmed in February 2018. All of my videos include the date they were filmed in the description. These days, during the pandemic, no visitors are allowed inside fire stations in Hong Kong.
