I thought Oshkosh only made kid's clothes back in the 80's-90's. I had a sweet train engineer outfit, white and blue striped denim overalls with the matching hat. HaHa LOL Now the Oshkosh company I hear about makes armored military vehicles. OSHKOSH B'GOSH!
That is not the same company. Oshkosh truck is an old company. Oshkosh B'gosh is an OLD company, made overalls back 100 years ago and founded in the 1800's. I have a lined denim coat my Grandpa had that dates to the early 70's, and this was the one he hadn't worn out. They were around so long because the clothese were extremely high quality. Can't say the same nowdays, 25 years ago or so with the brilliant idea of NAFTA they sent all their work to Mexico. Turned into a walmart brand. Vintage oshkosh bgosh coats and overalls for adults are bulletproof and the designs aged very well.
Gotta love that old P-series!!! Indestructible work horse!! everyone needs one or two to play with. I get to work on em almost everyday and can't get enough.....
I bet he's wearing Oshkosh bibs while he's plowing. Where I used to live in Wisconsin, if we got snowed in, that was the best sound in the world,,, hearing that Oshkosh V-plow snorting up the road.
To radbcc Locomotives and cruise ships are not Hybrids They use a diesel engine to generate electricity to run the electric motors that drive the wheels and props and provide light. that is the engines only function , unlike a hybrid car that uses both the engine and the electric motor to move the car at various stages
Although diesel smoke is in fact largely composed of soot (much of which does fall to the ground), you would be ignorant to think it does not pollute the air.Furthermore, the ground in which these paticulates fall is polluted when these gases are realeased i.e.- polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (which can contaminate ground water and build up in rivers/oceans as they do not break down in water)... Not trying to be a "tree hugger", just thought I would correct ya- -Love the old Oshkosh though!
@blackneydavid dont believe everything that gabigowriel says. He probally dosen't even now a thing about global warming and everything else he says is wright

Cloths for kids and toys for adults ;)
Theyve been making trucks way longer than clothes!!

I love Oshkosh equipment. The military equipment they make is also awesome

That's an "I'm not friggin' kidding" Plow. Good stuff.
Cummins NHC 250 with a 5 over 4 main and auxilary transmissions which gives me 20 speeds forward. It's a 1971 Oshkosh P2427.
20 forward gears and you only need 4... love it lol
@@ethang6735 Hahaaa
truck pron, eh?
RUclips algorithm gotta love it 😍

Always keep in mind,Tools are what keeps us out of the TREES!
@6030diesel its soot not smoke and it settles to the ground and does not pollute the air just thought i should correct ya
B’Gosh!...That’s one heck of plow.
This looks like the one Hot Wheels had back in the day!
My, what a big driveway you have!
please, Please, PLEASE don't deposit that shit at the end the driveway I just spent hours clearing out!!!
sure. who needs roads cleared, you need your driveway cleared so you can...well go no where.
Sucks for you, hope you got it cleared by now six years later ;)
That is a awesome snowplow!
Total best guess where the actual road is.
Dammit!! scotty I need more power!!!
Made in WI baby! Every township has one here!
Woot! Let's hear it for WI! (and the Packers, of course)
@@keemez On, Wisconsin!
Go Packers! F@*k the bears!
If it ain't built in Oshkosh then it's probably shit lets go badgers
Kinda looks like tughill NY
Sounds like she's Detroit Diesel powered. ?
I see OP has cleared up that it is a Cummins, but I thought it was a Detroit as well. Either was it sounds like an ungodly amount of twist.
Looks like a gravel road in Iowa after a 40 mph wind , in Feb.
Or North Dakota...lived there until I was 20. That was long enough!

This is cool job :) Trying to resist mother nature every day :D
He had to stop cause he didn't want to bury the video takers.
Now that is some snow.... Damn!
now I want one
Would have made it if he kept the wing up.
I'd love to go sledding or skiing on this powder
.
You can't see the road, to clear...
i have driven on of those with 4 wheel steer a real nice truck at 150k
I was hoping it was gonna be an Oshkosh MRAP lol
That looks nothing like the city of Oshkosh.
cool, i just got one question. who is video taping and how did they get threw the snow?
now thats a REAL job
Nice plow.
RUclips Recomendation
sounds like she's got a detroit in her more than a cummins
Never had enough power to do much
@247Countryboy1 wow! they dont make trucks like this anymore!
13 years late...

-Love the old Oshkosh though!
it's all organic baby
Where is that incredible winter wonderland?
Cool
How do you know where the road is if it's covered with snow?
I know where the road is when you can see the smashed mailbox of everyone on the street in the plow truck rear view mirror.
Love it!!!!
If it was a Chevy it would've made it without stopping.
@kev8338 well, here it's plowing that hard, crusty-to-the-bottom kinda snow so yea.
Pfffffffft grab my shovel!
Think that truck would do the same if it was the wet and heavy kind of snow?
Stick to the road that you missed!! So us snowmobiles can pass!!
@doluck2100 you. They now make the P-50 series plows.
How the hell do you know where the road is?
BekiekUtMoar you dont
Wherever you plow is where people will drive I guess, better to drive on a plowed field that a road covered by a couple feet of snow.
That's it????
+MrAirman812 Agreed, a longer video would have been nice.
No need for a shovel
All the down-votes are snowflakes.
That plow will be perfect for the zombie hoards during the apocalypse....
I guess an underbody plow just wouldn`t "cut it" it here....lol...
wow i bet that was over 2 ft
🙏🙏🙏👈👆
Kremmling, CO
Who would want to live in such a place?
@newsflash And thus I never can. Thanks for the tip.
Not people like you.
@@Icutmetal Obviously.
@newsflash Agreed.
@newsflash Too late. Already been there.
Was cold.
Wasn't even winter.
Did you know your ice piles up on the sides of rivers and stuff? Weird.
samndbo......get a grip. get reality, only a diesel would have the power to move that snow
I would go trough there at 100mph.
No, you wouldn’t.
👆🙏🙏🙏👇
Why did he stop?
is oshkosh still making equipment? i havent seen an oshkosh since i was little.
In the Army alone they build fire trucks, cargo trucks, mine resistant patrol vehicles. Sure they still make equipment, now and 11 years ago.
@stevesai It's a cummins.
Your right on that. All the ones I've driven were Cummins or Caterpillar.
Where was this taken?
tack
How's the gas mileage on that thing?
It's gs mileage is great.....it does not use any.

Привет 🙂👋
Osh kosh B gosh
Good work but lots of ugly smoke.
@bigplowman FU
About 30 secs lost in my life, worthless
Yet here you are.
I thought hearing the sound of that diesel was worth it alone
Back when men new how to clear roads
No job is too big for the Oshkosh...
