I grew up listening to Crosby, Stills & Nash & had their album with this song Helplessly Hoping. Absolutely loved them & their harmonies. This song is full of alliterations. Home Free more than does justice to all the songs they cover. And this song is perfection to me with the 5 part harmonies. I can't say enough about how great these guys are & humble while still staying respectful to the original song.

Crosby Stills & Nash broke some ground with this song, creating an alliterative lyric that lingers in one's mind and soul. I believe this is Home Free's finest hour, in terms of technical prowess and harmonic perfection. But that unison singing, though! I love it, and I love your breakdown of it as always, Jen. Many thanks!

It's hard to pick a favorite. To me, it depends on what kind of mood I'm in, and what I'm thinking at the time. I still love Butts when I want to have a good laugh, Brothers in Arms when I'm thinking of our Soldiers, and Amazing Grace when I'm thinking of spirituality. ALL of their songs resonate with my soul

I love that you picked up on the unison at the beginning. What makes it all the more impressive for me is that it occurs with a bass/baritone and a tenor instead of two voices of equal pitch. It showcases both the range and level of talent of these guys. And the unison is near perfect.

You're just a pleasure to watch. Can't wait for Day 3. So glad you're focusing on my favourite group Home Free. Saw them live in Toronto in May and they were fantastic. Both Adam's swapped out of their high-highs and low-lows a couple of times in there. Most people don't think about Rupp having the range he does, but it shows in his beatboxing so smoothly that no one notices. Especially when doing the DJ stuff he will have high squeal scratches mixed with thundering 808 bass in the same breath.

Great job Jen! I love this rendition because it is more solemn than the original performance, and more in keeping with Stephen Stills' lyric direction. He has stayed consistently in Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarists list.

I missed your livestream this morning (morning to me) because I was watching a bunch more of your reactions to Home Free. I MUST MAKE SOME (2) SUGGESTIONS!! Older but still great "Elvira" with the Oak Ridge Boys and more recent "American Pie" with Don McClean.

Before Home Free did Brother's in Arms, this song and How Great Thou Art were the high bar to try and surpass for sheer harmonic beauty. This group of men are definitely not a 1 trick pony like some people assume when they hear that Home Free is touted as a country a capella group. I prefer to think of them as a small magical band of unicorns! Great reaction as always! As I'm sure you know, the Home Fries wouldn't mind more than 1 week of Home Free. ❤

Jennifer, if you go back to Chance and Rob's first duo part, you'll also notice during the the phrase, "at the sound of goodbye" that Chance does not say the word "of", instead taking in a noticeable breath instead.
