It's a mouse and it likes Takis place.
Takis shelter is probably the only place on earth where rats and mice are welcome 😊
Takis might welcome them but I suspect the cats and dogs are probably operating under a different policy when it comes to rats. 😆
Vida é vida. Viva a vida! (pt)
He hasn't experienced a mouse plague yet.
Muchas gracias
Takis so kind saint earth angel, our today's St Francis!! AMEN
The size says mouse but that tail says rat! Highly intelligent underrated much maligned little Animals, sadly. And sad that just surviving is so difficult. Good ☘️Luck little fella. 🤗♥️☘️🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦
yes, rattus norwegians.

Beautifully put blessed be x
Long-tailed field mice, commonly found on many islands in the Mediterranean.
Phew. My Zoologist mind was headed to that
Just plain rodent but they are all adorable.
Looks like a mouse
Its got fur on its tail, its a mouse. Rats and mice both can make very good friends and neighbors. Rat "problems" are not caused by rats but by human trash and badly stored food items causing rats to proliferate. As most of the people here at Takis Shelter central already know. I just feel like being a smug know-it-all fancy pants....
It looks like a very big mouse, it could be a mama mouse foraging for her babies, every creature has to eat to live Papa T is a latter day St Francis blessed be x
Looks like a spiny mouse that are indigenous to Crete.
It's a field mouse. In the past, you've caught them a few times inside the buildings and released them outside afterwards.
As long as they don't get into the animals food.
Takis needs a book of native wildlife for Greece and surrounding areas.
European commenters say it is a dormouse, a woodlands rodent, native to Europe, Asia and Africa. The rodent stealing the dogfood in this video appears to have fur on its tail, and common rats and mice have hairless tails. Internet info said it hibernates 6 months of the year, is nocturnal and looks sleepy. So yes, it would be wildlife on Crete, and is likely unknown to followers from the Americas. There are introduced, widespread, non-native rodents in the US, but I believe the dormouse has not yet arrived. 🐀❤
@@cs5414 thanks for the correct id on that.
I think it's a Deer mouse...so cute!!!
TAKIS: that's for sure a MOUSE. The big, perky ears gave the mouse away. Very cute, feisty one. They're harmless.
Harmless unless you're a 1950s housewife. Eek!
Its the wood mouse (field mouse)has very long tail, opodemus sylvaticus
It's a mouse Takis. But I'm sure you wouldn't care either way, that's the kind of animal lover you are and I love you for that! 🥰 How cute that they just popped out to grab a biscuit then popped back into the bushes!
We all love him for this blessed be x
It's another friend 😊
This is the correct answer 👆

Cute rat ❤
Looks like a mouse with a very long tail
That means it's a rat !!
@@kimmarievan-ever6599 I looked it up- means mouse.
Mouse
Unfortunately they have bad reputation and do a lot of damage, but also are intelligent creatures.
Given it's proportionally long tail it's a mouse.
I think it's a mouse 🐀 Takis lol, Take care everyone. ❤️✌🏻. CALI 🌴
Looks like a mouse..cute.
The mouse or whatever found sanctuary. Good for you Lil One.
A mouse guys 😂😂😂
Mouse🐁 😊
A mouse wirh that ears.
Maybe a Wood mouse (Apodemus sylvaticus) or a Crete spiny mouse (Acomys minous), but certainly not a rat.
Got a face like a mouse but a long tail so I'm not sure . He's very cute anyway 😊
It's a Long-tailed Field Mouse.
@EdwardVonKhil that's nice . At least I know now 🙂
Das ist definitiv eine Maus ❤️
Cute wild mouse !
It looks like a mouse to me.😊
It looks like a field mouse to me - I once had one in my flat and looked it to find out what it was. This one probably just smelled the dog food!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
That is a rat brave enough to come out with dogs around
That’s right.
They go by sense of smell...I dont think theirs an area within 5 miles of takis that doesn't smell like dog so they might not view it as a threat considering its the entire environment they live In.
Not rat
😃🐀❤

looks like a mouse to me according to google search.
Mouse :)
Maybe the snake will find him.
No Rat ..No Mouse---> perhaps a Bilch? ( de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilche)
The German "bilche" is close to the Slavic languages names for the same woodlands rodent, called dormouse in English. Another commenter also said it is a dormouse, with hair on its tail, compared to hairless tails on common mice and rats. Thank you for the information! ❤
I think a mouse
He’s just trying to survive,, young rat but life is life , rats have a bad reputation but i think they’re marvellous little creatures 😊
They absolutely are!! I have had rats and they are cuddly affectionate beautiful little souls!!👍😃🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦
Looks like a mouse to me.
❤❤❤❤❤
❤
It's a Rat Takis !
❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Baby rat looking for food
It is cute
That's an European dormouse (Latin name Glis Glis). Common mice and rats have a hairless tail. Even tough it has the word mouse in it's name, it isn't even technically a mouse. It's closer related to a squirrel than it is to a mouse. Takis has multiple videos where he films these beautiful creatures. Sometime ago he uploaded a video where he saves one from a watertank.
Thank you for this information! I also read that they are small woodlands rodents native to in Africa, Asia and Europe; they are nocturnal, hibernate 6 months of the year, and are perpetually drowsy; and became better known from a dormouse character in the "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" book and film. Their name is derived from the French verb dormir, to sleep. 🐀❤

Rat enjoying the goodies with the dogs👍
Mouse
@@DARWINZOOrat
@kimmarievan-ever6599 it's not. Read other comments, it's a long tailed mouse found on Crete.
Wow at You! Expert. I bow down
@kimmarievan-ever6599 ah just saw your overall other comments. Can you read my name? Degree. Enjoy yourself little bossy
aaaw 🥰🥰
Mouse/Rat loves dog food ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mouse,,
Que gracioso el ratoncito
Looks like a Woodmouse or Long tailed field mouse. Apodemus sylvaticus that's what it is.
Other European commenters said it is a dormouse, bilche in German, similar name in Slavic languages. A dormouse has hair / fur on its tail, but Apodemus sylvaticus has a hairless tail and is in the Order Rodentia, Family Muridae. The Bilche is in the Order Rodentia Family Gliridae, Genus Glis, species glis. Glis glis is the largest of the European dormice, and is also known as the fat or edible dormouse. The Romans used to keep them in jars, overfeed them, then cook and eat them.
I can only present information that suggests the fur / hair on its tail makes it a Bilche, rather than Apodemus sylvaticus. 🐀❤
I can't quite determine the size, but it looks like a mouse with a long tail.🤔
I have had rats as pets for many years, and they ran differently....sort of like hopping.
I think it's a mouse, but without something to compare it's size to, it's hard to say.
I think it’s a mouse. Large ears and round eyes, creamy belly.
“The easiest distinguishing feature is the smaller body size of the house mouse at 3-10 cm long, compared to a rat’s body length of 16 - 40 cm. However an adult mouse can be easily confused with a young rat.
A mature mouse can be distinguished from a young rat by its larger ears and longer tail compared to its body length than the rat.
A young rat also has distinctly larger feet and head compared to the body than a mouse.
Mice are usually light grey or brown in colour with a lighter shade on their bellies.”
The tail is quite long. With a short head and large eyes. Color tone light abdomen with field grey top.
Mouse.
Looks like a mouse, but the size of a rat
Maybe it's a rouse.
😉😊💗💜💛♾️
I say mouse.
That's a mouse of some kind... No idea what mice you get on Crete 🐭
❤️🐹❤
Che carino 😂🐀❤
Looks like little mouse (or rat) got off at the wrong island...he was heading for Mouse Island in Greece 🐭
It has the head of a mouse, and the longest tail I've ever seen! 😮
It must be a hybrid....😊😉😉
Long-tailed Field Mouse, common in that area.
Young ratty friend
That is a young rat
I think it’s a mouse.
@@Cicelyizelong tail and body, definitely a young rat
@@twowolves888but round ears and creamy belly. Without a measuring tape for the body, mice have relatively longer tails to body size than rats. The only thing is the tail thickness.
@@twowolves888maybe you’re right. Very think tail.
I live in California so am not too familiar, but looks like a wood mouse to me. Little thief!!
Hard to tell from this video. Mice have thin, slightly hairy tails; rats have a thicker, hairless, scaly tail. The nose of a mouse is triangular in shape; the nose of a rat is more blunt and rounded. If it is a mouse, it's a very big one.
Your rats in Crete have strange tails. Longer than what I have seen, and much thicker ... especially toward the tip. But as we all know, when a species is isolated on an island, they often develop unusual characteristics, unique from the same species on the continents.
Das ist eine Maus. 😬
Guess who is coming to dinner ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rat looking for food 🥰
With this tail...? Definitely rat 🐀
Long tailed field mouse
Absolutely a mousse!!
Vole?
Souris ou rat, il a faim !!!😂
Both are bad news.
