Great review. Thoroughly enjoyed the off road section with the explanation of the camera system. Am looking forward to future videos of you putting this great truck through its paces.👍🏻

Well done young Steve, pleased for you for two reasons, 1st as you got a fresh, new, out-the-box model, and 2 are because not only do you understand fenders and Discos, but your clever enough to explain the tech and what it does on this new Fender.. I'm very impressed not only by your review but the defender Itself. Yes we know It's now non-framed like old-designed Rangies, Discos, and Fenders, but the UK Freelander I have broke that mold and so Landrover have It Improved its design even further... Am I jealous? NO of course I am - LOL.. Thanks again, Steve.. Ian - UK.

Wow, that is a pretty amazing truck. I was under the impression that newer Range Rovers had low resale values do to high repair cost and poor design. Is that no longer the case? Have they improved quality?

Yeah JLR built a billion dollar factory in Slovakia and the quality has gone way up. JD power and others show it much better now.

I think you actually have to pull the hood release 2x to pop the bonnet

Do you still have this Defender? I've been reading that reliability is abysmal.

can you imagine when this breaks down in the outback - LR will have to helicopter in a software engineer with laptops and a suitcase of silicon chips and diagnostic equipment - too funny - wonder how many will take a $125,000 vehicle offroad ? Do you have a LR shop in Iowa ? Where and what is the name of the shop ?

    Wrong.
STARTER GENERATOR Harvest energy... sending electricity to the battery, redeploying it as torque to aid transient acceleration.
Sounds to me like electric motor can drives wheel togetrher with petrol engine. You misunderstood / didn't read the diagram.

Shifter left to the S, then try acceleration test again. That is sport mode on every Land Rover. It only activates manual shifting if you push it up or down to shift manually. Just leave it on the S and it will sharpen throttle response and shift speed.
