    My father-in-law has the CPX 3 and I will say, it has almost no felt recoil when shooting and the slide is incredibly easy to rack, as compared to other 380's or SCCY's own CPX 2 9mm, which is a lot stiffer.

    SCCY will replace magazines free of charge as part of their lifetime warranty.
    I absolutely love their customer service and my CPX2.
    Only malfunctions I’ve had have been ammo or bad magazine related.

      I agree...just went through magazine replacement from SCCY. The only thing I don't like about that is they have been making the CPX1/2 for a long time, my wife and I both have CPX 2's made in late 2018. I feel like they should already have the new mags and a call/replacement shouldn't have been necessary. Otherwise, it's a little snappy but I just seem to like shooting it...even over other higher priced guns I have.

    I was going to get one of these pistols, but opted for the LCP instead. I still may get one later. Some of my favorite pistols, I bought at a budget price. Out of all my .380s, I'm liking my Bersa Thunder CC the best.

    I had problems reassembling my CPX2 after cleaning; the slide would stop before fully on the rails, it would stop with a metallic clunk like it was hitting the ejector. I called service and without much discussion they sent me a new slide and told me to send the old one back. Put it together and it worked fine. A+ service to me.
    I have wondered why they went from 10 rounds of 9mm to 10 rounds of .380.

    My daughter has the Gen. 2, 9mm version. The recoil spring on that little gun is a beast! It is a good gun, and their warranty is the best on the market! (I just don't like the small grip for my large hands. If they made longer mags w/ grip extensions, i'd get one )

    I have 2 9mm CPX-2s. IMHO, the .380 might be a better choice because in 9mm they are pretty snappy. Thanks for sharing.

    I recently bought two CPX 2's, one for my wife and one for me. She has a Ruger LC9s, but felt the grip was a little thin and she couldn't get a good purchase on it. These were inexpensive and they work, after receiving 4 new mags (2 each) from SCCY. Apparently they changed the design of the feed lips, allowing the follower to come completely to the top of the mag, eliminating the nose diving issue I was having.
    Mine might end up being a test bed gun for things like the Galloway Precision short stroke trigger & hammer kit. Wish I could find decent sights for these, as the stock sights are basic, but quality sights would really make a difference.

    Did they make the frame pins better? Cpx2 i own had problems with the pins sliding out after a good 200 rounds ran through it, plus that long ass trigger pull reminds me of a revolver.

    I had one of these in 9mm blow up in my hand. It was my buddies. We were out messing around. He was shooting it all day. Hands it to me, first trigger pull, boom. The slide broke in half and fell off the gun. I’ll pass. Sccy sent him a brand new one though. So that’s pretty cool.

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  5 лет назад +2

      Sounds like an ammo issue.

    • @cosmolinefiend9853
      @cosmolinefiend9853 5 лет назад +1

      Graham Baates yea we heavily considered a supercharged load. But it didn’t sound “off” to my recollection. When we collected the 2 pieces of the slide we noticed cracking beyond where it broke. Like there were more spider webs stemming from the actual break. Weird. I don’t think it was necessarily anything on sccy but it did put a sour taste in my mouth.

      your buddy and you are both idiots who shouldnt own guns. You mentioned you were "Out messing around" very unwise to mess around with a gun. Your boyfriend probably had a squib stuck in the barrel and thats why it blew up. A squibbed bullet will blow up any pistol including a Glock or SIG.
